Hello, thank you for the video. I wish more airlines would share these kinds of events on youtube we really appreciate it.

May I ask one thing: why the long range 200 series of the a330? As far as I understand it the longer 300 series would take more passengers and luggage at the expense of range that you don't need. Have I got my numbers wrong or?

27 Airbus 330 200 will be delivered to Hawaiian between 2010 and 2014. The airline also have an adittional 5 options of this type.

In adittion

6 Airbus 350 800 will be delivered to Hawaiian between 2017 and 2020. They have an adittional 6 options of this type.

The A330-200 operation will share the LAX route with our 767s. Customers flying on the Airbus will experience a state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system.

Thank you for your comment. :) We love our Boeing fleet and are looking for aircrafts with fuel efficiency in mind, those which carry more passengers (with added leg room and larger seats) and additional cargo. We're excited to welcome our newest aircraft.

Why airbus? Why not 787's? This is just from a fellow passenger flying Hawaiian airlines about 6 times to Hawaii with=in a decade.

@wowdude999 Because the A330 can carry a lot more than the outdated 767 while saving fuel.

@wowdude999 No 787's available and for the relative future there is no need for them to get 787's, 332's and blended wing 763's fit's their current and future needs perfectly. Why bite off more than you can chew! Now if they were to expand beyond the Pacific rim and Europe i can see them going for an aircraft like the 787 or more likely an A350 varient if they like the 332 and i think they/ we all will!

@wowdude999 ... wich is? a good thing. because there will be enough american owned 787's.. a bit a variety is a good thing.. and hmm.. im sure they ordered it looking at their needs. and definetly looked at the 787.. but it isnt what they look for.
