@chaowalker Honestly, I didn't know when I made this video and I don't know now. I do know that when I made this video I wanted to have as many safeguards as possible. Which is why I got as many badges points as I needed to pretty much equip every badge I had. As you can see in the video, I wasn't often at a point where Close Call would have even come into effect, yet I had all of them equipped.

@Stormybue The rock was just sort of a random happening like there is in some boss battles. The dried shrooms were a safeguard in case any of my partners died, I could use the dried shroom to bring them to 1 health which would allow the Danger Partner effect to take place which was essential to get me through some of the later floors and do a lot of damage in this boss fight.

You get some serious props, man. This is one of the most impressive Paper Mario stunts I've ever seen. How soul-crushing was it to grind up to Level 44? Where did you grind? Was it worse than hunting all those badges?

@glebs Level grinding at this point in the game can be done pretty easily. I actually spent a lot of time in the pit itself though which was much more difficult than farming enemies that can be killed in 1 hit. I practiced a lot in the Pit to slowly develop strategies to progress through the levels. It was pretty easy to obtain most of the badges, I was lucky to get some of them. Once I could equip all my badges I was satisfied with my level but of course I kept getting more badges.

Dont you get less XP everytime you lvl up and fight goombas? at like lvl 3 i think goombas give like 1 green xp. or is it what chapter your on?

@biggy386454 It's definitely not based on chapters. By the end of the prologue I was only getting 1 star point per battle against goombas.

@789Charizard I don't have all the badges and yes I am human. I don't have the best badges even though I do have a lot I just have the ones that will get me by well enough. The reason I had to speed it up was because otherwise this video would've exceeded 10 minutes. To be honest apart from the beginning this battle isn't all that exciting. It follows a pretty distinct pattern of fire drive two turns in a row and then sweet treat.

@sasuke2277 And you'd be right. If I actually had all the badges, but I don't actually have all the badges. All the badges I have are available in Chapter 1, the reason I have so many is because sometimes enemies drop them.

@sasuke2277 My memory is a little foggy, it's be over three years since I did this, but I'm pretty sure the rarest thing I got in the Pit was an HP Plus P. Some badges are more common than you would think. I believe I obtained at least on Pretty Lucky and Pretty Lucky P. The most common thing obviously was Close Calls though.

@thenextganon It did take me a long time. My game clock was at about 62 hours. That doesn't include all the times I died before I even got to the boss. The rest of the game was obviously pretty easy though.

How the heck can all you think he's cheating? The enemies in the Pit of 100 Trials alone spawn crazy amounts of coins and Star Points, and all of those badges can be bought or found legitimately by the end of the first chapter!

I'm not sure what coloration there is between me never saying I wouldn't cheat and me only being only in the first chapter. Honestly though for all you doubters out there, why do you think I cheated? Sure I have a lot of badges but none of them are really worth cheating for, the only ones that were really useful were Fire Drive, the Lucky badges and the Happy badges.  For those of you who know this game well enough you know that I didn't need to cheat to get those.

you aren't able to acquire that many close call badges till after getting the excess express star, only then are you able to do all the troubles that give you the mini-game cards that will let you buy the badges from the pinata parlor. so yes he is indeed cheating.

Badges can be dropped by enemies, you don't always have to buy them.

but early in the game, its very unlikely that badges will be carried by enemies. if you see an enemy holding a badge in battle, that doesn't mean the enemy will drop it. without miss mouz, that seems highly improbable

The only other challenge that I know of is the minimum amount of battles challenge. It involves beating the game with as few battles as possible. I'm sure there are probably more than that though.
