I enjoyed this. FF9 is a game that gets abused to death by many dubbers and I've only seen one I really like. This however was...i liked it. If you know me you know I am hyper critical of everything and you know what I really liked this. You did a 58 second clip that was better than more than half the crap that I see out there by "experienced" people. So you should really be proud of this!
Oh gosh I think the delivery of your lines is done so much better than mine in the video that I did ages ago hahaha ^_^; I think your voice is absolutely lovely! It's so sweet. And honestly, I think the music levels are just fine. At least, that's how I'm used to hearing the music in video games that have voiceovers, so I think the volume is good.
Oh and you shouldn't be afraid to try something as weird as the old lady XD
Haha, all the dubs mentioned in your info and you didn't mention mine?
I gotta say, for a first time dub, your Garnet is impressive. I agree with SlyKitsune that your music is a little loud, and I do kind of wish you'd kept the rest of the scene in with the oglop and such.
You have the naivete for Garnet, and the softspoken qualities of her down. I definitely think you should try more (and don't be afraid to do voices like the old lady, it helps you learn!)
I've only recently scouted through the FF9 voice-overs in YouTube, you see. I left out lnicol1990's dubs, too, due to late discovery. D: Though I did come across your latest video just yesterday! I remember thinking that it was really good.
I'll try my best to incorporate what you've said in my next video. Thanks so much for your time--I really need comments like this early on. ♥
Ooh~ That was really GREAT for a first time dub! Only thing to consider tweaking is the volume of the background music. I really think you should make more, you have a lovely voice! ^.^-b
You're very welcome! And hmm, I'd say a little bit lower because-and this is just my opinion-when I listen to a dub I'm intently focusing on the voice(s) and the bg noise/music shouldn't be too overpowering, especially for someone with a nice soft voice like yours. But volume levels can be easily adjusted so it's nothing to worry about. :)

Thank you--that means a lot! I'm used to the same volume levels as well, so I thought it was just me. Apparently not though! :D
Hahha, I'll definitely try that out some time! It's just that whenever I try to make up different voices, I end up sounding the same. =_=

Hey, no worries! Glad to help! I'm just an utter FF9-phile, so I like to look through fandubs and such.
That being said, if you have any questions about anything, I'd be happy to help!

Hahha, same here. I love the game to bits, so I know the feeling of having to get a dose of it somehow.
Thanks! It's always nice to see committed FF9 fans, especially since it's been around for so long. :D

Thanks so much for the compliment! ♥
Should I make the background music louder or softer, though?
