In this video seems that they are hitting the bar with the hips. I've been told that this is no good, the hips and the shrug from the shoulders make the bar go up but it's only a hip movement, not a hip hit.
Also, at the end, the girl in the pink (susan?) seems to be catching with her back really far forward. Is this correct technique, or should it be more upright, like at the bottom of a front squat? I'm not trying to critique, just curious to see the reason for differing form. Thanks!
@bonesawII I think it's an issue of her second pull, not her flexibility. Discus throwers are among the most flexible athletes out there in the shoulder area.
@grizz281 only reason she is catching forward is that the bar flies forward because she doesnt control it after second pulp. The bar hits the hips and usually beginners let it go away from the body , and to catch to have to either lean forward that much or jump forward.
@safty30 She still does hold the American, at 67.67. It's a far cry from the World Record of 76.80 by Gabriele Reinsch, though.
The Snatch must be tough for her, though. She's rather tall and has long levers. As for the video description, it is wrong and should probably be edited.

@grizz281 She is a little unflexable right now, with heavy weights she is going to hurt her wrists so dont mimic that leaned forward posture.
