  • Lovely video but please upload it without the music (nice as it is) and just the sound of the straight 6, it was lovely at the start and end of the video !

  • OH MY GOSH! This is my dream car. *sigh. love it. :)

  • does these's car's have power steering?

  • :42 > What The?! Another Austin Healey!

  • Great Video I love the music , I own an Austin Healey 3000 myself very unique car .

  • Beautifull car, Im looking to buy one myself.... but man you caught a speed bump from hell on one road and where are you driving cause I noticed there just so happened to be 2 other Austin Healeys and a crap ton of high end cars in the same area as well as what looks like a honda oddyesy

  • Great ride, nice video. Thanks for posting.

  • why did you add music..man you ruined the video

  • Mirrors!! Amazing!

  • i've never been interested in cars until yesterday when i went to a couple of car dealers to look at some classic cars and there was this red austin healey 3000 for £26,000 and both me and my dad wanted it but it was unfortunately sold

  • iu found one of these cars in a shack. i donno if the owner still is alive... im going to look into it.

  • Liked the video, loved the car and also the background music is good. As a result I went looking for this artist on the net and have been listening to her music. Thanks for posting this video.

  • This is a dream

  • What a sexy & great sounding car!

  • Super chocolate pushing gay video. Lets get rid of the limp wristed twink soundtrack and focus on the sound of one of the top ten best sounding engines of all funking time douche bag. Here'e an idea too. . . "Would it kill you to punch it once over the 3000 RPM on your reenactment of "Driving Miss Daisy?"

  • One of these speed bumps caught you out!

  • I have always loved Austin Healeys, the 100 to the 3000. Wonderful condition. I like like your colors, but chocolate and cream may be my favorite.

Nice that you even had a sunny day in the Netherlands for your fine video production.

  • I love this car, and particulary his steering wheel ! Well, my father make fifty of its by year in france, with an artisanal method. Motolita and lecarra ! An other quality than nardy !!!

  • Hey nice video. Were restoring a 66 BJ8. Were looking for a guy to do good paint work. Can you recommend anyone?

  • nice clean cut car nice styling

  • nice city also, isn´t that punta del este?

  • Wow... what an amazing 3000, beautifuly restored Mate, I am drooling, the grunt of the engine, boy oh boy, really a nice car. Thanks for making this little video, if you plan to do a nother one.... I can help you with the driving, LOL.

I am restoring a 78MGB, if turns out half as nice as yours, I'll be happy.

    Greetings from Mexico.

  • Too funny. I donm't want to hear that countyr crap music ( or what ever it is ). The Healey exhaust is the real music.

  • You are a showoff but thats cool, you lucky bast fellar.I live in Grafton NSW. and there are quite a few Healeys in this town.

  • i wanna hear that engine more

  • Comment removed

  • very nice car

  • had to turn the music off, was too annoying but still a great video!

  • Geweldige video, mooie auto! Ik heb een video bijgevoegd van een Austin Healey 100-4 M!

  • Thanks for the ride, it was lovely. I'm a bit envious now, tho. Beauty and performance makes them hard to resist. Loved the sound of the engine. '67 seems like the best year? synchro? disc brakes? nice video, again, thanx

  • nederland :D this car isn't that faster compared to modern cars. but its so much more fun to drive. even it doesn't look fast it sounds and feels so amazing.

    and nice vid

  • I started out wth a black Triumph TR--3 which I had for 4 years, then I got a new 1967 Austin Healey MK-3-- it was in a small accident (rear ended) I could never match the English racing green paint -it was sold after 1 and half years.. A nice car.

  • Wonderful engine sound, I'm Nineteen but love older cars.

My first car is a 1967 Wolseley Hornet Mk.III, just as soon as I get it working.

    Very enjoyable video.

  • I hate when people play music to this car videos. I'd rather hear that engine.

  • Very nicely done !

  • Dit is de weg die ik altijd rijd :D super om te zien

    Zeker met een Austin Healey

  • Thats how you drive a Healey. Serieos face (Sorry About spelling) and hand on the wheel and other hand on the gears.

