@nzaman333 Yeah, I know. I put the annotation up by request to warn people. It wasn't that big of a mess up, I just missed a step. I hand wrote the steps and unfortunately my handwriting sucks... and a mix of my eyes being bad I easily lose my place... so I'm glad the written instructions helped.

@ivy462 I'm not sure what you mean. You overhand knot to connect them all then you do forwards, backwards and mixed knots depending on where the string needs to go. If the strings are the same color and you join it doesn't matter what knot is made.

I usually use Burt's Bees salve or cuticle cream... but I've found another one called O'Keeffe's Working Hands Creme which works well. My hands are bad since I wash them so many times a day so moisturizing seems to help a lot.

@sbkc18 If you have a tiny wrist perhaps 55 or so... but yes it is indeed inches. You cut the strings then fold them and they become half.

@dolcevita927 Yes, you'd be able to if you understand how to work out towards the edges from the middle with a chevron. The last available string you'd have to make a fk/bk or bk/fk to make the "corner" of the diamond and then continue what you did in reverse.

For my bracelet I used:

1-black (Border of Diamonds)

2-gray (side triangles)

3-blue (diamonds)

That wasn't number of strings, that was the guide to where they are in the set up.

@maxajgro10 I'm not sure what you mean... I've been doing originals here and there. The chocolate covered strawberry was an original I uploaded about three days ago.

I have so many requests that I try to work on those as well... so I throw in mine here and there just to give something new but for the most part I try to give people what they are asking for... especially if a bunch of people request the same thing. (EX: 50+ people asked for a panda thus far and I've yet to get to it.)

@0213ella This is nearly the max of what I can comfortably do on cam without getting angry. The more strings the harder it is to keep them neat and orderly for everyone to see clearly.

You can look on friendship-bracelets(dot)net for 'diamond' patterns. Maybe you'd find a similar one. If not, maybe I can make one... but any larger than this I wouldn't be making on cam. My total max is about 16 (four more than this bracelet) before it gets too messy to really understand clearly.

@RawrrAlix3 You can make any knot you want to make as long as it will only be with those two strings. Since they are the same color it won't really matter which knot you make you will always have the same colored knot.

This was a great tutorial..I can now make this bracelet- though if you are just starting to learn how to make friendship bracelets I do not suggest starting with this, as I have been making them for a while and was still a little confused!!

This is "Intermediate" but I have a beginner playlist meant to start with. I pretty much put the patterns in order from (most easy) to (intermediate) in an order that uses the same steps but progresses them slowly.

If you use 65 centimeters you will end up with a keychain unless you decide not to fold the strings in half.

Besides, diamonds are the easiest things to make. I've made patterns much more intricate- like the octopus pattern I have posted on Friendship-Bracelets(dot)net. I made the diamond pattern when I was about 15... I'm 24 now.

@frenchhornmusician Hm, are you used to making the mixed knots? (have you made other bracelets that called for mixed knots?)

Sounds to me like you might not be pulling them enough... or you're pulling them outward instead of letting the diamond form. You could also try gently wiggling the strings upward while making the knots.

It took me many candystripes and chevrons in order to progress to diamonds so it's nice to see naturals out there who can bypass the 'easy' stuff and jump into the intermediate pool. I really want to make this one, but i wanna make it so the ends are just 2 braids.  (I dont want one end to be a loop, and the other end is 2 braids, and i already saw your tutorial) So does this mean i should use 12 individual strings that are about 30-35 inches long each?

One more fun fact, if you ever are needing to join two of the same color it can be any knot made with either string. If they're the same color they will join the same in the end. Sometimes I will make it with a backward and others a forward... just because of what I feel like doing... but in the end nothing has changed since they are identical colors. Just thought I'd throw that at you as well.

Even around Christmas people weren't buying the friendship bracelets and I was asking for about 5-10 for even the most advanced patterns I do. It's not a good market online since there is just so much competition... so I'm looking towards going in-person to craft fairs to sell my work.
