  • @4Qha Gandalf doesn't wear glasses :)

  • This video is a favorite on Ottawa

  • I tryed to learn this song on my guitar, untill i arrived to the first mini-solo.

The day after, my fingers weren't there.

  • steve lukather is fucking awsome !!!!!

  • This is the best ToTo concert i have seen! And I have seen many!

  • Leland Sklar is amazing

  • 2:23 ROCK ON!

  • bobby kimball , is one of the greatest singers out there!!!

  • jú is toto????

  • Steve Lukather....underrated.

  • UNREAL!!!!

  • is there anything better than this..?

    A M A Z I N G ..!!

  • ...and to all of you people who think that "auto-tune" is the reason this song sounds good, or the reason bands use it, in general.....think again. Auto tune is nothing more than "reverb" or "chorus" or any other effect. It doesn't magically make you sound better. Auto tune doesn't literally put you in tune with another live instrument. It doesn't correct a drum beat. Look up the actual usage before you type silly statements and disrespect to the members who work hard to create this music.

  • @thisischavez Im sorry to burst you bubble, but Antares has a standalone rack version of Autotune. Bobby Kimball won't need it though, lol.

  • @thisischavez this aimed at my comment below?

  • @thisischavez Auto-Tune is a proprietary[2] audio processor created by Antares Audio Technologies. Auto-Tune uses a phase vocoder[citation needed] to correct pitch in vocal and instrumental performances. It is used to disguise off-key inaccuracies and mistakes, and has allowed singers to perform apparently perfectly tuned vocal tracks without needing to sing in tune. Definition of Autotune.

  • @drumDan4. The point I was unsuccessfully trying to make is that autotune cannot fix all problems for singers. If you are tone deaf and are singing A-C-E instad of B-D-F, autotune is not gonna help you. Autotune has a memory that stores recent note values and if there is a fluctuation in a certain value within the storage it can repair that. It cannot make someone who doesn't sing in key magically sound good. That was the point I was trying to make.

  • @thisischavez It can also make people that sing notes very out of tune to sing the wrong notes as well.

  • One thousand thumbs up!!!!!!!!!

  • the only reason i haven't lost respect for this band for using auto-tune, is because they are amazing musicians and fucking legends!

  • what i would not give to be the foh engineer this is an amazing mix

  • Saudades do Mike Porcaro!!

  • O Bobby Kimball é demais!! Canta Muito!!

  • what a great song…

  • when you have instrumental technic you can play everything, metal, progressive, pop, rock ... it's all depends on your taste.

  • I was at this show in Paris, believe me- It is being played here "EXACTLY as it was there" I flew to Paris from teh States just to see this show. It was that good....Bottom Line!

  • Bobby Kimball is 60 age in this show...wow!

  • 10 people is falling in between

  • Awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome

  • What the hell is that for a name? Toto...............wtf

  • a different Toto... but good

    Bobby still got the pipes

  • Definitely not play back. Saw them live in Denmark recently. @Wonko19: So true.

  • the guitar parts are too well played to be true. I'm not convinced it's not playback

  • @Shredsomemore What you have to realize is that Toto is a band made up of the greatest session musicians who ever lived. Everything they ever do is perfect. You don't get to join the band without being the greatest that is possible. If it were any other band, I wouldn't think it was real either.

  • @Shredsomemore Dude, do you really think they let thousands of people come to their show and then decide to do a play back?!

  • @SimonBak90 - You are obviously not a musician otherwise you can see that there is NO playback going on here....all you have to do is watch the hands of all the players, the drummer, keyboards....but most of all just listening to the vocals and watching the mouths of the singers as they sing, it is 1000% totally live.

These guys are so good, they can play anything from the simplest to the most difficult runs imaginable. It's LIVE baby, LIVE - LIVE - LIVE!!!!!

  • @yur1bgw9i Did you actually read my comment?

  • @SimonBak90 The audience may be hearing what Luke is playing but what we hear is too damn perfect to be true

  • @Shredsomemore Dude, it's Toto. Of course it sounds too damn perfect to be true. Have you ever been to one of their concerts? Everything you see and hear in this video is live.

  • @RockweilerTheBand

I couldn't reconize him. He sounds as good as 30 years a go!

  • STEVE LUKATHER!!!!!!!!!

  • Who's that singer?? I mean guy who only sings. He's sooo good!

  • Greg is awesome.

  • Toto, a group who's songs are mainly pop and soft rock, just kicked every single prog/hard/alternative rock groups ass out of town with this one. Is there anything these guys can't do?

  • @AndyRitchiesbestbud Not even Soft/Pop Rock. These guys are just Straight Progressive EVERYTHING. Not many people run Blues or Bebop Scales through soft/pop rock. In this particular song, the chorus melody is written within Phrygian Dominant. That only ever happens with Real Progressive Death Metal otherwise it is pursued by the brave. I couldn't possibly pin them to one genre. they incorporate everything.

