Guns are tools, plain and simple. If a crazy person kills someone with a knife are you going to cry out to ban knives because they kill people? What about a roofing hammer? You could kill a person with one of those petty easily. People need to stop trying to shift blame onto the tool and keep it where out belongs. Guns wouldn't hurt anyone if nobody used them for that purpose. And as for gun laws? Only law-abiding citizens follow them, and law-abiding citizens don't go around shooting people....
Well, no one knew he had mental illness. There was that video he shot of his community college when he acted a little crazy, but he bought a gun before that. I do agree that hand guns are only used to kill other people. it's much easier to kill with a hand gun than a rifle because rifles are more noticeable. You can still protect yourself with a rifle.
@dclaver2 um actually, handguns were made so people of upper class could have a weapon to protect themselves while taking a stroll through a lower class neighborhood and not have a 10 pound rifle to lug around, and no actually its much harder to kill with a handgun, while adrenaline is pumping through you you're shaking and you only have 1 point of impact on your body so youll shake and accuracy is reduced hugely! so dont give me that crap, you obviously dont know what you're talking about.
what's wrong with america ! i'm from belguim x we don't own guns x giving the licence to have a gun is exactly the same as giving the licence to kill people x
@skyline2340 I've been shooting since I was six years old. I'm tired of people making these false generalities. JUST STOP. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. You could kill someone with a car much more easily than you can with a gun. Giving the licence to have a car is exactly the same as giving the lcence to kill people.
I carry concealed like this young man, but I wish Ed Schultz had pressed him about something worrisome he said. He said he would have shot the man holding the gun, and Ed decided not to ask him about the consequences because he would have shot the *wrong man.*
You do not shoot a man holding a gun after an incident like this. You shoot a man who is *pointing* the gun, but never a man holding it in a nonthreatening way, i.e. by the butt or slide, barrel down.
@herrbrahms i agree with what youre saying but he also said before that if they hadnt gotten this man to the ground he would have shot him. he also said he saw a man holding the gun, not pointing it yet he only grabbed the mans wrist and made him drop it and didnt shoot him. situation dictates and perfect scenarios only exist in the text books. Like he said you dont have time to think only react.
So, when this shooting happened, where were the police? They can't be everywhere...it's unreasonable to expect otherwise. Responsible and safe citizens carrying can help deter events like this...someone opens fire on a crowd, I'm not hoping a cop is there to protect my wife and I when I can do it myself. It's my right to defend myself from those who seek to harm me and to defend myself from those who wish to take my gun from me.
I could ram my truck into a school bus full of kids and could possibly kill all the kids on the bus. Does that mean we shouldn't be able to drive cars?
HAHAH, anti gun, you just don't understand anything about liberty if you think that there is such a thing as collective responsibility, a fascist concept.
They are a tool and that tool can be used good or bad.
Thing is though, if we want to keep living under the least form of repressive government, the people must be able to defend their rights, and the only ways the people can defend themselves from tyranny are weapons.
You are not free unless you have a means to defend that freedom.
Banning guns does not work and infringes on the rights of people, private property is not the problem
@RyanR3volution regardless, i don't like it when my kids see my neighbors with guns and ask me if it is ok to use guns. guns ARE a bad influence, whether they are used for bad or not. how would you feel if your child witnessed a shooting? banning guns simply means that people aren't in the position to use them for ill when they snap. look at shareef allman. he was a well-respected man and he just snapped. human nature is the reason. guns must be banned.
That is not your decesion, just because you want to sheild your kids from something does not mean you have a right to violently push that belief onto others.
Guns are not a bad influence, they are the opposite, they teach responsibility, respect, and armed people, are polite people.
People must be armed to protect their freedom, crazy people are always going to go crazy and force can only be stopped with a good guy with a gun.
1) Washington DC's low murder rate of 81 per 600,000 is due to strict gun control, and Indianapolis' high murder rate of 69 per 100,000 is due to the lack of gun control. This correlation holds true for other cities as well.
2) You can still incapacitate a lunatic with pepper spray or such, so you don't NEED a gun.
You're not protecting jack shit with a gun. You're just being part of the problem. Have you noticed that 0 people have agreed with you? Shut the fuck up!
That is nonsense, you are safer when you carry and so are people around you. There is a reason why it is safer in Wyoming and Arizona, as compared to NU and DC.
You have no right to tell me what I fucking need, ok pal. You don't like guns? don't get one.
An armed society is a polite society, more guns = less crime.
Disarming people creates crime, that is why the worst crime ridden places in the US are a combination from the drug war and disarming people.
@hiphopheadkingmag I've heard the opposite in stats...my several dozen firearms have killed no one...cept the two from WW2 that probably sent a few Nazis or Japanese soliders to their graves....
@hiphopheadkingmag No, I'm not joking. First I base it on experience. I live in NH and we have very few gun laws and have very little gun crime. Across the border in Mass, you get all KINDS of crime and gun violence yet they have some of the most strict gun laws in the country. I looked around for stats but had trouble finding unbias stats that gave a clear picture. I went to wikipedia and it referenced the Bureau for Justice statistics. NH was the lowest for the year analyzed.
@hiphopheadkingmag To give an idea of how free NH is, at lunch one day I decided I was going to by my AK-47. After work I swung by the gun store I frequent, picked it out, he called it in, and after chatting, paperwork, I was home in time for dinner with my new rifle. Since then I've been trying to get it to operate how I want and spend more time working on it than shooting it, but it's pretty accurate for an AK...and I think my most recent modifications will get it running smoothly. :)
@hiphopheadkingmag What you're saying is actually not true, it is only partially responsible for violent crime. You can look at cities in Colorado which have only about 6-7 murders per 100,000 in calender year and they have some of the most relaxed gun laws in the country. Crime rates go up with a combination of population density, economic disparity, heterogeneous population demographics and low education/employment opportunities. Gun laws have less effect than people think. - CRJ student
I have a question for gun control advocates. Let's say for a moment that you want to outlaw guns (extreme I know, but it's just an example). Are drugs illegal in this country? Yes. Then why do we have a drug problem?