  • I bought a Healy 3000 new and had it 2 years. It was English racing green and was a nice car. It got hit with small body damage but I could never get the paint to match up.

  • That's a beautiful BJ8. I bought a BRGreen 67 with 97,000 miles on it and got several years of pure Healey enjoyment out of her before selling her to a company that shipped her to Belgium. Wish I had that one back. Nothing sounds as good as the exhaust from that straight 6. Had more fun with that car than a 67 XK-E drophead that I owned at the same time.

  • its TAKE A TRIP , not make a trip you frenchie

  • who cares, he is dutch if you look at the license plate dumbass. nice car my dad has a MK2 Sprite and those are the most awsome cars ever... love those old ones

  • I wish people wouldn't put music to these types of videos. I'd much rather listen to the car.

  • I agree!!!

  • well,i had a nice looking 1967 Healy but my father sold it before i came back from Vietnam, nothing,i am broke now and i wish i had enough money to buy one today, probably in my next life,ha!

  • I am 77 years old and I bought a 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MK111 BRAND NEW in 1967 for $3800.00. It was extremely fast flat out, and had an electric OD on the top 3 gears of 4 that was activated in an out by the first toggle switch on the dash (facia,) that I noticed the driver did not use. What did he think the OD was on the top three for? I used it all the time in all 3 gears.

The Healey was like a beautiful women, great to show off in public, but wait till she got you the hell home. lol

  • @Imjin57 Overdrive only works in 3rd and 4th.

  • heey

    volgens mij ben je nederlands.

geweldig filmpje..ik ben zelf ook bezig met het restaureren van mijn austin healey 3000 mk2 a ..

jou healey ziet er goed uit......

ga door met het maken van dit soort filmpjes.

  • no music! i wanna hear engine :D

  • I agree. How can you have a car that sounds like that and listen to music?

  • Nice video. Who is the artist playing and whats the name of the tune?

  • "This is the life" by Amy McDonald.

  • This is the life, Amy McDonald

  • Thanks to you both :-) Just bought an album with her.

  • aww man just discovered this car tonight. bad ass. my foreman owns one so he says. how much these things go for?

  • What a beauty! I wonder if the AH3000 would cope with the 'pot holed' roads of Ireland? I was thinking about a Sprite but not now!

  • @chubchubchubber

    LOL,

The 3000 only had six inches of ground clearance and you could not drive down country roads without fear of leaving one of your mufflers behind

  • I would love to have a Healey, I started out at 17 in an MGB, now at 22 I've been a packrat picking up all the old brit cars I could afford, I now have 2 MGA's, an MGB, a 51 TD, a '56 TR3, and a '65 TR4A

  • Sell the lot and buy your dream! You can do it!

  • Im 21 and my grand dad gave me his 3000 mk3. Never even dreamed of driving one as my first car...

  • Ha, I bought my first Healey also at 21, but at that time they were a lot cheaper :-)

  • lucky you. I wish if i was born a little earlier. Wasn't the 3000 considered a luxury roadster back in the day too? Well, the car my granddad gave me is the same colour as yours. I'd be happy if i never buy a car again in my life.

  • @XKDHC

Is it very tight fitting inside that car? I have been looking to buy one but have not yet had the chance to drive one. The problem is i am 6 foot, 240 lbs and this car looks like it could be quite difficult to squeeze inside of haha

  • great car and video thanks for posting

  • everyone is talking about older men having an AH, but I'm an "older woman" (I'm just 45) who likes to own one.... I guess young people want fast cars and can't afford an oldtimer...

  • I'm young and I want that car too, I actually like all cars, any car can become a beauty. I also respect older people because they have more experience that us youngsters.

  • I'm 22 and would very much like an AH or similar old-timer.

