  • The only thing I see wrong here, He is making his strokes to short and not following the body line. He should be going from the top of the hood at the wind shield to the bottom at the grill. When you paint with a roller you have to put on at least two coats then start sanding in between coats to eliminate orange peel. Once you get enough coats on and the orange peel is at a minimal, Lightly sand it and polish it. I've seen roller paint jobs that look really good. Spraying it is better.

  • Anybody who thinks this isnt a viable way to paint a vehicle should search for the Triumph Stag CombiColour Paintjob video, which shows a very similar colour to this, UK version of the paint (still oil based) and see that it actually does work.

Care and preparation are all that is required. Anybody who spends £5000 on a paintjob when it can be done for 3% of that price is thick.

  • You dont paint your car with Rustoleum it's an OIL based paint not a solvet based paint like used in all automotive applications. You idiots. Why dont you do it instead of your wife. What a tool.

  • orange peel city!!

  • Use a sprayer takes a 10th of the time :), I used gloss black and mixed in copper fine glitter so now my car has a metallic paint job

  • quick questiondid u sand down after any cots?

  • im gona do this but with a sprayer instead of rolling

  • dude paint yourself if you are going to keep complaining

  • It looks like a face in the paint at 2:43 and it gets more clear.top left corner, it's a ghost jk but there is a face.

  • Kids always gravitate towards projects that don't involve them haha. I put my son to work when he does :)

  • this is so boring ,its like watching paint dry..............

  • you are sucky

  • ok so you were on your fourth day and u were only this far????? lol

  • would recommend the same job to be done in a closed garage with warmer ON,

You can avoid very tiny dusts sitting on the car when paint is wet due to wind or breeze.

honestly we will end is seeing dust particles on the car`after dried and you cannot do anything else later.

everything was real good, i never tried roll painting, and looks pretty easy, no need to mast the car where painting not required.

try getting spray painter for rent and can finish work much in 2 days with glossy finish

  • Is it me or does anyone see a face of a man on the reflection on the upper red part of the hood from 4:00 mins till 5:20 mins?

  • @kingoffishes saw that too. lol what in the world?

  • @kingoffishes yea. kinda creepy huh?

  • @kingoffishes omg the blood of the person hes painting with

  • @kingoffishes Thats crazy

  • it also helps if you get a foam brush and "tip" the paint the opposite direction....to eliminate brush marks and orange peel look do a 50/50 mix of paint and Penetrol

  • thak you for posting these videos very helpful

  • wow 6 days just for the hood lmaooo

  • @ASCmustang88 Yea man plus the longer its wet the more airborne trash gets in it. I dont have that much time to do this, but my dad painted a 40 ford with a brush in 1958 and a goats ass too.

  • yeah, i lightly sanded the top of my truck cause it had sun damage, gave it 4 coats of this primer putty in 1(out of the can). Then i lightly sanded the primer putty and gave it 4 coats of silver gloss from the can, it came out looking great. but im sure it wont last 4ever