He said he has a lot of firearms, then moments later says he can't imagine having a firearm. LOL. Dumbass. And the arrogance of this assclown to say that it's OK for him to own the guns he likes but not others to own the guns they like is mind blowing.
"If the sole purpose of handguns is to kill people, then mine are all defective." - Ted Nugent
A concealed weapon with a 30 round magazine? No such thing exists. What will they make up next? The problem with anti-gunners is that they literally don't know what they're talking about. They literally don't know hardly anything about firearms, the kinds, their use, how they are made, what they can or can't do, what they cost, how they work, and on and on...
@JAndersonIV i own several firearms hwvr most folks, white black &brown DO NOT respect the power of their weapon.Statistics show that ones more likely to be killed during a robbery by their own weapon than anything else.Saw a story about some white trash hillbilly that left his loaded weapon on the kitchen table after getting spooked by a noise made by a cat in his garden. His stepdaughter shot herself in the face with it while eating a bowl of cereal at breakfast the following a.m...Charge him
@newjerseydev Statistics show? What statistics? Would like to see a reputable report on that. This is exactly what I am talking about. And I honestly don't mean to be rude, but your account doesn't have any videos so it's hard to see your credibility.
@JAndersonIV didnt know i had to have uploaded videos to have credibility even an opinion. google newscientist 17922 Carrying gun increases risk killed ... I actually own several firearms however unlike the white trash hillbillies commenting on this page I respect my weapons. when i leave my residence the guns are locked down in my safe room.I dont want citizens carrying concealed weapons as i know what most gun owners are like...i dont feel safe with local COPS having guns
@newjerseydev With no videos, no one knows who you are. You could be a 12yr old girl for all we know. You may not even own guns like you claim. Most gun owners are NOT "white trash hillbillies" as you claim. That is a stupid stereotype. And you can stop citizens from carrying but not criminals. I'd rather be able to protect myself. The right to carry arms has been a part of America's constitution since its inception. If you don't feel safe here, you can go to a country where guns are illegal.
@JAndersonIV Fine argue with me over the demographics.youre right im 13, named Fatima and living in a cave just south of Baghdad..I dont need to share videos with ppl to have an opinion. last time i checked that right was covered in the 1st amendment...as i said if you want to own a gun you better take some responsibility.if someones shot with your weapon...you should be held accountable.theres nothing wrong with that. i just know far too many idiots with guns for my liking.peace
@newjerseydev Exactly. You have the right to say anything you want. I never said you couldn't. I just have the right to debate with you. And unless you build your credibility, no one will listen to what you have to say. If you want to debate something successfully, you have to be credible. I own multiple guns, and carry multiple guns. I haven't had a single problem yet, and I know the responsibility it takes. Sorry you know idiots with guns, but they aren't a part of the gun community.
@JAndersonIV The US has 6-10X the gun crime per capita than any other western nation.Almost half of all gun crime is committed with legally purchased firearms. This loughner character as well as the folks who shot up columbine bought their weapons legally. Are they part of your gun community? How about Charles wHITMAN?Major Nidal Malik Hasan?or Tim McVeigh? They all legally owned firearms, all but one committed mass murder with them and all were unstable&irresponsible.im playing devils advocate
@newjerseydev Wrong. The Columbine kids engaged in a straw purchase for their firearms. Which is illegal. They also illegally modified their weapons and made homemade bombs. Homemade explosives and sawn off shotguns are against the law, but did that stop them? No. I don't know enough to comment on the others but I'd assume they are similar situations. Criminals will get guns no matter what the law says. As a citizen knowing the police can't be everywhere at once, I have the right to protect myse
@newjerseydev That's a moot point. If these men made it through the military without anyone noticing their problems then how could you expect to stop them? Even if they couldn't buy them legally they would have gotten the guns anyways. You have to agree with that much at least. Restricting firearms only stops the good, law-abiding citizens from buying them. Someone planning on committing murder isn't worried about whether or not his/her murder weapon was legally purchased.
@JAndersonIV 2 of the killers i mentioned were civilians with legally purchased firearms.i do agree criminals will find guns regardless of whether theyre legal or not.i just have issues with the gun culture engrained in our society, especially with people that buy firearms legally and are irresponsible with them.my point was if u buy a gun you ahve to be held accountable.if your daughter shoots herself in the face you get locked up.that was my primary point
@newjerseydev Oh, well that's certainly something I can agree with. And as someone who considers himself "in the gun community" and who is clearly passionate about the topic, let me just say that there is nothing we (pro 2nd Amendment types) hate more than irresponsible people with guns. While I do believe we all have the right to defend ourselves, I do not believe anyone has the right to senselessly endanger others or take a life that is not necessary to save one's own.
@JAndersonIV If the vast majority of gun owners were responsible then we wouldnt have so many instances of accidental shootings.last yr there were 52447 deliberate and 23237 accidental non-fatal gunshot injuries. If almost half the injuries were a result of accidental shootings what does that tell about folks who own guns?
@newjerseydev It tells me your statistics aren't coming from a good source. And as fun as this has been, I'm really done with the debate. Clearly I am willing to concede points and be reasonable but you are not. If you really believe everything you are saying then it is extremely hypocritical that you also claim to own firearms yourself. If you feel so endangered, sell your guns and move to Singapore. Having any kind of weapon there yields the death penalty. So they're all unarmed over there.
@JAndersonIV I actually conceded the point that murderers will procure guns regardless of whether they are legal or not however its your gun culture thats responsible for your murderous society.btw 2 of the guns left at the scene of the IHOP shooting spree that happened last night were purchased legally. have fun living in the wild west....u should feel proud your gun crime rates are 6-10X that of western europes. very proud. take care
@newjerseydev My gun culture? No it's criminal culture. My gun culture involves enjoyment of firearms and how they work, the fun of target shooting, the practicality of them as tools, and the right of every human being to defend themselves. In my 21 years of life I have never witnessed a shooting, known, or even heard of anyone that a friend knows being shot. Good job quoting the same statistic for the 3rd time. Being unarmed really helped your police stop those riots in the UK. Good job!

