she doesnt mention how title 9 has been responsible for closing hundreds of mens sports since its passing and how it only protects womens sports so if a sports program(s) has to be cut it has to be mens sports and not womens it also lets women participate and mens teams buy if a guy wants to participate on a girls team he cant (equal opportunity "right") feminists like this bitch want equal or perferably more women athletes than men athletes even tho boys want to play sports more 2/1 than girls

Title IX has come a long way and helped many woman achieve their goals such as going to college or playing athletics. Why should that only e a right given to men? Woman should be able to have the same oportunities. The reason men's sports most of the time make more profit than woman's sports in college is because of the same "old-fashioned" way of thinking pre-Title IX. Women are great athletes too, and for the people who do not believe this has not viewed them with an open mind.

I agree completely. Women's Sports has come a long way since Title IX. I enjoy watching womens basketball more than mens. And I'm a man! They truly play the game of basketball. Title IX has opened the door for women in the world of sports.

also the speaker is being disingenuous: true, hundreds of millions of dollars are spent on a few men's sports, however, those sports all turn a huge profit for the schools in question. Do you think a large football school spending 15-20 million on its football program is not worth it when the program brings in 40-50 million in profits from merchandising, endowments, etc etc. Title IX compares apples to oranges, and is unfair.

Title IX has been a disaster. In the name of "equality" men's sports that make PROFIT for the schools are gone in many schools (wrestling, track and field, etc) to keep the numbers balanced for women's sports that NEVER turn a profit for the school (all of them). If you're going to base it off number of school-funded athletes, fine. But sports that make profit for our increasingly underfunded schools should be exempt.

Actually, you don't have your facts in order. Men's wrestling, track & field, etc are NOT profitable sports in college.

Actually you are wrong. I've never heard of a major (double triple or single A) school who has not turned a profit on men's wrestling or track and field. In fact, if they lost money on those sports they would be REMOVED entirely, which has indeed happened in the past. If that same standard was applied to women's sports (removing sports that lose money) not a single one of them would exist.
