well the guitar parts are different than the mandolin parts. The guitar parts are simply Am, Em, B, C# <---vary basic. There may be variations but all in all those are the root chords.

if you search the song title, user 971hankfm has a video of the girl playing the song. you can see her chords perfect as well as progressions. this chick has some really good hammer-ons/pulls offs that put the icing on the song, but i can't tab all that out in this little box. see other video for guidance.

Good tutorial, you should number the strings correctly for beginner players. All other tab notations puts the small e on the bottom as string 1.

no offense but Bm4 isnt a real chord..... what youre actually playing is an Am chord just moved down to the third fret.... but dont worry because the fingering that u put for the "Bm4" chord is the same as an Am chord (just moved down to the third fret like i said before) and its not the video makers fault its just that who ever made the tab was just wrong.......

quick question. chords are very clear and to the point. great job. throughout the song how ever i can distinctly hear single chords or tabs if you prefer. i've been looking and can't find them anywhere. any clue as to where i can? i would love to mix them in with the chords and get the full effect of the song. amazing song btw.

@puppydogg001 You're right, there are single chords/tabs played throughout the song, but I'm not sure how to play that, so I usually play E, D, G, B on the G chord, D, G, B, e on the D chord, A,D,G,B on the A chord and D, G, B, e on the Bm4 chord...Too confuse?

It's not perfect, but I like it:) I did not put that on this tutorial because this is an easy tutorial ad also because I think it's not exactly how it's played...Anyway I hope that helps

@shanandleah You play D chord and while strumming: DUDDDU. For G chord you play DDDDU. For A Chord you play DDDDU (the same as G chord) and for Bm4 DUDDDU, like you play the D chord...I hope this clears that up for you. Have a nice day:)

There are so many different variations of that chord including power and barre...to say that isn't a G is saying that the song isnt capoed...just because you play it differently does not mean it is wrong any other way...i play my G without the B string fretted and the way it is shown...some people like it better the other way.

@JessieAshley2010 You can play E,A,B, and C#m I think instead of G, D, A and Bm4, but those are harder to play (but not impossible, if you keep practicing). Anyway I think you can find a decent capo for 10 bucks, I don't think that's too expensive. @AlexaBairos You won't need a capo. You can play it without one, it's just that it won't be EXACTLY like The Band Perry's version. The pitch of the strings will change, and that's it. When you play it, it will just be lower than if you DID have a capo on the 2nd fret.

This is a great tutorial! The best for this song by far. The only comment I have is, I have never seen a D chord played the way you played it. I learned it: 1st finger, 2nd fret, 3rd string; 2nd finger, 2nd fret, 1st string; 3rd finger, 3rd fret, 2nd string.

your fingering is the most common fingering. His fingering is just a bar version of the open D chord