@JAndersonIV dont know enough about the others?2 were ex military, one was in the military.they killed scores of ppl between them.lets not forget about the washington sniper who was ex military as well.shot dozens with a legally purchased rifle.do some research instead of stating "they are similar situations"..app 50% of all homocides are committed with legally purchased firearms.6-10X the number of homocides per capita than anywhere else in the white western world. something to be proud of
Check this out, Lunatic with a glock19/Mac90 coming to my Sunday Worship to shoot up some Cannon Fodder like Colorado Springs. 3-12 people armed with Mosin Nagants, SKSes, PSL 54cs, M1As, Enfield No4Mk1 with 174gr Hornady Interlock. Nah! LUNATIC WILL GO TO A GUN-FREE ZONE ONLY! Courtesy of the Red White and Blue!!
It must be nice to be able to own all of the toys Mr. Ed has. A 10 gage, I have never even seen one, a 12 gage, etc. He also owns two aircraft and a hunting lodge. But the lodge is not in the US paying taxes and employing US employees. It is in Canada where he says he loves to fly in in his own aircraft.
Mr. Ed is a jerk, he babbles about whatever is in the news with his Socialist slant.
30 rounds isn't a lot if you are in a close range gun fight with adrenaline pumping. Aim is much worse when your adrenaline is pumping and you in fear for your life.
@edvhou81Take it from me, I have been shooting since 1967. These 9mm high capacity handguns are just good enough for drive by shootings. A good old bolt action Mauser would have been a lot more lethal (the German 8mm can go through several people at the same time), and a lot more accurate. For my part, I would have needed only one head shot at 100 yards, and I guarantee no survivors. Antique guns are often a lot more effective than these modern toys.
In Britain we now have armed response police units. We are shocked to see them ,but society is changing. We have many immigrants who have come from lawless barbaric cultures, Criminal gangs yardies east European Mafia Pakistani Islamic terrorists etc.Law abiding citizens are massacred Hungerford , Dunblane, Raol Moat because only whackos get guns.
"Anyone will to give up freedom for peace does not deserve either."
Patrick Henry.
You need to join Rosie and give up your guns. Guns protect us from our government. Wake the hell up america. We can if needed over throw the government. That why. Our freedoms are more important than one life.
Joe Zamudio is a HERO for telling the TRUTH about GUNS. Ever watch Star Wars or other futuristic space movie? Everybody is armed. Either with a light-saber or a raygun. The point is everyone is armed. And we should be. That is the MOST critical difference between communism and a REPUBLIC.
@austincmcm I know what a gun is for smart ass. But my point is.. That more people are killed by cars and other things. My point is that in the hands of the wrong person a rope can easily kill someone. That is what I meant. We as americans have a right to protect ourselves. If they outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns. Is that what you want?
I'm sorry, but how exactly is this guy a "hero"? From what I understand by the time he got to the scene of the shooting, Loughner had already been subdued and his gun had been taken away, which essentially made him harmless, and this guy ended up almost compunding the tragedy when he nearly killed the guy who took the gun away. Did I miss something? Where was his act of heroism in all of this? Do the gun nuts of America think that the act of carrying a gun in and of itself makes him a hero?
Why do people whine about not wanting guns in this country. A gun is simply a tool. If their were no guns, people could still be killed by sticks, knives.rocks, bricks, beer bottles, rope, hands, feet, baseball bats, vehicles, if these things are put in the hands of the wrong person. So should we out law all of the above?
No matter how many laws you make, the criminals will always find a way. Just look at the success of the War on Drugs. Illegal drugs are everywhere in this country.

