@LayZMr Its generation between octavia and fabia, former Rapid which disappeared about 25 years ago. But new Octavia will have same looks like this, but will be bigger. This will be sold as Rapid (there will be 2 Rapids, one is for Indian market - looks like fabia and was launched already; and the other for Europe market will have looks of this MissionL).
Many Skodas are based on older VW or Audi models (for instance the Octavia often is a A4 with a nother badge and some minor design changes)
This car here really looks new and appealing.
I drive most of the time in the city so this car wouldn't be anything for me but Skoada would bring out a car in a simelar design golf or polo sized, I really might consider it to be my next car.
Jack Rix says "a brand new logo... for first start"... Its wrong... that logo already been used in years 1925-1995. That green logo on silver field around black circle with silver inscription is from 1995 until this day... That brand new logo from vid is old-new retro. And i say thank god for this, because the logo of which the designers were thinking, looks like a hedgehog foiled. I would make link to the picture, but youtube does not allow. sorry
The Yeti is extremely close to the concept car, so was the Roomster, so I can't see the new Vision D production model being much different from the concept seen here. Lets hope VW don't nick the design like they did with the Joyster concept and badged it Scirocco, or Bentley did with the Skoda Tudor and badged it Continental.
@skorob2010 The Joyster looks nothing like the Scirocco and was disgnned by VWs chief of design Walta de Silva. The Bentley Continental is the big brother of the VW Phaeton it has the same VW engine and was even originally meant to made in the same factory in Leipzig Germany.
A Luxury Skoda btw would surely flop in the market (outside of the chech repuplic where Skoda has a marketshare of 44%) as much as as if not even more then the Phaeton did.
It looks great, but the problem is that these concepts never make serial production. For example, the front is a public/press reaction test for a Superb or Octavia facelift, in my opinion. I'd love to see the new model have as many good characteristics from this model, as they can take.

Nothin' really surprising about the "new design" way of Škoda. I think it's already too minimalistic and simple. Totally boring and un-imaginative.

Skoda Vision D is more like the Citroen C4.
Too bad because I like Skoda in particular the current Octavia3 and Superb. This in Geneva is a step backwards...

i wouldn't mind seeing skodas here in the states. it would probably help VW group get their massive sales numbers too.

If skoda would really adopt this new way of design, I will definetely change my attitude towards this car maker. Great concept!

you can definitely see the VW characteristics coming out. Those back lights even resemble older audi's. I like it.

Skoda should be more funky and less German stylistically. Who wouldn't want a more original styling with VW levels of refinement?
