  • does anyone know who the horns are that come on for Life in a Glasshouse? The clarinetists tone gives me chills every time . This recording turned me on to Radiohead and I've been all about them since. Such talents

  • Thank you !

  • when tom sings idioteque, her dancing remember me ian curtis

  • Wooooow. No words. AMAZING!

  • thank you sincerely for this and all the other videos. as a musician, they are truly one of my biggest inspirations ever! I like mostly brit rockers like pj harvey, u2, muse, etc. listening to them always brings me to write new music. I can't wait til they do a king of limbs tour in SF, Calif*** cheers, R

  • @1AmalgamationMusic You're welcome, AB :).

  • 3:44 this is extremely radical in the modern context. wow wee. same feeling of breathlessness you feel following the At The Drive In session on Jools' later!

  • So perfect....

  • Johnny get the Android solos spot on every time!!! BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!

  • 9 persons are still trying to understand what the hell they've just seen. I can tell you "9 persons" that this is ................... music. Very good one.

  • Life in a Glasshouse is great!!!!!

  • It must feel pretty good fucking rocking out playing paranoid android in front of a huge audience! Lucky, talented bastards!

  • it is amazing to see Radiohead in 2001 for a living creature in 2011, i wish i can still see them on the stage several decades later.

  • Austin Brock your an incredible human being for uploading all of these. I watched 97 and 03 glasto and they blew my mind, still praying they do one last tour before disbanding. What do you think of King of Limbs? Has a similar vibe to amnesiac/kid a in my opinion!

  • en el minuto 52:32 hay que avisarle al camarografo que entra la batería... Jajajajaj

  • Dude thanks so much for this upload it's absolutely fantastic!!

  • i never se a live verison of national anthem with saxo

  • thanks man 4 upl this,its great =)

  • Apparently Justin Bieber has 9 youtube accounts.

  • I have the whole thing now, in good quality, but a little grainier than this, I could upload it as a separate video.

Give me a thumbs up and I'll do in in the next few weeks here.

Oh, and I watched this back in 2001 on the BBC, and hearing Idioteque for the first time was absolutely amazing.

  • @AustinBrock Oh, *please* upload it. I recorded it at the time and converted it to mpeg but stupidly used a cheap disc and now my drive can't read it - gutted :o(

  • @AustinBrock

    Dear Mr. Austin Brock:

Every time I find an amazing, Long and HD Radiohead concert is yours. Always yours. Besides the Radiohead channel, you have the best videos ever. Thank you so much for them.

    Suscribed

  • Amazing vids AustinBrock! Suscribed.

  • life in a glasshouse is the reason this video exists

  • You don't even need to see the rest of the band, Thom Yorke plays all the instruments with his body motions.

  • AustinBrock, yet again you are a star... I had this on Sky+ only to be erased for episodes of Come Dine With Me... I was not amused..

  • How amazing is this version of Lucky???

  • just great

  • Sunday morning, cup of tea, spliff, radiohead live ( with the late great Humphrey Lyttleton on trumpet ) i doubt it gets much better than this.

  • its raining like hell outside, im nice and warm watching radiohead on a laptop. Theres no place i'd rather be right now.

  • vocês são mesmo incríveis...

  • If someone asked me to name members of brilliant bands to make a supergroup, I'd just say "Radiohead".

  • you know I love Radiohead because life in a glass house and idioteque and lucky all feel naturally at home on the same setlist

  • Best YouTube channel..........

  • I always get so weirded out when vids say 2001-- this was 2 months before September 11... in 2 months the world would become an even sicker place...

  • That version of Pakt was amazing.

  • johny greenwood es un genio tocando la guitarra

  • and this is on a TV show!?!?? why don't they have this in the United States!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @robinheil because most Americans have to express their love of music through movement. Music that makes a connection with the mind & the soul is deemed to have no place in mainstream culture, because it is considered boring or depressing..because it doesn't encourage dancing(or attract advertisers).Radiohead talks directly to you.it doesn't show you what the "cool" people are doing & encourage you to follow.it defines cool without trying & you are powerless to stop it. AND it makes me dance

  • wtf, jonny is not contributing to the band during National Anthem, he's just watching tv. lol

  • Knives Out is my work out song for some reason...On repeat.

  • i have no hesitation in stating that this "life in a glasshouse" is one of the greatest live performances ever.