@newjerseydev i dont know i have heard about guns being used in selfe defense more than 2 million times a year...... i dont care if people respect my firearms or myself. my firearms do work so it is there life decision
@xxbryan715xx if your gun is used in the killing of another human you have to be held responsible. If you lose your gun, you leave it on a table, ots stolen from you YOU are responsible. Thats what i was saying
a misspelled word is not comparable to the loss of 30 lives in a few seconds though, so not a good comparison. so "coolhandluke," should we go hand loughner another weapon since it is his right under the constitution? would you be for or against that. just curious.
@coffeescup It's an analogy, so no shit its not comparable. But placing the blame on the gun and not the bat-shit crazy guy, and blaming the pencil are comparable. The problem is not the guns, its the people using the guns. Whether he shoots someone, or uses a different weapon, he still has a desire to harm someone. There are millions of gun owners who will never have a single confrontation with their guns. And its CoolHandLOC sweetheart.
@coffeescup And no I would not want to hand him another weapon because it is no longer his right to have one. I don't like crazy people having guns any less than you do.
@coolhandloc1 i own several firearms hwvr most folks, white black &brown DO NOT respect the power of their weapon.Statistics show that ones more likely to be killed during a robbery by their own weapon than anything else.Saw a story about some white trash hillbilly that left his loaded weapon on the kitchen table after getting spooked by a noise made by a cat in his garden. @1:44 and 1:52 hes reading script and doesn't care about protecting his family by use of firearms. The second amendment is not for sporting reason it is for protection.Guns exist and they will be apart of this world forever. The solution shouldn't be about radical reform leaving law abiding citizens at the mercy of the lawless. We need to implement them into the education system and have licencing similar to that of a drivers licence. With tests and psych-evals.
*kid walks into gun shop wearing swastika T-shirt and carrying a list of classmates' names*
Store clerk: "Here, have our Complete Rampage Set. It comes with an AK-47 with extended clips, an AA-15 automatic shotgun, laser sights, and 50000 rounds of ammo. And I'll throw in this pipe bomb building kit free!"
*kid shoots up his school*
Clerk to police: "Yea that's a tragedy, but this kid's 2nd Amendment rights shall not be infringed!"
@roguetrip99 A famous leader of a country stated that the people have been disarmed and all guns registered with the government.Only the police and military are armed.Someday the world will follow our lead. His name was Adolph Hitler.Great company you keep. Some men are just afraid of firearms so they want 2 restrict firearms from law abiding citizens.Try and disarm the people and see what happens.Dead cops and dead citizens.Since they are out numbered they will die or come 2 their senses.
@2deltaactual Dude I have no problem with the right for responsible, law-abiding Americans to own firearms. I am freaked out however by right-wingers who pepper their speech with gun metaphors, seem to be literally in love with guns, threaten this country with revolution and mass slaughter if they lose an election, think anyone over age 2 should be able to own an assault weapon, and who given their way would've made it so the VT and Columbine shooters could've gotten guns as Happy Meal toys
@roguetrip99 Theres not a shred of reality in your statement. It's completely farcical. Your narrow mindedness and exaggerations detracts from the seriousness of the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. You crack jokes aimed at political figures you don't like at the cost of threatening the future possibility of Law abiding mentally sound citizens such as myself from being able to protect their family.
@roguetrip99 | OI!!!!! SCUMBAG!!!!! WHEN THE AMERICAN ARMED FORCES ILLEGALLY STOLE LOUISIANAN HOMEOWNERS FIREARMS BEFORE HURRICANE KATRINA HIT THEY WERE ALL UNABLE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM THE LOOTING RAPING AND MURDERING THAT ENSUED AFTER THE HURRICANE THAT ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAD GUNS BEFORE THEY WERE ILLEGALLY TAKEN FROM THEM WOULD HAVE EASILY BEEN ABLE TO STOP!!! FROM NOW ON YOU CAN TAKE AMERICA'S GUNS AFTER YOU'VE BEEN FILLED FULL OF LEAD YOU COMMUNIST PIECE OF SHIT TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!
@dljc1979 WHY IS IT THAT EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH YOU REPUKES IS A COMMIE AND A TRAITOR?!?! AND EVEN IF THEY WANTED TO, NOBODY WILL EVER BE ABLE TO TAKE AWAY YOUR GUNS BECAUSE CLEARLY YOU'RE TOO BUSY HAVING SEX WITH THEM!!! YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN, BY THE WAY!!!!!!!1111ELEVEN
@roguetrip99 | it's funny because you are disagreeing with me.. hahahahaha.. you ARE a commie and you ARE a traitor EVEN IF you don't know it.. grow up and see the world as it actually is you god damn little cock-sucking slave..
@dljc1979 yea yea yea anyone who disagrees with the Republican Party hates America. We've been hearing that shit from Fucks News since 2003, get some new material. And if you guys are soooooooooo paychreeawtick, why did you deny benefits to 9/11 first responders? I thought that was the GOP's personal tragedy to milk and exploit, the least they could do is pretend to care about those involved.
@roguetrip99 | THE 2ND AMENDMENT IS THE ONLY THING STOPPING THIS SHITHOLE OF A COUNTRY FROM BECOMING WORSE, THE 2ND AMENDMENT IS WHAT ALLOWS THE CITIZEN TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST THE CRIMINAL AND THE TRAITOR, THOSE HIGH SCHOOL KILLERS DON'T NEED THE 2ND AMENDMENT TO ACQUIRE FIREARMS!!! THOSE HIGH SCHOOL KILLERS ARE CRIMINALS AND CRIMINALS WHO WANT TO KILL WILL GET FIREARMS ANYWHERE THEY WANT TO GET THEM FROM!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE WHY CITIZENS NEED THE 2ND AMENDMENT!!!!!! YOU ARE A TRAITOR!!!!!!
@roguetrip99 | I CAN SEE THAT YOU HAVE NO ANSWER BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE WRONG AND YOU HAVE NOW OF COURSE RESORTED TO A PETTY INSULT, BRAVO DIPSHIT!!!
@dljc1979 You know what's funny is that Republicans like you want to ban gay marriage, but clearly want to be able to marry and have sex with their guns
that is cause they have small population, a 99% of people are not gun lovers and most don't like to own guns, so your point is??? PS Switzerland is Liberal, ;D
The real news here isn't Ed Shultz or the hero Joe. The real news is that Loughner did NOT have a gun! It was "another guy". He wrestled w/ him after chasing him & no one said anything until Joe the witness dropped the gun after he wrestled it away. Then it said his 1st instinct was 'it didn't even come from him"! WHy isn't that the headline? It makes perfect sense that if this was a targetted psy-op. Ive researched these before like Virg. Tech & Columbine.
It's time we did the sensible, decent thing and enforced meaningful background checks and banned high capacity clips. Neither action should be viewed as a threat to 2nd amendment rights. Please check out my video..."culture of violence."
did anyone here about the guy in new york who stabbed three people to death in a matter of minutes, then later in the week he killed another person.... lets ban knives and anything sharp and pointy
PWND!!!!! Talk about a backfire into a leftists face. IDK if that is how everyone else seen this but that is what I got out of it. PPL never get to see these stories and this one obvioously went another direction and not down its intended path. Guns dont kill ppl, ppl kill ppl. Imagine if this psycho had a 357 and a 44 with only 12 rds.......probably 12 deaths in a semi crowded area. If it was really crowded 12rds could kill 12 and wound or kill 12 additional! 30 rd clips kept ppl alive
Fucking seriously... Every time things like this happens, americans ask themselves "how could this happen?" Well, for starters, meybce because you fucking teahc your 8 year olds that guns are cool, killing people is allright and dying for ones country is glorious.
Fucking americans, take your responsibility! Stop masturbating over your guns and your gun-rights and get the connection!
@Ztiller1991 "meybce because you fucking teahc your 8 year olds that guns are cool, killing people is allright and dying for ones country is glorious."
Kids who are taught how to handle a gun early on are the least likely people to ever shoot somebody. Killing people if definitely "alright" in the correct circumstances if you can't see that you are a moral midget.
What I am suggesting is instead of trying to distract the government with this gun debate, people should start do something useful like call for universal healthcare so we are on par with other nations such as France. France not only have universal healthcare, but also have government services such as wet-nurses, maids and doctors that could be called to your house on time, and they are still some of the richest countries on Earth. And they are fine without people having firearms
@EuphrasieF , what's ridiculous is he's tried to pass himself off as this gun toting libeal who believes in the Consitution and unfortunately if he did have any of that in him ever, it's far gone now that he's working for the devil. Mainstream media does nothing but lie. That's why everyone w/ any brains left is watching PressTV, RT, LinkTV, etc. NYTimes has had it. They lose billions but don't care cuz they are brainwashing. They'll get it back anyways in some BS bailout bill we pay for.
Then why do the police and military? We have effective weapons to keep the gov't from taking our rights - that's the entire point of the 2nd Amendment, to keep the gov't afraid to attack the people like they are doing in Libya and Bahrain.
It's like marijuana. People still do it even though it's illegal, but like guns, if you made them MORE illegal or made MORE laws, strict laws, they would be less out of control, and less people would get ahold of guns or weed
I am so glad that people start to learn to cry. What made a different between a soldier get shoot and the judge get shoot. What made a different between a boat people drown in the ocean and a son of JFK drown in the ocean. What made a different between a congress got shoot and a immigration got shoot. What made a different between a six year old girl get shoot and a six year old girl in Vietnam looking for freedom got shoot. There is no Mercy that why come violence. Be Mercy+ Loyalty to everyone
Thank you Joe for being a good American. We can own guns here because this is America, banning them is not an option. Never sacrifice freedom for safety for if you do, you will have neither in the end.
@TheUWF that is cause they have small population, a 99% of people are not Hicks, and most don't to own guns there ok , so your point is??? PS Switzerland is Liberal, ;D
@TheUWF that is cause they have small population, a 99% of people are not gun loving fools, and most don't like to own guns, so your point is??? PS Switzerland is Liberal, ;D
@TheUWF that is because it has a very small population, also most are liberal there, and most DON"T OWN GUNS, lol if you have ever been there you would know that, hahahhaha what a pitiful argument for gun rights, lol
Mexico has very strict gun laws look how its working for them! Does anyone really believe that the criminals will give up there guns? No they will rejoice in the fact that they will go unopposed when they break into your house with the gun they did not turn in.
Guns are tools, plain and simple. If a crazy person kills someone with a knife are you going to cry out to ban knives because they kill people? What about a roofing hammer? You could kill someone with a car much more easily than you can with a gun. Giving the licence to have a car is exactly the same as giving the lcence to kill people.

