    Thanks!

    > I'm only starting to play the harp

Because it's so small, you can practice in all sorts of places that you never could with larger instruments . . . just about all my practicing was done on the street while walking back & forth from my job to my NYC subway stop.

  • Todd I really love your blues harmonica playing. I wish I had your confedence to put my own videos of my playing up to.

One thing I am trying to do is get the harmonica and guitar jam going but it hard to think of a blues riff for the harp and still carry on play guitar rythume.

    Keep on posting todd

    Best wishes

  • I was just saying to myself - hey, wasn't Todd going to upload that vid? I guess it would help if I subscribed... duh.

Beautifully done, Todd. I love, love your harmonica part.

  • > I guess it would help if I subscribed...

Well, I make it confusing by having multiple channels!

    > I love, love your harmonica part.

Thanks for all your help in getting the superimposed effect--and the inspiration (from your video) to do so!

  • very well done!!

    5stars and a favourite !

  • > 5 stars and a favourite!

Flattered to see it there! (Yes, I confess that I checked ha-ha.)

  • Five stars! Very soulful, and the warbles capture the soul of blues harmonica. Excellent job. I hear the nod to Paul Harrington, too.

  • > Five stars! Very soulful, and the warbles capture the soul of the blues harmonica

I'm honored! (This makes me once again appreciate the wonder of the internet---can you imagine aspiring players throughout the world back in the '50s being able to share their harp playing with Little Walter and have him comment back?)

    > I hear the nod to Paul Harrington

Yes, albeit a very simplified nod! (BTW I tried to contact Paul via the email you provided so I could buy his CD--no reply yet though.)

  • Wow !!

    Well done.

    STeph.

  • > Well done

    Thanks Steph!

  • Sublime!

Do passers by throw coins to you when you do these subway performances?

  • > Sublime!

    Thank you!

    > Do passers by throw coins to you when you do these subway performances?

No, but that's probably because I only record these at 5:00 a.m. on weekends when there aren't too many commuters around. (Otherwise their conversations interfere with the recording, and even their very presence cuts down on the subway's natural reverb—the emptier the station, the richer the sound.)
