I love this movie! Its now 25 years of age and nothing special compared to ST or SW but the story behind it, is sooo fu**ing awesome!!! Everbody not seeing it yet, SHOULD asap!!!

Alex Guest came out a few year later in Jaws 4 : The Revenge. The Last Starfighter has a great soundtrack. Because of this film I always hold trailer parks to a high regard. You never know there may be a Starfighter in one near you!!!!!!!!! Love my 80's!!!

The same guy that directed this is coming back to give it a re-do. His name escapes me, but i know that his movie career didn't go far when he did "The boy that could fly." I guess people didn't dig it. But, yeah, a "new" last star fighter is going to get made

Betuel wrote the new starfighter movie. Thats his credit on IMDB. I think the second movie is going to be taking place in the middle of an invasion of earth. Which in the first one was a war taking place on the frontier, preventing the Kodan armada from spreading out. WOW. I totally forgot how cool the story was!!

Its in production now for a 2010 release. Nick Castle's last movie was a straight to video titled, "Connor's war." Which was pretty cheap. So lets hope the last starfighter will get a better budget. Between this and Tron legacy, i think i am going to have a good 2010 movie year. Oh, yeah, and Iron man 2