I carry concealed like this young man, but I wish Ed Schultz had pressed him about something worrisome he said. He said he would have shot the man holding the gun, and Ed decided not to ask him about the consequences because he would have shot the *wrong man.*
You do not shoot a man holding a gun after an incident like this. You shoot a man who is *pointing* the gun, but never a man holding it in a nonthreatening way, i.e. by the butt or slide, barrel down.
herrbrahms 3 months ago

@RyanR3volution eeemmm well i didnt know about that. my point is:
1 guns are made to kill people (well, you can defend yourself with a gun... if you call defending just blowing the guy´s head off)
2 i dont want to get people killed
3 gun killing rates in your country are fucking high
thats my opinion ;)
willy1986tralara 5 months ago
@willy1986tralara
No shit, guns are made to kill people.
RyanR3volution 5 months ago
@RyanR3volution regardless, i don't like it when my kids see my neighbors with guns and ask me if it is ok to use guns. guns ARE a bad influence, whether they are used for bad or not. how would you feel if your child witnessed a shooting? banning guns simply means that people aren't in the position to use them for ill when they snap. look at shareef allman. he was a well-respected man and he just snapped. human nature is the reason. guns must be banned.
hiphopheadkingmag 4 months ago
@hiphopheadkingmag
You are a statist with no concept of freedom
RyanR3volution 4 months ago
@RyanR3volution Explain:
Shut the fuck up!
hiphopheadkingmag 4 months ago 2
@hiphopheadkingmag
RyanR3volution 4 months ago
@hiphopheadkingmag I've heard the opposite in stats...my several dozen firearms have killed no one...cept the two from WW2 that probably sent a few Nazis or Japanese soliders to their graves....
RichfromNH 4 months ago
@RichfromNH i can't tell if your joking. if you can prove it, link me and i'll give it to ya'. until then, stop speculating
hiphopheadkingmag 4 months ago
@hiphopheadkingmag No, I'm not joking. First I base it on experience. I live in NH and we have very few gun laws and have very little gun crime. Across the border in Mass, you get all KINDS of crime and gun violence yet they have some of the most strict gun laws in the country. I looked around for stats but had trouble finding unbias stats that gave a clear picture. I went to wikipedia and it referenced the Bureau for Justice statistics. NH was the lowest for the year analyzed.
RichfromNH 3 months ago
@hiphopheadkingmag To give an idea of how free NH is, at lunch one day I decided I was going to by my AK-47. After work I swung by the gun store I frequent, picked it out, he called it in, and after chatting, paperwork, I was home in time for dinner with my new rifle. Since then I've been trying to get it to operate how I want and spend more time working on it than shooting it, but it's pretty accurate for an AK...and I think my most recent modifications will get it running smoothly. :)
RichfromNH 3 months ago

