Im just 26 and he has been gone for so long. He is still my favrote singer. just had an awsome voice. and had songs that would make you think he was singing directly to you or about you.
Thanks for this! I first heard this song when I was 14, I remember the place where I heard it! I've looked for it allover and couldn't remember the title. Out of the blue, it just appeared as a link to a video on church planting.
you listen to keith whitley and you hear so much love n heart in his voice im 25 and i think if keith was around today he wuld be in the waylon jennings class but even tho he died so young i still think he will go dwn as 1 of the greatest country artists ever with eaze
I visited today, the grave of Keith Whitley. I had to as a man would do hold back the tears that started to come. I could not belive my ears when I first heard him sing. I too am from Kentucky, and like so many of us am so very proud of him. I wish he could have stayed with us a little longer, cause I feel the best was yet to come. May GOD keep you Keith in his care. And one day we will all hear you sing for him.
AWESOME! This is a beautiful song and a wonderfully put together tribute to a great country singer/entertainer who is up there singing with the angels as the song says. I miss hearing him on the radio, but thank God we have his albums and tapes.
I've had some requests from other YouTubers to post it. The beginning is in rough condition, but it's mostly intact. I may go ahead and post it just because so many have requested it, then if, in the future I get a better copy, I'll post that. Thanks for your interest, and for your comment!
The saddest song I heard on this album was Daron Norwood's recording of "Little Boy Lost." The first time I played that song, I cried so much as my twin sister comforted me in her arms. I lost a friend to a heroin overdose fifteen years ago, two years before I bought this album. What a special voice Keith Whitley had!
Great video! I have always loved Keith Whitley. This is the first time I've seen his headstone. I can't help but wonder if Lorrie will still choose to be buried beside him, or if that plan will change with her newest husband. I suppose that would be a natural decision...one that no one could really blame her for...but I still think that it would be very sad.
I think Keith would be absolutely appalled with the way things are going in country music. Keep posting music like this to remind everyone what REAL country music sounds like. Thank you for doing everyone a justice.
A beautiful area! I've been there twice in the last 5 years, and I'd love the opportunity to explore more of the local area. Thanks for the kind comment and for stopping by!
JUST BEAUTIFIL!!!

One of the best tribute songs ever...so many good artists paying tribute to the one and only Keith Whitley! RIP Keith, you will never be forgotten!

Wonderful video, thanks for taking the time to put it together. I've had this CD for years, and was a big Keith Whitley fan in the late 80's.

Thank you so much! Amazon is always a sure bet. It's a great CD. I also have the Tribute Album Radio Special. They both have the same cover art.
