All this stuff about it being barbaric is rather BS... The bulls get to sit around all day, then they go in the ring for ten seconds, kick some guy's ass and they're done for the day. Good rodeo stock is valuable, so any decent contractor treats his bulls well. Good cowboys also have a lot of respect for the animals. Ty Cobb, for example, adopted a number of retired bulls and horses. Funny how people call Americans barbaric—in Spain and Mexico, they make a sport out of killing bulls!