A concealed weapon with a 30 round magazine? No such thing exists. What will they make up next? The problem with anti-gunners is that they literally don't know what they're talking about. They literally don't know hardly anything about firearms, the kinds, their use, how they are made, what they can or can't do, what they cost, how they work, and on and on...
JAndersonIV 6 months ago
@JAndersonIV i own several firearms hwvr most folks, white black &brown DO NOT respect the power of their weapon.Statistics show that ones more likely to be killed during a robbery by their own weapon than anything else.Saw a story about some white trash hillbilly that left his loaded weapon on the kitchen table after getting spooked by a noise made by a cat in his garden. His stepdaughter shot herself in the face with it while eating a bowl of cereal at breakfast the following a.m...Charge him
newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev Statistics show? What statistics? Would like to see a reputable report on that. This is exactly what I am talking about. And I honestly don't mean to be rude, but your account doesn't have any videos so it's hard to see your credibility.
JAndersonIV 6 months ago
@JAndersonIV didnt know i had to have uploaded videos to have credibility even an opinion. google newscientist 17922 Carrying gun increases risk killed ... I actually own several firearms however unlike the white trash hillbillies commenting on this page I respect my weapons. when i leave my residence the guns are locked down in my safe room.I dont want citizens carrying concealed weapons as i know what most gun owners are like...i dont feel safe with local COPS having guns
newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev With no videos, no one knows who you are. You could be a 12yr old girl for all we know. You may not even own guns like you claim. Most gun owners are NOT "white trash hillbillies" as you claim. That is a stupid stereotype. And you can stop citizens from carrying but not criminals. I'd rather be able to protect myself. The right to carry arms has been a part of America's constitution since its inception. If you don't feel safe here, you can go to a country where guns are illegal.
JAndersonIV 6 months ago
@JAndersonIV Fine argue with me over the demographics.youre right im 13, named Fatima and living in a cave just south of Baghdad..I dont need to share videos with ppl to have an opinion. last time i checked that right was covered in the 1st amendment...as i said if you want to own a gun you better take some responsibility.if someones shot with your weapon...you should be held accountable.theres nothing wrong with that. i just know far too many idiots with guns for my liking.peace
newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev Exactly. You have the right to say anything you want. I never said you couldn't. I just have the right to debate with you. And unless you build your credibility, no one will listen to what you have to say. If you want to debate something successfully, you have to be credible. I own multiple guns, and carry multiple guns. I haven't had a single problem yet, and I know the responsibility it takes. Sorry you know idiots with guns, but they aren't a part of the gun community.
JAndersonIV 6 months ago
@JAndersonIV The US has 6-10X the gun crime per capita than any other western nation.Almost half of all gun crime is committed with legally purchased firearms. This loughner character as well as the folks who shot up columbine bought their weapons legally. Are they part of your gun community? How about Charles wHITMAN?Major Nidal Malik Hasan?or Tim McVeigh? They all legally owned firearms, all but one committed mass murder with them and all were unstable&irresponsible.im playing devils advocate
newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev Wrong. The Columbine kids engaged in a straw purchase for their firearms. Which is illegal. They also illegally modified their weapons and made homemade bombs. Homemade explosives and sawn off shotguns are against the law, but did that stop them? No. I don't know enough to comment on the others but I'd assume they are similar situations. Criminals will get guns no matter what the law says. As a citizen knowing the police can't be everywhere at once, I have the right to protect myse

newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev That's a moot point. If these men made it through the military without anyone noticing their problems then how could you expect to stop them? Even if they couldn't buy them legally they would have gotten the guns anyways. You have to agree with that much at least. Restricting firearms only stops the good, law-abiding citizens from buying them. Someone planning on committing murder isn't worried about whether or not his/her murder weapon was legally purchased.
JAndersonIV 6 months ago
@JAndersonIV 2 of the killers i mentioned were civilians with legally purchased firearms.i do agree criminals will find guns regardless of whether theyre legal or not.i just have issues with the gun culture engrained in our society, especially with people that buy firearms legally and are irresponsible with them.my point was if u buy a gun you ahve to be held accountable.if your daughter shoots herself in the face you get locked up.that was my primary point
newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev Oh, well that's certainly something I can agree with. And as someone who considers himself "in the gun community" and who is clearly passionate about the topic, let me just say that there is nothing we (pro 2nd Amendment types) hate more than irresponsible people with guns. While I do believe we all have the right to defend ourselves, I do not believe anyone has the right to senselessly endanger others or take a life that is not necessary to save one's own.
JAndersonIV 6 months ago
@JAndersonIV If the vast majority of gun owners were responsible then we wouldnt have so many instances of accidental shootings.last yr there were 52447 deliberate and 23237 accidental non-fatal gunshot injuries. If almost half the injuries were a result of accidental shootings what does that tell about folks who own guns?
newjerseydev 6 months ago
@newjerseydev It tells me your statistics aren't coming from a good source. And as fun as this has been, I'm really done with the debate. Clearly I am willing to concede points and be reasonable but you are not. If you really believe everything you are saying then it is extremely hypocritical that you also claim to own firearms yourself. If you feel so endangered, sell your guns and move to Singapore. Having any kind of weapon there yields the death penalty. So they're all unarmed over there.
JAndersonIV 6 months ago

