HA! i also LOVEEE! that bit where it goes all silent and then....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh wham bam thankyou maam! :D the whole video rocks! This really made my day!
Stacey Heydon from Toronto ,Canada ,of course.David has picked Stacey and another popular string man from right here in his fave city,Toronto,Ca.The Big Smoke....as native Canadians used to term it as...David is here this week with lovely wife Iman...somethings up,and probably not the Canada's Top Model program that she hosts...
In the bigginning of this song you David go "EWE!", Well I do that alot when I sing and I got it from Bono, but now I realize Bono got it from Bowie! Ha ha Thats so funny man. Bowies the pioneer!
Sounds like Earl Slick on lead guitar and Carlos Alomar on rythm. Anyone know the rest of the line up? Incidentally (for those of you who were not yet alive) Earl is wearing a "huckapoo" shirt. They were all the rage in 76.
GET FUCKING sTATION 2 sTATION ...THAT OPENER, THESE KIDS HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT THEY MISSED, THEY WILL SHIT JUST LISTENING TO THE 15 MINUTE OPENING,AFTER SEEING sALVIDOR dALI'S MOWIE WITH A REAL EYEBALL SLICING SCENE IN BLACK N WHITE...THE gERMAN BAND kRAFTWEK, BCAKED UP...CRISSAKES THESE KIDS KNOW SHIT WHAT REALLY HAPPENED AT THE STATION CONCERTS...DAVE DID WEMBLY....COUNT EM 3...THREE NITES IN A ROW AT 100,000 FANS EACH!!!!!!
I remember he did 5 or 6 nights at Wembley. I also remember the audience at the concert there when I went gave the un chien andalou film a distinct no no. And there was no backing band, I think there was Kraftwerk music before the film. 1976, happy days

That's Stacey Heydon, not Earl Slick.

I appreciate that!!!
Makes sense actually. I don't think I ever saw Slick playing a telecaster anyhow.
These clips are treasures
