  • obviously the guy who made this is from los angeles

  • What about John Stockton?

That guy was beastly during the 80s and 90s...most career assists and steals.

    Not a bad list though.

  • Jordan is a beast but to be honest it's a tie for #1 with Magic and Jordan.

Jordan and Johnson are the greatest in the world!

Magic with 40+ points in a Finals game as a Rookie!

Jordan 6 Championships and scoring 30+ with a flu!

Kobe is a good player with a hopeful HOF future but I still think he needs 2 more rings to be on the list of greatest!

PS LeChoke James needs to stop choking!

  • You forgot to mention jerry west put up those numbers without the addition of a 3 point line.

  • anybody heard of Jerry West? The guy never had a season I think where he averaged less then 20 points.....and he just might be the logo of the NBA then here......

  • Michael Jordan

    then KOBE

    you people are trippin!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1. Mike J 2. Kareem 3. Magic 4. Russell 5. Larry Legend 6. Wilt 7. Tim Duncan 8. Kobe 9. The Logo 10. Oscar HM...Hakeem, Shaq, Moses, JOHN HAVLICEK, Elgin Baylor
  • @nuzzinaples23 Kobe is numer 11 or 15 but good list.

  • i would not put shaq in that mix because he could only dunk the ball

  • 1. Michael Jordan 2. Magic Johnson 3. Bill Russell 4. Larry Bird 5. Wilt Chamberlain 6. Kareem Abdul Jabbar 7. Hakeem Olajuwon 8. LeBron James 9.Karl Malone 10.Oscar Robertson 11.Tim Duncan12.John Stockton13.Jerry West14.David Robinson15.DwayneWade16.Julius Erving17.Patrick Ewing18.KevinGarnett19.Pete Maravich20.Kobe Bryant
  • @esTebanLRD

    Are you fucking kidding me!

    LeBron higher then kobe?

    LeBron is a choker!

  • 10. Tim Duncan

    9. Oscar Robertson

    8. Shaquille O'Neal

    7. Kobe Bryant (By the end of his career might be 3 or 2)

    6. Wilt Chamberlain

    5. Bill Russell

    4. Larry Bird

    3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

    2. Magic Johnson

    1. Michael Jordan

  • lol shaq sucks dick all he can do is dunk he misses everything even free throws

  • You've obviously been watching basketball for like 1 year.

  • @Manx17 what i meant by that is now. back then he was ok he wasnt amzeing but he was good

  • @XxXbigstarXx Well obviously he sucks now...he's been in the league since 1992! You say he misses everything "even" free throws, but that's about the only thing he misses because all he has to do is back his man in and dunk. I was actually surprised at how well he did last year at his age (and weight)...I would've thought he'd break down by then.

Look at his career stats, they're comparable to Kareem's (note I said comparable, not equal, Kareem fans), and he has longevity too. He was a monster

  • @Manx17 dont even compare kareem or magic johnson to shaq personlay i dont like shaq

  • @Manx17 you know what fuck you you dont kow shit abou basketball ovbiously 2 camels in a tiny car

  • TTwice90

Oscar Roberston wold not make any NBA team roster? Are you kidding or just totally ignorant?

Perhap you are factoring in the fact he is in his 70's, so he probably has lost a step from his playing days.

But if you could take him at his prime and time warp him to today - I'd take him over just about anyone playing today.

  • NON ACTIVE* JABBAR, WILT, JORDAN, OSCAR, VANDEWEGHE, KARL MALONE, RICK BARRY, GERVIN, BIRD, MAGIC............bonuses: bernard king reggie miller kevin mchale calvin murphy adrian dantley

  • Kiki Vandeweghe is very underrated. But top ten all time? I had to laugh at this list, it is very unexpected.

  • make way for lebron

  • True.

  • wheres hakeem

  • kareem only 6?

he should be at least 3.

  • Didn't Johnson said Jordan was the best ever?

