Your bike looks sweet!! I like the Skull and Crossbones, but blackout would look nice too. How is the power on the 883 (acceleration, top end, etc.).? I have a lot of friends that want to get into a Harley and always ask me about the Sportsters, I own a Dyna and have never rode a Sportster b4. Are you happy with the power?
@dsap1990 when I had my sportster I was 5'11" and weighed 190. It would hit 100 no problem and quick too. There's a video on my page of it, now I have street bob and it's way more comfortable than the sportster. But man did I love that bike.
I got my Iron 2010 and install SE street perf.exhaust and hypercharger.... Just confusing about the shock. Dealer advising not to go for progressive 412 - 11 1/2'' or 440-11'' that it cause dramatically reducing the clearance...What shocks do u fix???

Don't worry you'll be fine . I ordered a different seat it sits you closer to the gas tank. I ended up not using it . As I am 181 cm . Too close for me. If u buy bike I can sell u the seat for 50$ us plus shipping. It's in a box right now. You should be fine with the stock seat . Take care !

@sincityryder - Some dealers will go into the ECU and lower it down to 850 RPM at the lowest, as that's what HD says is safe for the engine (at least for my Twin Cam). You can go lower. 800 RPM sounds really good, but so does 850. You can also get the ThunderMax ECU and have full control of your engine.
@sincityryder Ohwell. That's why I bought the ThunderMax. I had taken my bike to Germany for a Europe trip and the shop there lowered it to 850. It was much quieter at idle and sounded awesome. I asked why they did it and they said it's safe there. Well, then I came back to the states and got lectured by my dealership for not having the idle at 1,000 RPM. Few days later I put in a new ECU to be able to handle it all myself. Maybe the bike won't last as long. I want it to run my way! :)
Do you have to be over 55 years old to ride one of these things. Most of you guys are older than shit that ride Harley. I'm not old yet, and don't want to be associated with old grandpas. Don't hate: just an opinion from a future motorcycle buyer.
@sincityryder take off the air filter box, in the lower right hand corner of the throttle body there is a Torx screw that controls how open the butterfly valve is at idle, loosen the screw and see what happens
883 not enough feels strained . but 1200 is ok.

Idle could be 200rpms lower it'll get back down to a smooth idle quicker and won't be as bubble on idle
