kool setup..you knoe female bettas only release there eggs unbred when they are overloaded with eggs....my female did it like 2-4 times cuz i kept feeding her alot of bloodworms so that made her have tons of eggs...
Use something other than a chimney b/c it messes with the top of the water--breaks apart bubble nest. Try getting a beanie baby box, cut the bottom 1/16th off and drill 5/8th holes all over the box. For me this helps...try the Thai method as well. bettas-dojo daaht kom for more info
hey there, i was wondering where and how did you get those 3 rectangle containers next to your spawning tank? those looks great. i would like to get some please let me know! thanks!
i sugest you to lower your spawnning tanks to like 3"-5" so itll be easier for the male to breed. because it wont work your male so hard. ive only been into betta for only 6 weeks now. and ive already have my 4th batch growing. so far i sucess in breeding same pair 3 times already 9-10 days apart from each batch of layed eggs. message me if u like some pointers. no vids because my cpu + vista windows wont let me upload any vids
The level was at about 6" and by the time they actually spawned some evaporated. I'm not sure I would breed the same fish over and over...especially 10 days apart. The spawning takes a bunch out of them and they need time to recover and rest.
nah my pair seems to do fine =D.. they rest enough =D if i already done it 3 x a month =D.. and they seem fine and females is already ready to breed again =D
yeah, but you can't really watch your fish in a dark bucket! I enjoy watching my animals. And, although I don't take your simple approach, i can control the evironment of the tank and get more consistency in the breeding. Lastly as you said, I have a nice set up that looks good. These are the reasons I did this and it works. I think you suck if you raise your fish in a bucket, but good luck with that.
Wow, is it ok to keep more then one females together? How do you know when there ready to breed?

You're right, I do cover the tank when I actually spawn and have fry, but for the video I was just showing what I do for a set up.