  • older cars and older woman now theres a thought. Im 47, I don;t think 45 as older lol. Although I don;t have AH, I do have a MGC Downton conversion and 1971 Audi 100 Coupe S, one of two in the US. Just perfer the older more refine, experienced type, I mean cars

  • The only reason an "older man" either owns one or drives one is because he can afford it. The car istself is timeless. If I had the the cash, I'd own one. The AH ranks up there with the Jag E type. Lovely car!

  • don't need to be "older" for this jewel of a car love the healey's beautiful.

  • Owned or own Austin Healey's, and they all were middle aged to old men in their early forties or older. It's like the older mans vehicle of choice. I've seen a few movies were the older gentlemen in the movie either owns or is driving a Healey.

  • I love Austin Healeys. When I was 8 my dad had a BRG 3000 MK3. I would love to own one, but I'm not old enough yet. I'm only 30. I think there is an age limit as to how old you have to be to own a Healey. I think it goes something like " You must be at least 48 or older to own this vehicle." Ownership of a Healey by any person under the age of 40 is strictly prohibited. Now before I get a lot of heat about my comment, I like to point out that I've known 5 people in my life time that have.

  • I'm 27 and I want to own an Austin Healey. I don't want to wait until I'm 48.

  • I was making a semi serious joke. If you can find one go for it. I just thought that is was funny how older men usually drive Healeys, MGAs, E type Jags, and other cars that are out of reach for many of us.

  • I agree. But I will still have one by the time I'm 30.

  • I'm 18 and drive an MGB!

  • Ein hervorragendes Video über ein fantastisches Auto. Superaufwändig und toll zusammengeschnitten!

  • In my youth, I owned a 1960 (with the rare optional factory hard top) and 1966 3000. Your video has given me the warm and fuzzies. Thank you very much for bringing back great memories! Also, the music is perfect.

What I wouldn't give to have a little more hair, a little less weight and that I966 ice blue metallic Healey on a crisp fall day one more time.

  • Coś pięknego, klasa sama w sobie... Moje małe marzenie :)

  • that is great... good for you Mr. that is what life it's all about

    congratulations

  • I had a '65 when I was seventeen and I drove it like an animal. A friend once told me I was the only one he knew that had sideways wear marks on the rear tires.

  • Great video and I really like the song . I drive my 65 3000 like you are driving yours and there is something most people don't understand about the experience of the winding road and the enjoyment we get from the drive. What I get from your video is when you turn the key and the song plays it's PURE FREEDOM I call it living the dream Thanks for the video

  • Hello XKDHC,

I enjoyed watching your video. Your Healey is in pristine conditon. Your choice of music, roads and camera view points are very nice. Nice touch to see two Healey drivers waving at each other.

I have recently finished my 4 yr restoration of my 64. I am new at making videos and posting them here. My next video will also be a ride in a Healey.

Very nice video. One of the best Healey videos I've seen.

    Cheers,

    Roger

  • Thanks for the nice comments. And yes, the other Healey in the beginning of the video was a total coincidence! Will be waiting for your videao, we need more of that on Yutube.

    Rob

  • Hi Roger,

The camera is a Canon HG10 (HD 16:9). I am extremely pleased with this cam, on a HD tv screen the videos look like moving photos. I believe now you better buy the HF10 which has flash memory instead of a hard disk inside.

Don't gorget a tripod, very important!

    Good luck!

    Rob

  • what a great video. Austin Healey 3000. What a car.

  • This is a great car. My dad is working on his in the garage.

  • Very nice movie, nice music (what is it ?). In fact, I'm rebuilding a 1965 A-H that is too "old english white" and "ice blue". Your is making a really nice sound. I almost regret that we can't here it more !

  • Hi Jch,

The music is from Amy MacDonald: "This is the life." Good luck with your Healey, keep me posted!

  • Wow,

Very nice car, and nice vid aswell. I just seen an Austin Healey for the first time at a car show last week... I feel in love with the body lines and the whole car. Ive been searching around to see how much these cars can be had for... needless to say, I guess Ill have to admire from afar, lol.... maybe Ill be able to afford one Some day...
