Really good match between two really offensive teams, that's why I love watching THPS. They're really aggressive, and even if they mess up or something, they might not have a plan, but they can make one split-second.

I've never seen the Syndney Sleeper used so well in a competitive game, if at all. Kind of makes me see it in a new light, because the point of it wasn't to just pick off the opposing team, but make them fear being Jarated. Battalion Backup as well; nice support use. The commentary strayed from the match a lot, but still a very action-packed game.

Buff banner uses a rectangular flag while Defense Banner uses a triangular flag, although, with the indicators off, I don't think you see them during matches. The feature is that for the buff banner, your weapons glow while for battalion's backup, your feet glows. Lastly, There's the difference in the models themselves, battalion's being black, and box-like, while the buff banner is rounded, and brown.

I can honestly say that this was the most interesting comp tf2 match I've seen to date, came down to sudden death, every round was a close call, interesting use of off-classes and alternative weapons, and some interesting tactics used.

Thought the commentating was below your usual standard but overall a great vid.

You can tell which team is using the banner by the noise that the horn makes, it's two hoots for Blu and one long hoot for Red I believe :)

The soldiers do not know about the banner hold trick.

When blowing the horn, you can hold down M1 and contain the banner and not allowing it to deploy. As soon as you do let go of M1, it instantly banners and gives the boost. That way you won't waste time banner without any team mates around or in the back.

You can tell by the flag.  Otherwise there is no real indicator for both the enemy or your team-mates. But you tell by the flag. Triangle is backup, square is banner.

@lolloxor : KOTH : Viaduct and KOTH in general is one of the hardest type of maps in TF2 for medics. a Medic's worst enemies are the scout and the roaming solider in this format. Both of which have tremendous advantages in a small vertical map like Viaduct. Pressure is always on the medic by these two. Not to mention the fact that the entire surrounding cap point of Viaduct can be air-bursted by good demos which negates a lot of the LOS cover from the rocks that border the cap point.

The Backup and Buff Banner both have glows around those in effect, but the weapons glow if its a buff banner. Honestly I always use buff banner, its like a kritzkrieg medic that only dies if you die, and your not restricted where you go.

@RohtoFiN The more 1st person views you get, the slower the videos come out. It takes a lot of time and effort to edit together 40+ minutes of gameplay, even without finding moments and editing in 1st person plays. It's a balance between speed of the videos and the amount of editing put in.

The lack of knowledge over the weapons is a little embarrassing man... The orange glow from the red team was because the Backup glow is related to the color of team you're on. Dynamic isn't dumb enough to use the Buff Banner against the Backup when the Backup completely counters the Banner. Also, the Buff Banner glow affects the weapon, the person is holding, to visually show that mini-crits will be shot out. Both horns make the same sound, but the sound is different for each team color.

As for the FPS, I think the webcam capture in the beginning got messed up, but the rest of the footage was captured at 45-60 fps. The movie is at 30FPS and in my opinion looks quite crisp. Not much blur on it. The movie file was 3.5GB @ 30FPS, I was scared of the size of a 60FPS file.

@CommFT Hmm, how bizarre. Though you could always turn off mp_usehwmmodels and mp_usehwmvcds. They're for subtle facial improvements that wouldn't be noticeable in your casts. (Or at least, less noticeable than uncoloured heads)

As for the framerate, in the "Show video info" part (right click on the player) you can see it's definitely 15, even at 720p. I believe it happened with the eMg/coL video and the Feb 14th update too.
