  • Ty,

Please quit talking about these amplifiers.

Wow everyone with your stellar playing which kicks hardcore ass!

  • Ty Tabor is God!!!!!!! He would never agree with that comment but he IS an incredible guitar player! Kings X forever!!!!!

  • it seems that the better the player, the more simple the set-up..which can only mean one thing,,practice biotches,,lol

  • if all the underrated artists were well known, .... I would know too many guitarists ...

  • One of the 3 best guitar players of all time! George Benson, Larry Carlton, Ty Tabor!

  • man I was never that good even without that smoking gear

  • if you keep looking at the fingerboard you'll see nice ripples : )

  • when is guitar world going to put him on the cover and give him a legendary feature story. How many people has he inspired that they have put on the cover. ALOT. He is past due

  • Looks like john lennon

  • @td7474 And sounds like him, too... :)

  • @djdyabloynferno fuck you.... you can't play as good as him

  • great.....

    thanks for sharing....

  • Pearl, Mississippi,Y'all!

  • His tone on the "Gretchen Goes to Nebraska" album is still the best ever.

  • @governorgilf,

    Amen!

  • @governorgilf His tones gets better and better over the years in my opinion, his tone now sounds the best in my opinion.

  • a design of pedal board is ripping off from Boss i think.

  • @megashadow998 its a Behringer midi controller

  • I think that much like people that have sensory limitations, bands that have less members force the existing ones to make more music and ultimately their musicianship grows exponentially faster and larger than bands with more limited roles. King's X is an example of this that falls in line with Rush, Primus, White Stripes, etc. What a beautiful thick tone Ty brought to guitar playing in a time when squealy, high pitch was the norm. Thanks for posting.

  • what tune is that at the start ?

  • Looks like you got an upgrade since i last saw you. lol mind mind goes to watching that movie, Kramer vs Kramer. the theme came on and you picked your Guitar up and i remember chills going up me. i was kinda in Awww.

have been watching your videos and still kinda in Awww.

its so nice to see you all again. to watch you play.

  • OMG---that was a Randall......

  • haha @ 3:03 the guitar almost whacks him. i love ty. play dang it, play! what a tease, sitting there and not playing for us!

  • Love Ty Tabor. KingsX rules! I watched this Band at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis. Still one of the best shows Ive ever seen. No bullshit involved, just melt your face Rock and roll!

  • Still using the old midiverb 2! Rockman.. Thumbs up!

  • I like those P-rails on his guitars....same pickup as my guitar.

  • really, and free for you. but dont get me wrong, you have the best tones. must be good!

    Greg from austin

  • I have the Egnater Renegade, a 2 channel head, with both 6L6 and EL34 tubes, which you can assign to either channel, or blend together. You can also do the tube biasing like Ty demonstrates here. It's a great head, and good value for money too.

  • One of my favorites!

  • Ty is a Class Act. Real great guy and one hell of a fucking guitarist!!

    Kings X all day!!

  • Smashing sound....

  • Actually, it is required for Ty to cover all his tone bases, especially King's X has been recording and performing since the late 1980s. "Dogman" style tones are great for that era of the band, but might not fit for "Gretchen" or "Faith Hope Love". If you're a player, and been playing a while, you know how much has changed since the hair band days.

It's a tonal time machine, if you will. And for Ty, it is a requirement.

  • he's aged really well.

  • his is born the same day as me. 17 september ! YEAH

  • Happy Birthday

  • One of the most under rated guitarist ever!

What a killer rig all the options and tones.

Love Kings X they have one hell of a fan here.

Great tone...and as any guitar player will tell u

    Tone is everything!

  • @PaulP1972 Agreed- under-spoken, under-rated, under-valued. Kinda sums up the whole band....

  • @PaulP1972 i read an interview years ago where he said that when everyone heard eddie van halens tone they wanted to copy it.whereas ty decided to just get his own sound. youre absolutely right. underrated and a total tone chaser!!!

  • My guitar is wired exactly like this. two dbl coils split for series, parallel and single with a toggle switch to get bridge, both or neck only. But I don't have the amps and stuff. :(

  • One of the finest men in music today. Ty has a real UN-rock star attitude. He's the real deal, folks. And a monster player to boot!!

  • is that really Ty Tabor??!! Strat Elite and Gibson Lab Series amps - Over My Head!! yeah baby!

  • Ty looks like Weird Al here.

  • LOL!

  • two different types of power tubes in one unit is very sweeet indeed

  • King's X is the best band of all time. I just wish that they would come back here to central florida! Missing them on a tour is a awful feeling.

  • King's X is my all time favorite band. Ty is my all time favorite player. So much so that I had him master my solo cd. I wanna hear the Strat Elite tone again though. Anyone with me?

  • saw King's X in Charlotte NC last night; awesome show as always, boys! Ty's sound was awesome, as usual.

  • Saw them here in Fayetteville Saturday. What a show.

  • I was there! Incredible show!

  • Ty's sound is always awesome!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • It's cool to see a more in-depth look at Ty's setup. The Egnater/Randall module series is incredible and every player should check it out! BTW, that's a Rockman Sustainor and Stereo Chorus Ty has in the rack (but he didn't mention them). :-)

    Thanks for posting this!

  • Thanks for posting this informative clip - and TY Tabor is an Awesome guitarist.

  • Many thanks for putting this up! I can't wait to see the band in September. They always put on a great show.

  • You seeing them in Marietta, GA on the 21st? I'll be there. Will be my 7th or 8th time seeing them and I still cannot wait to see them again.

  • Yep, I am seeing them on the 21st......but in September in Cleveland with Porcupine Tree. My dream show. =:^)
