  • As north America's only marshland, their body temp is too low to pick up rabies and they are immune to many venomous bugs and snakes which they eat, making them Very beneficial outside to you,. They are in many ways an excellent house pet. You can housebreaking them as well as train them to like bathing.

  • what does she do? i dont get the point of domesticating them.. like does she sit in your lap, or play with somethin or just waddle around?

  • @Bevinelise Most domesticated possums are rescued babies, and they are very high-maintenance creatures. Possums are short-lived and tend to develop health problems in captivity, but sometimes there's no other option. They are delightful, though.

  • My parents set up a humane trap to catch and relocate an armadillo that was digging under their house...and suprise! When they checked it the next day there was an opossum inside! My mother's Asian and she'd never seen one before, but she couldn't stop going on about how cute it was! LOL
