i first heard this song on tv watching glasonbury. i thought it was really cool. but i forgot the name of the band and could only remember the name of this song. i then spent the next 3 months trying to find them. then the other night my mate found them for me in 30 seconds. and now i have listened to this song about 30 times in 2 days.

Foals are much more inspired my minimalism than Battles. They both draw elements from math rock, but they're both totally different bands.

I have seen both live. Battles are good, but do not generate the same atmosphere as Foals (glastonbury is a poor example of course). M&A were shit.

I dunno, i think i just overall prefer the music. the foals are just not mathy enough to me, they're fantastic musicians though.
