does anyone know who the horns are that come on for Life in a Glasshouse? The clarinetists tone gives me chills every time . This recording turned me on to Radiohead and I've been all about them since. Such talents
thank you sincerely for this and all the other videos. as a musician, they are truly one of my biggest inspirations ever! I like mostly brit rockers like pj harvey, u2, muse, etc. listening to them always brings me to write new music. I can't wait til they do a king of limbs tour in SF, Calif*** cheers, R
3:44 this is extremely radical in the modern context. wow wee. same feeling of breathlessness you feel following the At The Drive In session on Jools' later!
9 persons are still trying to understand what the hell they've just seen. I can tell you "9 persons" that this is ................... music. Very good one.
Austin Brock your an incredible human being for uploading all of these. I watched 97 and 03 glasto and they blew my mind, still praying they do one last tour before disbanding. What do you think of King of Limbs? Has a similar vibe to amnesiac/kid a in my opinion!
@AustinBrock Oh, *please* upload it. I recorded it at the time and converted it to mpeg but stupidly used a cheap disc and now my drive can't read it - gutted :o(
Every time I find an amazing, Long and HD Radiohead concert is yours. Always yours. Besides the Radiohead channel, you have the best videos ever. Thank you so much for them.
@robinheil because most Americans have to express their love of music through movement. Music that makes a connection with the mind & the soul is deemed to have no place in mainstream culture, because it is considered boring or depressing..because it doesn't encourage dancing(or attract advertisers).Radiohead talks directly to you.it doesn't show you what the "cool" people are doing & encourage you to follow.it defines cool without trying & you are powerless to stop it. AND it makes me dance
Love it!!! This is the best era for Radiohead concert in General. Every few years, some songs just don't get played anymore. I can't think of another that is better, but Austin Brock would have it, if it exists.
i love how johnny is always face down in whatever hes playin on you never really see his face and thom can dance like a total retard.. yet they totally pull it off every freakin time they dont know how to be anything other than pure genius
@23lFrench They're total mainstream and they don't care, which is why people think their underground, and hell they do sound und/sub.. But its all for a good reason, best band of all time.
One of the best nights of my life. I entered a competition for tickets about 150 times and got to go to the studio. They played a warm up set before the broadcast and another half an hour or so afterwards for radio 1. Johnny was sampling from the TV which was tuned to another BBC channel. I was standing at the front over on his side of the stage and you can just about see me at 52:06 wearing a white tshirt and singing along to Idioteque!
Thumbs up, please (: National Anthem {missing intro} 00:00 Morning Bell 04:29 Lucky 09:00 Knives Out 13:15 Life In A Glasshouse 18:00 Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box 22:26 No Surprises {ending cuts off} 25:37 Exit Music for a Film 29:07 I Might Be Wrong 34:05 Street Spirit {audio buzzes hard, sorry} 38:52 Paranoid Android 43:47 Idioteque 50:10 The Bends {missing outro} 54:01
that cacophony segment in National Anthem, its so strange, out of the darkness something golden and beautiful emerged, it sounded like shit at first but then it became an emotional explosion!
Dude i have 1 question is there a version with Dollars and Cents and Everything in its right place somewhere? its my favourite concert and i really really really need the full version :D
@spasserthomas I'd want to upload a video that is 34:45 long. Have you find out how to do it? It would be possible to upload one longer than 1 hour ( 1:15:42 )
On The Bends does anyone know how jonny is doing that at 56:49. i kno he uses his kill switch but he does something like that on the first "Talking To my Girlfriend" with out the kill switch its sound so sick
They've been my favorite band for yeats, I've listened to every song dozens of times, and they still never fail to give me goosebumps, now that's true music.
@mynmyself I doubt they're war veterans, well, depending on which war you mean. I have a feeling Thom, like me, doesn't support wars like iraq, vietnam, etc.
i think i remember reading somewhere that the old guys were veterans that now suffered from some kind of brain handicap because of the war or something... is a pretty nice way of critizising stupid human conflicts...
nation anthem must be one of the most powerfull songs ever... i can remember nearly ten years ago being really high listening to it... how constant is... that bassline, those drums... just amazing... is really mezmerizing and can really hypnotize you
I had this gig on Videotape when it was first aired. I wore the tape out I played it so often, and often regretted not making a duplicate. Thanks for uploading
one of the greatest vocalists in recent history, and certainly the best we've got to offer in todays music scene.. how it can be legal for people to not appreciate Radiohead is unbelievable, the other day i met someone who actually thought Just was written by Mark Ronson!! i i had a gun id have used it a number of times lol