  • Hah, do you really think for example Oscar Robertson is better than Kobe Bryant?? He's worse than every player who currently play in NBA. For me it seems he even can't dribble the ball without watching it. And he was slow and had terrible shot. Don't compare him to 1990 and 2000s players. Players in 60s and 70s were much worse.

  • You've got to be kidding. The Big O was definitely better than Kobe and just about anybody else playing today. Kobe is a great player but Oscar and Jerry West were in a class by themselves. Wilt is the greatest of all time followed by Russell and who ever else you wish to pick after that.

  • "The Big O was definitely better than Kobe". I wonder how can one say that lmao. There is no NBA team in which "The Big O" would make it to the roster.

  • whats you peoples opinions?

    Who is more clutch?

    Jerry West or Kobe Bryant

  • From a basketball junkie since the 60's here's my list:

    1-Lebron-not now but later

2-The Big O's triple double average for a season but mainly rebounding strength edges 3-MJ by a razors edge 4-Wilt the Stilt's 100 in a game, 50ppg season and 30&22 boards/gm career most dominant ever 4-Only onePistol Pete changed the game forever 5-Larry cold blood Bird 6-Magic took Pistols game and ran with it 7-Bill Walton injuries killed but best overall big man 8-Lew/Kareem 9-kobe over West, DrJ & Russell

  • LOLOL you just put Lebron as your #1 over amazing players like Wilt,Russell, Jabar, West, and MJ based on what you THINK he's going to do? Wow if anyone finds anything you just said credible they need their brains examined. You sir are a disgrace. Who the hell makes a list of greatest players based on a guess of what you think someone will end up like, especially someone as young as Lebron. Wow

  • Lebron has the best combination of size, power, speed, quickness and talent of anybody you can name. Barring injury he will be the best ever-he's well on his way already. I grew up watching Oscar, Wilt and Russell. I've seen plenty of great players that you've never heard of and I can guarantee you any of them would be very happy to play with Lebron. I'm sorry you're so unhappy with life you can get so worked up about such a trivial dialogue about basketball to call me a disgrace. Get a life.

  • What will happen lose all of them skill by age where would he be? that destingush great from legendary

  • @ LeaveItUpToWeezyBaby

I have to agree with you regarding guitarmanfan's prediction about Lebron's potential as a player. He's seriously overrated, and will never be a superior player to MJ, Magic, Kobe, or Kareem. To even say such a thing is totally ridiculous.

  • I don't see how people can put Kareem so low on the list when no one in basketball can compare with his stats. If you are not going by stats what are you going by? He also was a winner on all levels before he got in the NBA. So if he is not the greatest that what are people looking at?

  • So was Jordan.

  • where is the doctor?

  • my top 10: 10.Jason Kidd 9.Pete Maravich 8.Jerry West 7.Kobe Bryant 6.Bill Russel 5.Kareem Abdul Jabbar 4.Wilt Chamberlain 3.Larry Bird 2.Magic Johnson 1.Michael Jordan In my opinion, other big names are: Baylor, Cousy, Dr.J, Petrovic, Nash.
  • Kidd and Maravich are a little bit high, but other than that it's not a bad list.

  • Um dude to put Jkidd that high is embarrassing. First of all Isaiah. Then I'll take Barkley, Hakeem, Shaq, Malone, Stockton the big O, actually i have too many. Having Jkidd top 10 is the most absurd shiet i've ever heard.

  • great top 10

  • larry bird ent the best but hes the best white man to play the game

  • sigh

  • Best 10 retired players not in any particular order : Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Bob Pettit, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

  • There's a few players I would put before Pettit, but otherwise I agree with that list. Elgin Baylor is very underrated

  • Kobe definately not #2 or #1 or even in top 10, you kids dont know anything about basketball other than what you see today on TV. ~Top 10~ 1. Michael Jordan 2. Larry Bird 3. Magic Johnson 4. Wilt Chamberlain 5. Dr. J 6. Kareem 7. Bill Russel 8. Oscar Robertson 9.Jerry West 10. "Pistol Pete" Maravich
  • wat the hell are you talking about none of those player on that liost can do what kobe does except for jordan and jordan cant score 40+pts and average 30+ with a broken finger!!!!!!!!!!

