I tried a brand new in sealed box V1 3.893 for about a week, had it on tall L and still gave a lot of false alerts in city. The final straw was when I was on the interstate, pitch black, late night, and was getting laser alerts. No cop I could see for miles.
Just my 2 cents...The V1, Redline & STI are fine RDs. The V1 looks like it's facing down to the ground instead of horizontal. That may explain it's delayed response to the oncoming Ka. Do you know what version your V1 is? Do you like the Redline,STI or V1 overall as far as sensitivity?
@R32Viper Stealing money? Thats one of the dumbest comments I ever read... They can save you thousands in speeding tickets.. Thousands in Insurance increases....How about the aggravation they save you?
@NASIMNASIM Agree with you that can save you money, but if you buy a cheaper radar is going to do the same than the top of the line. Maybe it picks it up a little bit quicker, not much of a difference. Now those beltronics, Valentine, Escort detectors are always high. Even when the new one is out they old ones are keeping their price tags. In my opinion these company are bending over all those who buy them at the retail price. Plus if you are a smart driver, u will never have problem with T law
@R32Viper Couldn't disagree with you more...I used to have a cobra radar detector, It was a piece of junk. I now have a Valantine1 and its a world of difference. Its like saying a Ferrari and a Chevy do the same thing, get you from one place to another, so Ferrari is overcharging.
if i saw a guy driving next to me with 4 radar detectors, id say he either doesnt wana get a ticket really bad or hes a fellen (or how you spell that)

the belscorts are amazing on forward facing radar. The V1 is a little short side on forward facing. At least here.

wish the Redline would have the arrows like the Valentine...if that were the case it would only be more amazing that it already is!
