  • she also covered Question by the MB and made an excellent job of both -

  • magnifique chanson....

  • Thanks for sharing this video

  • ...sie hat hunderte von songs gesungen, ein unglaubliches repertoire seit 44 jahren!!!

  • a super song

  • Thanks, Zaragon59.

Guess I know what she's done. Just as she took the Moody Blues text, replacing "man" by "girl", and "he" by "she", she also took the Compagnons de la chanson text, replacing "l'homme" by "celle". That leaves the German cover version as the only independent one.

  • genau! ...and that's also one of the reasons, why I prefer the German version over the others - it's more personal, and Vicky gets to do quite a magnificent interpretation of Klaus Munro's fine words to the song.. it's Vicky at her best, imho.

Alles Gute an dich, huX frm CPH

  • Very nicely done - I enjoyed the slide show of the interesting covers for Vicky.

  • She is amazing. Her command of other languages is wonderful!!

  • ..great song, and Vicky did this cover of the Moody Blues in 4 languages - her German version being the best of the lot, imho. I don't think droopy did an interesting video displaying covers of mostly German albums here... sorry...

  • You are extremely insulting! First you attack the efforts of this person for putting together a nice tribute to someone he obviously appreciates, then you go dig even further (sarcastically) by addressing him as "droopy", when his name is clearly "drupi69".

I also can't help but notice you don't take the time to create videos - why don't you put your money where your mouth is and show us how it is done before you insult those of us who do these slide shows as a labor of love!!

  • Blah, blah, blah.

    Whatever.

  • @zaragon59 nice to see you outvoted....seems most here think you're pretty obnoxious and that includes me......LOL

  • @wally1435 - I am pleased that you feel so great about that! You're entitled to have your opinion and I am entitled to have mine. It's so tempting to use the ending line of Gone With The Wind, but no.... I won't do that.. :-)

  • 4 languages? German, English, Greek. Which one is the last? And what's the title? (As far as I know, the French version - Mélancolie femme - was by Michèle Torr, and the Italian version - Un uomo qualunque - by I Camaleonti.)