If they outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns. Is that what you want?
Richieboguess 10 months ago

So should we out law all of the above?

a misspelled word is not comparable to the loss of 30 lives in a few seconds though, so not a good comparison. so "coolhandluke," should we go hand loughner another weapon since it is his right under the constitution? would you be for or against that. just curious.
coffeescup 8 months ago
@coffeescup It's an analogy, so no shit its not comparable. But placing the blame on the gun and not the bat-shit crazy guy, and blaming the pencil are comparable. The problem is not the guns, its the people using the guns. Whether he shoots someone, or uses a different weapon, he still has a desire to harm someone. There are millions of gun owners who will never have a single confrontation with their guns. And its CoolHandLOC sweetheart.

@dljc1979 yea yea yea anyone who disagrees with the Republican Party hates America. We've been hearing that shit from Fucks News since 2003, get some new material. And if you guys are soooooooooo paychreeawtick, why did you deny benefits to 9/11 first responders? I thought that was the GOP's personal tragedy to milk and exploit, the least they could do is pretend to care about those involved.
roguetrip99 11 months ago
this guy was an independent , wasn't involved in politics.. why do people get partisan on such a tragedy? grow up

@777Lazerus WTF so Loughner killed those people with his mind, LOL most stupidest thing I have ever heard

It's time we did the sensible, decent thing and enforced meaningful background checks and banned high capacity clips. Neither action should be viewed as a threat to 2nd amendment rights. Please check out my video..."culture of violence."

You can tell that by the end of the interview Ed had his feelings hurt. He looked so confounded and ashamed of himself by Joe's realistic answers.

did anyone here about the guy in new york who stabbed three people to death in a matter of minutes, then later in the week he killed another person.... lets ban knives and anything sharp and pointy

Kids who are taught how to handle a gun early on are the least likely people to ever shoot somebody. Killing people if definitely "alright" in the correct circumstances if you can't see that you are a moral midget.

That's fine. No one's forcing you to carry weapons.

TheVoiceOfReason93 1 year ago
@TheVoiceOfReason93
Well, you're certainly free to write a message to Ed Schultz about how he shouldn't be trying to distract the government with the gun debate.
EuphrasieF 1 year ago

TheBullionBull 1 year ago
It's like marijuana. People still do it even though it's illegal, but like guns, if you made them MORE illegal or made MORE laws, strict laws, they would be less out of control, and less people would get ahold of guns or weed
coyote7272 1 year ago
Dumbshit Ed didn't argue with Joe when he said he would use his gun to DEFEND someone else. I guess guns are used to DEFEND, you dumbshit Ed.

Mexico has very strict gun laws look how its working for them! Does anyone really believe that the criminals will give up there guns? No they will rejoice in the fact that they will go unopposed when they break into your house with the gun they did not turn in.