  • What's with the rock sign that Thom did 52:09 ??? GOTTA LOVE YORKE

  • Love it!!! This is the best era for Radiohead concert in General. Every few years, some songs just don't get played anymore. I can't think of another that is better, but Austin Brock would have it, if it exists.

  • Thank's for it. Best band of the world. I love so much..

  • 8:30 was magical

  • 6:18 Even the microfone can't be still with radiohead

  • my heart sunk when the ending to no surprises cut off :(

  • The performance of Life in a Glasshouse made me teary-eyed. Amazing.

  • Love Radiohead.

  • 03:53 , is that louis theroux in the crowd?

  • Thom's voice is awesome here :O

  • The best band ever!!! At their best point so far!!!

  • once you become a radiohead, you get addicted to their complexity and so

you can't enjoy normal music anymore (such as coldplay and oasis, etc)

  • @KsideHb I agree until the part of Coldplay. I can enjoy Coldplay, not AS much as Radiohead, but I can. :)

  • Omg AWESOME show.... It gives me shivers down my spin, and maybe a orgasim.

    Geniuses!! Best band out there.

  • 2:30 is ridiculous haha oh Thom!

  • this version of Packt Like Sardines was amazing! i think i have a whole new appreciation of the song now...

  • i love how johnny is always face down in whatever hes playin on you never really see his face and thom can dance like a total retard.. yet they totally pull it off every freakin time they dont know how to be anything other than pure genius

  • i think it's because this wasn't even a week before 9/11 but this performance seems really creepy and eerie.

  • Radiohead's music is undergroundish but they are sub mainstream

  • @23lFrench They're total mainstream and they don't care, which is why people think their underground, and hell they do sound und/sub.. But its all for a good reason, best band of all time.

  • Im guessing Jools Holland is a Radiohead fan because he does let them on his show every time they have a new album out haha

  • you rock, austin brock

  • One of the best nights of my life. I entered a competition for tickets about 150 times and got to go to the studio. They played a warm up set before the broadcast and another half an hour or so afterwards for radio 1. Johnny was sampling from the TV which was tuned to another BBC channel. I was standing at the front over on his side of the stage and you can just about see me at 52:06 wearing a white tshirt and singing along to Idioteque!

  • Thumbs up, please (: National Anthem {missing intro} 00:00 Morning Bell 04:29 Lucky 09:00 Knives Out 13:15 Life In A Glasshouse 18:00 Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box 22:26 No Surprises {ending cuts off} 25:37 Exit Music for a Film 29:07 I Might Be Wrong 34:05 Street Spirit {audio buzzes hard, sorry} 38:52 Paranoid Android 43:47 Idioteque 50:10 The Bends {missing outro} 54:01
  • that cacophony segment in National Anthem, its so strange, out of the darkness something golden and beautiful emerged, it sounded like shit at first but then it became an emotional explosion!

  • He looks so freaking sexy here! I love crazy dancing, it's my favorite mode of dancing

  • Dude i have 1 question is there a version with Dollars and Cents and Everything in its right place somewhere? its my favourite concert and i really really really need the full version :D

  • thanks dude this is so cool, also great quality, :), TINTINTIN TIN TIN dance

  • AustinBrock .... such a porn name no wonder your videos are so long. Good Job on the uploads mate.

  • Love you Austin....you feed my radiohead.

  • @spasserthomas I'd want to upload a video that is 34:45 long. Have you find out how to do it? It would be possible to upload one longer than 1 hour ( 1:15:42 )

  • AustinBrock you are a true hero.

  • an atari shirt, that's so badass

  • Absolument super live de super qualité.

AUSTIN rules !!! (so does Radiohead)

  • It actually scares me how good Radiohead are!

  • life in a glasshouse aahhhhh!!!!, muchas gracias...

  • when i need lll(where is the YOU????) lol

    whatever, nice upload

  • On The Bends does anyone know how jonny is doing that at 56:49. i kno he uses his kill switch but he does something like that on the first "Talking To my Girlfriend" with out the kill switch its sound so sick

  • oh my god. what a concert.

  • i'n not gay but i love this man

  • They've been my favorite band for yeats, I've listened to every song dozens of times, and they still never fail to give me goosebumps, now that's true music.

  • Life In A Glass house is such a awesome tune!