  • @AndyRitchiesbestbud I love the phrygian dominant chorus

  • that off-beat at 3:00 is amazing!

  • ToTo is a latin word meaning " all encompassing" thats what the band named themselves , though in the 80's some of the band members joked with some reporters they named the band after the Wizard of Oz dog.

  • The bass guitarist isn't Getafix from Asterix and Obelix?

  • @TheBiggestFanOfMetal please no drink!

  • 10 dislikes?????.....obviously IDIOTS!

  • Lukather and whatever Toto incantation you prefer were banging these tunes out when Dream Theater were just an itch in their Daddies pants !!!

  • Not a bad opening note to hit.....Nice one Bobby !!!!

  • @BobbyKimball whats your fav toto song?

  • Whaaaat is this band???????? OMG! Dream theater clone???

  • @metalpower18 how do you even dare to say that? ¬¬ xD

  • @DarkCrazy75 lol I was really surprised by this band, never knew them though, their talented, remind me of Dream theater a lot!

  • @metalpower18 , they've been around for over 30 years ....

  • And to think I avoided this band all these years because their name was so lame.

  • @wingseclipsed Their name is everything BUT lame.

  • @magichristo yeah HAHA! their name rules! ...although toto seems to commonly be thought of as the name of a poodle or other similar feminine dog...

  • argh~.~ i scared when i saw the old man who have a long Beard XD

okay But i dont hate him :O

    kkkkkkkkk

  • This blew my mind.

  • que buena formacion es esta.

  • guitarist with green guitar gots nice jacket/coat :D also love the music :D

  • @TheGiraf2 The guitarist has a name.. Steve Lukather.

  • @DanskeSange yea, I found out his name the day i watched this video. i've known toto for quite some time, but I never knew any of the names :P

  • What the fuck ? XD

This sounds more like dream theater than toto xDDD

  • @Akhin that song is a LED Zeppelin style.. young people never seen . .

  • @lapost64

You mean THIS song has a Led ZEppelin style ?

Wow ! I'm sorry, I don't like to think of my opinions as absolutes, but this sounds nothing like led zeppelin.

  • I think Simon Phillips is one of the most musical drummers to ever walk the Earth. His drum sound is probably the best in the business. And Lukather is underrated. A student of Larry Carlton...he can play anything.

  • What a great opining to a concert! ! What year and concert is this from?

    And who is playing Gandolf???

  • @00Gladiator1 2007 , in Paris. The awesome bearded guy is Leland Sklar , bassplayer for James Taylor and Phil Collins ...

  • What is the name of Gandalf?

  • @wannabekunok

Lee Sklar is his name :)

  • Gandalf on bass and Tony Stark on guitar!! o/

  • Is that Panoramix on bass?

  • type in bobby stacks amped up and u will have a new favorite rapper

  • this is like Toto on Viagra! Rockin out!

  • One of the best concerts ever!

  • God I love this DVD..it gets played more then any other concert dvd I have and im a huge Rush, Dream Theater fan..but TOTO's muscianship ranks right up there with them..sad u.s. music sceen gave them the cold shoulder now they wont tour here..your serious you would snub these guys for the likes of crap such as Emenem and all the posers who use that stupid electro voice crap...yeah I would give the finger to the u.s. music sceen too!! TOTO ROCKS!!!

  • Oh god... my mother introduced me to this band... simply genius.

    TOTO OWNS!

  • @magichristo really, my dad introduced to it too!

  • Simon philips is the coolest, flawless drummer out there.

  • Albus Dumbledore playing on BASS!! Hell YEAH

  • ROCKKKKK sucks! :D but you are good :D

  • Bravo=

  • that awkward moment when the keyboardist tries to be a guitarist.... 2:44

  • I hate these f***in' commercials.

  • They've always had their heavier moments (like in "Hyrdra"), but here they basically cross into the territory of Dream Theater, and then do it better . . . and this is coming from a DT fan. Simon Phillips owns Portnoy in the progressive field here.

Most powerful intro to a concert, ever. And Leland Sklar looks more like Gandalf every time I see him . . .

  • @jgreen1267 I saw them @ the Ridgefield Play House in CT..Luke introduced Leland as Gandalf..Funny as hell..

  • 0:36 just blows my fucking mind

  • great song!!

  • Dynamics plus - awesome!

  • Jumpin' Jehosaphat!!!

  • Simon Philips is fucking great.

  • @Ds14n 2:59 Simon Phillips foot EVOLVES

  • @Ds14n you know what youre talking about.

  • brilliant

  • The bassist looks like Gandalf :)) noice

  • i want steve lukathers jacket!

  • what a fucking tune for a concert opening Im there

  • They're awsome

  • I just can't get over how awesome they are.

  • Is it just me, or does that one bald guy at 0:23 look like Steve Smith from Journey?