  • but he can score 38 with a stomach flu.

kopy can't do the things that jordan did

  • what about bob cousy? he made the NBA what it is today

  • 1. MJ 2. LeBRON James 3. kobe....

  • 10. LeBron James

    9. Shaquille O'Neal

    8. Dr. Julius Erving

    3. Kareem Abdul Jabar

    2. Kobe Bryant

    1. Michael Jordan

  • Comment removed

  • Wilt Chamberlain --> Best player ever

    HE IS THE RECORDMAN.

    Period

  • @Pirotecnicoreturns mi penis is better, and Michael Jordan is better than me.

  • 1. Michael Jordan

    2. Kobe Brant

    3. Magic Johnson

    4. Wilt Chamberlin

    5. Bill Russel

    6. Shaq

    7. Kareem Abdul Jabbar

    8. Larry Bird

    9. Jerry West

    10. Rick Barry

  • well this list is arguable (though I disagree on the order) except shaq needs to be higher, regardless of the logic. come on people! for a decade, every playoff team was basing their entire draft/trade/sign policy around matching up to o'neill. don't you remember?

also, you have to decide if, and by how much, the nba has improved over the years. if you decide you can't compare eras entirely, mikan has to be top ten (even if most concede he'd be a journeyman today).

    Lastly: Tim Duncan

  • Very arguable! i totally agree on improvement of the game!!

  • Kobe?

    Shaq?

Great but not top 10 especially Shaq?

  • kobe bryants the best in the world right now

  • kobe? not in top 10? are you on shrooms? he should be in the top 1

  • Where is Pistol Pete Maravich? When Maravich played there wasn't three point line. With the three point line he could have achieved 40 points per game. He was unlucky because he always played in small teams. Barkley also deserves to be among the bests.

  • that is silly

  • Um..where MJ!??? how did you forget him...?

  • haha this is the worst list i ever seen

  • Is that MJ at 10? You have got to be f#cking kidding me. You really would rather have any of those players in their prime besides Jordan?

  • Damn man, i still cant stop admiring kareem's sky hook. However i think that jerry west should have been put up much higher. Dont bash me, it's just what i think.

  • i agree

  • No bashing. West is the man. What's awesome in this video is how Wilt actually blocked Kareem's skyhook, twice. That's Wilt, blocking basically the most unstoppable basketball move ever, twice in one play

  • ETMs list 1.Micheal Jordan 2.Kareem Abdul Jabbar 3.Larry Bird 4.Magic Johnson 5.Oscar Robertson 6.Bill Russell 7.Wilt Chamberlain 8.Jerry West 9.Elgin Baylor 10.Akeem Olajawon

  • Stats, Chips, and "Clutchness" are things that pop to mind when considering "GOAT" . Do you realize that Russ' career high fg% is .457? Jordan never had a year in Chicago that low, and Bill's a center! Bill's % were close or below league avg. Would I give Russ the ball in a close gamein the las minute? If I was the opposing coach, then heck Yeah! Jordan was the most dominating statistical player of his generation, Russ not close. I get the feeling players then were scared of C's not Russ.

  • I see your point. Russell was never known for his offense. He was known for his defense, which any coach will tell you, is what wins games. Unlike these centers today who swat the ball in the stands, then celebrate, Russell blocked the shot, and stole the ball. I watched MJ play his entire career from college to retirement. I was dazzled by his style and was caught in the hype and I hate Boston, but I respectfully disagree with him being the GOAT.

  • I disagree with you, sir. Players of that era were most definitely scared of Russell, AND scared of the Celtics.

  • theres more to basketball than stats. look at what russ brought to the locker room, the time out huddles. when u can come up with a stat to measure that u'll find he's off the chart

  • 1. Jordan

    2.Russell

    3.Magic

    4.Bird

    5.Shaq

    6.Jabbar

    7.Kobe

    8.Duncan

    9.Wilt

    10. Oscar-Lebron soon

  • Why does Oscar Robertson get a free pass for being the second best player(statistcally) in his lone championship year, while Kobe's greatness was in question till he got his first without Shaq?

