I just had to read "hills like white eleplants" by Ernest Hemingway for my english composition II class ... and i didn't get the story at first ... so after googling it it seems to be about a couple planning on getting an abortion. Im positive that story is where they got the name for this song but i see no connection from the lyrics to anything from the short story.
