For me, Jericho's talents lay in his wrestling and not his promo work as he usually comes across as forced, generic and unnatural. When Jericho talks, it's like he tries too hard. I think it's also because I believe Jericho comes across as a natural face than a heel.

As far as Rock & Jericho, maybe Jericho could go word for word with the Rock better than Piper could have, (we'll never know for sure tho, since Piper didn't have a chance to) but Jericho & Rock have similar styles, with tons of charisma, which made their promos 2gether interesting. Piper also had charisma but also had intenstity & improvisational skills on the mic, something Jericho lacks

well his promos are still great as ever. if you do notice very closely, he still brings in his elements of his past heels incarnations into his promos, although not as obvious. back then, people couldn't take him seriously is mostly because of his promos, but now, he's way more focused and he's much more serious about being on the top and it's great that he's getting his proper recognition for it.