  • very good point.

  • 1. Jordan

    2. magic

    3. wilt

    4. bird

    5. oscar robertson

    6. russell

    7. pistol pete

    8. kareem abdul

    9. kobe bryant

    10. dominique wilkins

  • 1. Jordan

    2. Wilt

    3. Bird

    4. Magic

    5. West

    6. O'neal

    7. Baylor

    8. Russell

    9.Kareem

    10. Bryant

  • Bill Russell, in summary: Won 2 college championships and had a 55 game winning streak; won a Gold Medal, in 13 seasons in the NBA, he won 11 championships(the 2 he did not win he made the finals, and the conference finals), and he won 8 straight championships (an octo-peat)....almost forgot, 2 of the championships he served as the head coach, and player....The NBA Finals MVP trophy is in his name now.

  • wheres pete maravich men?

  • pete was a great player but he cant be in the top 10.

  • loslos nemo ACelloFella. jordan is the best of all time. ashole and moron

  • Jordan is one of the best, and arguably the most fun to watch. But Russell, Wilt, Oscar Robertson, Kareem..though u may not have the fancy moves, the accomplishments are better than MJ....Ex. Oscar Robertson avg. a triple double for FIVE seasons. Has a career total of 181, MJ has only 30....Russell has the same amt. of MVPs MJ has, but with 11 rings, and he also led his college team to 2 titles, MJ never led his college team to the championship....I could go on, and on. Stop looking at style

  • None of those players accomplishments are better than MJ's, that's why you have to mention them collectively to match up with what Jordan did. Scoring, overall stats, defense, Mvps, being clutch, Championships, etc.. No one in history has ever put it all together in MJ's level, let alone do it with such style.

  • I respectfully disagree. Russell has my vote. He has the same # of MVPs as MJ, is considered the best ever defensive player in NBA history. Championships? Please 11 NBA, 2 College. Where MJ has him in scoring, Russell has it in rebounding. The man is a pure winner....

  • # of seasons in NBA BR 13 MJ 15, # of NBA Rings BR 11 MJ 6, # of conf. champs. BR 10 MJ 6, # times he failing to make conf. finals BR ZERO MJ 7, # times failing to make playoffs BR ZERO MJ 2, # of losing records BR ZERO MJ 5

  • When MJ retired in '93 his team was 57-25. They went 55-27 without him in "94....When Bill Russell retired, the Celtics went from NBA Champion to not making the playoffs.......BR without Cousy for 6 seasons got 5 rings, 1 MVP, 5 NBA Finals, 2 Best NBA records....MJ without Pippen for 5 seasons got ZERO rings, ZERO MVPs, ZERO NBA Finals, and ZERO Best NBA records...

  • Yes but the '99 Bulls were one of the worst teams in NBA history. Interesting fact: the '70 Celtics and the '99 Bulls are the ONLY two teams in NBA history to go from winning a championship to not making the playoffs the next season. Shows you the impact of those two players.

  • BR first 3 NBA years: 2 Rings, 1 MVP, 3 NBA Finals, 3 Best Rec., 23-9 playoff record.....MJ first 3 NBA years: ZERO rings, ZERO MVPs, ZERO NBA Finals, ZERO Best rec., 1-9 playoff rec., 3 losing records......I love MJ, but I disagree with him being the all-time GOAT...

  • If the criteria I was using for GOAT was only team success and Chips, then hands down Russell would be the GOAT. Then we could consider Robert Horry, Michael Cooper, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, and alot of Celtics amongst the all-time greats. I do consider individual brilliance though. I believe Nique and Charles are greater than Horry and Harper despite the lack of team success. I've never seen Russell play except for a few highlights. Judging from common criteria, I can't put Russell above MJ.

  • Good point. Is Sam Jones better than Michael Jordan? He won 10 championships with the Celtics.

