During that election, there was a record number of people that came out and voted. The highest numbers this country has had in decades. During that election, there was a record number of people that came out and voted. The highest numbers this country has had in decades. Which mean the turn out of people reflects the feeling of the country more than any other election.

@aleerarose I'm american and I agree. It doesn't matter who is president,I would never want a president to "fail' even if they and I disagree politically. Part of what the "united" states was supposed to be about was having to ability and example of a place where animosity was discouraged,and having the ability to work with different people.
I've gotten so sick of politics,there is so much disrespect and intolerance,and people are ok with that behavior. The "United" states capable of much more.

@aleerarose You folks are assuming that the president succeeding and the country "bettering" are one and the same. Example: Obama "succeeded" in pushing a healthcare bill, but because of its increased tax burden on businesses, they are cutting spending with lay-offs of employees that can ill-afford it, freezing investments into the economy, and passing the expense of the tax burden on to the consumer through their products and services. I wish he would've failed, rather see the country succeed.

@Deverek82would you want a republican to fail if he wants to lower taxes to stimulate the economy to expand the tax base , or lower corporate tax rate to reduce unemployment, or reduce entitlements to those who don't pay into the system [healthcare as one example] , or expand our defense budget in the age of terroism? @leonarddaccardi lol The similarities between republicans and democrats is that they both teach their grown civilians and their kids to have animosity, vengeance and bad communication towards and with others. Honestly, that is what I know, and see. So why would I support any one of them? And call me whatever you want, but I have the right to be or not to be involved in those two specific political parties just as much you or anyone else does. the dems and repubs think they get all the rights.
