Once again, you gave us a perfect video! Could you please share with us the setting to get this tone for delay and gear...? Thank you in advance and please give us more vids.
The mark iv is like a recto under control... I read that from someone else, but I don't think you can describe it any better. I also think the cleans are way better on a mk iv.
Love your videos. I have the same guitar and just got a Mark IV. Do you have any advise for the Rhythm 2 channel? Every other channel is great but I think I might need to boost/shape this channel for crunch.
Hey man! Amazing gear and amazing tone on all your videos. I would love so much to have the gear you have, but probably more so, the amazing talent you have, you feel is just brilliant.
Anyways, I personally would love to see you cover the first solo to this song, I think it's maybe even more amazing than then final solo. Please send me a PM if your willing to give it a go cause God knows I and many others would love to see and even more so, hear it.
Sounds just like Petrucci. If I didn't know any better, I'd think he was playing. Do you remember what your settings were on the Mark IV for this and if you used the graphic EQ at all? I'm getting my Mark IV delivered next week and I wanna try your settings out with my JP6. Thanks. -Petruccirocks02
I'm using stock Mesa tubes that came with the amp. It is less than a year old so they are still kinda new. Settings for the lead chan. were just posted at grailtone.
I am pretty set on Mark IV combo with the single 12I'm moving from a house to an apartment and between bands at the moment. I have been using a Marshall AVT 150 and a 1960 Lead cab with my old band. I just can't stand the AVT... Anyways, I want to down size my rig for the apartment but I wanted to get those tones i have been searching for.
I was going to keep my cab and hook the Mark IV up if i get back into the band situation. My other choice was just to give up on my dream amp for the moment and get something versatile and record demos with. So i was looking at an old Line 6 Ax2 converted into a head. I've played around with this amp before and I enjoy the tones i get from it for bedroom playing. I just don't want to buy again and end up with buyers remorse. Mark IV it is.
The Mark IV is your dream amp? It's really, really versatile. Very much the audiophile's choice.
It's kinda ironic, I'm making a similar move. Using a Marshall Valvestate 2x12 100 watt combo... pre-AVT. Ick. Getting a Mark IIC+ :D It's kinda crazy to get that as my first tube amp... but so be it.
Once again, you gave us a perfect video! Could you please share with us the setting to get this tone for delay and gear...? Thank you in advance and please give us more vids.

i agree with "petruccirocks*2", hey did you consider a laney vh100r before you went with the mark IV?
TheShield04 4 years ago
Toney Iommi uses a Laney now, and has for a while. There is no way his tone is nearly as warm as this.

death1234321 4 years ago
I'm not using any reverb. That's a delay patch. The gain was somewhere around 7-8
Enc3f4L0 4 years ago

Nice playing. What are you using for effects and are they in the loop or are you running the amp clean and putting your effects "in front" of it?
gweebage 4 years ago
Thanks. I'm using just a simple delay preset on my TC G-Force. In the loop.