  • the metal players (sax, trombone, etc) are war veterans? ...

even so, if not, i find it SO BEAUTIFUL they are old people... is like... dont know, really nice

  • @mynmyself I doubt they're war veterans, well, depending on which war you mean. I have a feeling Thom, like me, doesn't support wars like iraq, vietnam, etc.

  • @justinorville atoms for peace...

i think i remember reading somewhere that the old guys were veterans that now suffered from some kind of brain handicap because of the war or something... is a pretty nice way of critizising stupid human conflicts...

  • @mynmyself Yeah, that is true, it is a nice way of criticizing it I suppose.

  • nation anthem must be one of the most powerfull songs ever... i can remember nearly ten years ago being really high listening to it... how constant is... that bassline, those drums... just amazing... is really mezmerizing and can really hypnotize you

  • don't get me wrong, i love the direction radiohead has been going lately, but for me, this period is when they were at the top of their game.

  • The performances of; Lucky; Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box; Exit Music; and Street Spirit inspire me.

  • I had this gig on Videotape when it was first aired. I wore the tape out I played it so often, and often regretted not making a duplicate. Thanks for uploading

  • eeeed you!

  • o mio dio knives out.

  • Nothing like a good Thom Yorke freakout

  • anyone know where i can get a dvd of this? please?

  • tremendo aporte,felicitaciones

  • hey how can i download this for myself? like to burn onto a dvd? the quality really is great. thanks alot

  • this is one of the concerts that made a superfan. love it. thanx man.

  • i want the thom yorke 2001 look xD

  • His voice in Knives Out almost made me cry. No homo.

  • The performance of Life in a Glass House is GOD.

  • all i can say is "lucky lucky b*astards!" to the people in the audience

  • AustinBrock you truely are legendary, i have so much respect for you! how long did this all take? this or glasto 2003 are my fav's! thanks

  • ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!

  • everything you have uploaded austinbrock is just amazing. keep the radiohead uploading going especially!!!

  • one of the greatest vocalists in recent history, and certainly the best we've got to offer in todays music scene.. how it can be legal for people to not appreciate Radiohead is unbelievable, the other day i met someone who actually thought Just was written by Mark Ronson!! i i had a gun id have used it a number of times lol

  • this performance of idioteque is godlike.

  • eres el puto amo

  • man im so glad i saw them live during the 90's and in 2003

lol now i live in Nicaragua their never coming here damn it

best band in the whole universe!

  • @TheRedstormshadow curious why u live in Nicaragua

  • bone chilling.

  • OMG Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box :D

  • this is great, thanks.. although the sound isn't sync'd up properly... i'm being fussy though! thanks again.

  • I hope YouTube will eventually let me replace this video. The interlacing is awful looking :|!

  • @AustinBrock It's quite nice for a YT video!

  • @AustinBrock How come during the Paranoid Android the sound quality decreases quite noticeably?

  • @AustinBrock, nothing to be ashamed about, the video still looks very good and after all its the sound beeing the most important element.

And thank you very much for all your trouble sharing it all, a lot of folks owe you one!

    Best regards

  • i wish i could go back to the very first time I heard them

  • Eargasm

  • What is that big box thing with all the wires and cords that Jonny is messing with during Idioteque

  • Hahahaha, Thom is SOOOOO enjoying those horns! :D

  • God, that Starcaster sounds fantastic on Knives Out.

  • it does. Prefer Ed's telecaster and thom ricky 360

  • haha

  • Comment removed

  • that bass is orgasmic

  • What's the fuzz Colin uses on Packt? It sounds absolutely beast.

  • You could not be more right. Greatest Bassline ever?

  • Dude, each of his bassline is like the greatest bassline ever. My Iron Lung, Paranoid Android, Airbag, The National Anthem, Packt, Where I end and you begin, There there, Myxamatosis, 15step, Jigsaw...

  • Don't forget Nude!

  • i just read somewhere that thom actually played the bass on the studio version

  • I read somewhere that Thom made the bassline for National Anthem when he was 16 :P .

  • i read somewhere that thom plays james kirk in the new star trek movie

  • where did you get this from?

  • from your mum

  • @apaboy50 He was born with the plans in his had.

  • Comment removed

  • @hodyou7ube I might be wrong, but the bassline for I might be wrong may top them all!

  • @hodyou7ube can't forget dollars and cents. =)

  • @hodyou7ube 'cept Thom came up with The National Anthem bassline - (my fav) :)

  • A Shin-ei Companion FY-2. I know, it's mighty.