  • @SCVschlitzandgiggles man, Steve Smith now play in Vital Information ;) But, yes, he's very similar to him xD

  • Really good group!

  • Hm...Steve Lukather, Simon Philips, Leland Sklar, Tony Spinner...in one Band. Why the hell don´t they rename themselfes in "Band of Legends" or something like that? ;-)

  • @RacerX2016 Well, this could be a good idea now! But this was Toto, only Mike Porcaro

had hurt his hand and couldn´t play, and so Leland Sklar did.

  • @blackpearl961963 , i WISH Mike just "hurt" his hand ... But he is suffering from ALS,So , i'm sad to say , he will never play the bass again ...

  • @toosboos I know, but at the time of the FIB tour he really just had hurt his hand. I think they got these terrible news that Mike has ALS later...

  • @blackpearl961963 I'm pretty sure the "hand injury" was a cover up. I mean, ALS DOES start out in the joints, so yeah, it probably started out with a problem in his hand, but I think they knew there was more to it, or at least a couple of them did. He had to sit in a chair while playing in 2006, with his hand taped. That sure wasn't a good sign. Now he can't play at all, I think. Luke says he's in a wheelchair. God bless him, he seems like a genuinly good guy. Life is so unfair.

  • You got that right. Add in Greg P and you couldnt put together a more seasoned group!

  • @RacerX2016 You got that right. Add in Greg P and you couldnt put together a more seasoned group!

  • MAGNIFICO---DE LO MUSICAL UNO DE LOS MEJORES GRUPOS DE LA HISTORIA

  • Jeah! TOTO's still rooking the house after more than 30 years !!!!

Greetings to Lady Gaga and all the actual like-to-be-musicians....

  • Jeah! TOTO's still rooking the house after more than 30 years !!!!

  • Dumbledore!!! you...you came back!!! and now playing with toto! thats awesome!

  • @magafi1984 That was even better...Ha!!!

  • @magafi1984 i wish dumbledore would play bass in my band. Leland Sklar; fucking genius

  • better than the original track

  • Man they killed (not kicked) every youngster trying to ''heavy rock'' in the current era. Women get better with time. SO DOES MUSICIANS!!! and both at 30...coincidence or what?

  • What a cool song! lots of color..

  • Yeah heavy shit haha!!! :D

  • Awesome intro, classy and powerfull

and btw, agree with turtello 83

  • This is AWESOME!!! You guys RULE TOTO!!!!!

  • I REALY LOVE THE PART 0:00 - 4:12

  • You can't replace Jeff but that drummer did an awesome job and had some HUGE shoes to fill! Kudos to him!

  • 5 people going to hell

  • Surely the best ToTo album, the most powerful team, completely apocalyptic... LOVE!

  • Simon Phillips is my idol :D

  • the keyboard player is singing at 1:09

  • who's singing in 1:09 ??

  • @roosoomak that's Greg Phillinganes

  • Santa Claus is rocking to town!

  • what is the name of Santa claus on bass?

  • @pithollywood Leland Skalar- you can seem him in most Phil Collins videos. Hes an absolute monster on bass, truely amazing!!

  • @pithollywood Leland Skalar hes the master! check him out with phil collins some time- amazing!

  • @pithollywood Leland Sklar

  • The bassist looks like Father Time himself

    awesome song btw

  • WOW TOTO - Awesome performance

I want to see them live!

  • Is that Lyland Sklarz? Sorry SP

  • 2:46 Epic roll!

  • I never met Jeff P...though he was my faverit Drummer...and still is" though I was lucky enoughf to meet the band in 93 not long after Jeff passed away when we actualy suported them at the leeds town and country club when Simon Phillips "on Drums" had just joined them..

    Toto....the Musicians.....Musicians!

  • is the soloist and the guitarist brothers ? they look like each other , i dont know alot from this band just their songs

  • @SensualCoconuts07 No, the "soloist" (really just one of their lead singers) is Bobby Kimball. The lead guitarist is Steve Lukather. Definitely not brothers. In fact, if you check out the awkward body language, I'd say not even great friends. I cringe every time I see Bobby put his arm Steve during the concert. Awkard! I think Steve would rather just be left alone to play his guitar!

  • @GeoBucs .. i wonder how they work in 1 band if they dont get along well anyways :) thanks for the info bout bobby and steve ..:)

  • @GeoBucs i was thinking the same thing, im sure they get along Steve i think gets a little bit restricted from his guitar when Bobby puts his arm on his shoulder, hmm

  • @GeoBucs

LOL! a moth ago, I shared this vid to Luke watch?v=oJkMaA3QNo4 but he removed it from his facebook account. I heard Bobby and Luke had a beef

  • I was fortunate enough to see this tour when they hit Spokane and it was incredible. Having seen Toto on their "Isolation" tour and this tour as well makes me one happy music fan. And seeing Jeff Porcaro before he passed away is a memory I will always cherish.
