he seemed so much taller and a bit wider than a year before. His face seemed to have been stretched a little bit. Then it would continue on changing throughout the 70s. Obviously, the change is more evident in the 70s. Well I just have been noticing it. It's seems like it's easy to tell the year Elvis is at just by looking at his face. Just wanted to share:)

Then by 68, when you see him in 'Live a Little Love a Little ' , you could see his face shrunk and his hair looked better and he also started to grow his sideburns. By 1970, all the prescription drugs, the doctors gave him, were starting to take their toll. From 1970 to his death, he (Elvis) suffered a steady and drastic decline in his health, looks and his live performances.

@EbonyBunny1 You need to read books and stop pulling shit out of your ass. Elvis didnt get heavy into dope until 1973 after his divorce. In fact many of his friends talked about how little Elvis' drug intake was during his first couple of seasons in Las Vegas... the video show here being one of them. If you werent so ignorant and actually watched the movie Thats the Way It Is you would see why Elvis looks like this. It was because he was working his ass off throughout the concert.

@EbonyBunny1 It was a 2 hour show and from the opening number Thats All Right Momma, Elvis was all over the stage doing his thing and making people in the audience go crazy. Oh yea, he was tired too. This was his second show in a day. To accomodate ticket frenzy Elvis usually did two shows a day in Vegas.... a matinee show in the afternoon and an evening show about 3 hours later. This is the evening show. I am sure he was pretty exhausted. At the start of the concert he looks great.

@Phillysoc No one is a bigger fan of Elvis than I am, but the truth is he started taking drugs in the army, prescription drugs, although many accounts show he experimented with street drugs also, in mid 60's. I blame his so called friends and especially his doctors. But you would have to be blind not to see after his 1968 comeback he went downhill.

@EbonyBunny1 Elvis did start taking drugs in the Army. Yet compared to others in the 1960s Elvis drug intake was occasional and pretty light. Many people associate his weight which always flunctuated in the 1960's and 1970s with his drug intake which is not true. He just ate horribly, thats why his weight bounced. If you did watch the entire TTWII movie from 1970 you would see that he looked about as good as he did during the Singer Special. He just had a different look. It wasnt the dope.

@EbonyBunny1 I am not sure what made you associate his looks at this period in his life to what he was using. It makes no sense. Throughout TTWII Elvis looks healthy and cheerfull. It was a good period in his life. He was musically energized in that his career was at its zenith again. I dont think you have even seen the entire TTWII movie. I doubt you are an Elvis fan because if you were you wouldnt make these stupid comments. 1977 CBS Special? Yea he looks horrible. Here? No way.

I have every 1 of his 700+ recordings, every released out take, every version of every song he sang, I've been to his house twice, I have every one of his movies, 3 different version of the 68 Comeback Special, I have his pictures in my house. I'm not sure what TTWII is, I think you mean That's the Way it Was. But I'm not blind to the fact, by 1970 the drugs got to him.

What part of this is hard to get through YOUR FUCKING HEAD? I have read many books on Elvis and all claim that his drug intake up until 1973 was relatively mild at best.