Championships need to be weighted by the overall impact the player had in winning them. This is why Russell cannot be considered better than Jordan, or than Chamberlain. Championships do matter, but they need to be taken in context.

  • That is exactly why I cannot put MJ at the top. If he would have led a mediocre team to the title, I would give him that prop. Even Lebron and Magic have led mediocre teams to the finals. Lebron almost did it twice. That Bulls team was awesome....If MJ, who is ranked at being the 13th best NCAA player, led UNC to the final, I would give him his props. That is what seems to be missing for my vote. Russell coached and played to 2 NBA rings. Led his college team to back-back titles.

  • ?

Sure, Dennis Rodman was a sick defender, and you had the occasional Horace Grant-type earlier on, but the Bulls aside from Jordan and Pippen were anything but a good team. That's why when the two left the team was horrendous, one of the worst teams in NBA history.

If anything an argument like that only serves to strengthen the case for Michael Jordan.

  • I think the major reason why the bulls team was so awesome was because MJ was playing with them. Great players and leaders have the special ability to make his teammates play better. For example, look at rajon rondo, little was know of him in the celts but when ray and KG was brought in, we began to see how good was he, maybe it was because great players do bring out the best of you when they are in your team. This GOAT issue is a very subjective issue if you ask me

  • Russell was at the core of their championships. Not only was he the team leader he was the MVP of their squad. Sam Jones would tell you that.

Russell was the anchor of their defense. He would also start their fastbreak by blocking a shot or grabbing a rebound and whipping the outlet.

What Im trying to explain to you is that it all revolved around Bill. He wasnt a great scorer but he could score. He had games in the finals where he had 30 pts and 40 rebs. God only knows how many he swatted

  • Wow, are you serious about the 40 over rebounds??? 40 rebounds are like the total team rebounds for an entire game, Seriously?

  • ...... 1.MJ 2.Wilt 3.Russel 4.Magic 5.Larry 6.Shaq 7.Oscar 8.Kareem 9.Duncan 10.Jerry
  • Holy crap ur list is fucked up. Why is Shaq before KAREEM? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? AND OSCAR?! Where's Kobe in the list? I say Kobe is more of a player than Duncan, tho u used the art of the backboard like no other.

  • the graps are crap

  • Should be

    1. Bill Russell

    2. Wilt Chamberlain

    3. Oscar Robertson

    4. Kareem Adbul Jabbar

    5. Michael Jordan

All 4 above MJ have easy arguments as to why they are above Jordan.

  • Bill Russell did not won 11 rings by himself. If you watched any game of Boston Celtics from the 60's you would see that they had one hell of a team.

  • Never said he did.

  • i beg to disagree @ACelloFella. you said "MJ never led his college team to the championship" but he was the one who took the most important shot that led his college team to a championship ring. he was a sophomore then but he took responsibility and made it. THATS HOW LEGENDS ARE BORN. be cognizant about that moron... dont be too narrow minded. that's why he is called the greatest. everybody calls him the greatest and not the persons youre naming. thats majority standpoint, not just mine asshole

  • Its amazing the emotions that are stirred up that lead to childish name calling when one disagrees with another over, of all things, BASKETBALL....Anyway, the fact still remains that he never LED his team to a NCAA title. The narrow minded are those too quick to think it is laughable to have Bill Russell in the GOAT argument. I respect your opinion on MJ though I disagree with it, so lets leave it at that. Thank goodness there are mature people that can debate without being emotional. Peace.

  • of all things BASKETBALL?? of course we are talking of basketball here asshole.. he may never led his NCAA team but he was on the verge to be the greatest basketball player and he was. You are the one talking about GOAT thingy asshole. i did not consider bill as GOAT. What i mean he cannot surpass MJ..never not a wink. you are talking about maturity? LOOK WHO'S TALKING...

you always have a comment on every single account here who likes MJ, not just me. where is your maturity you monkey...sigh!

  • Notice how 6 of the 10 players are former Lakers. Best franchise ever in the NBA!!!

  • PG.Magic Johnson

    SG.Micheal Jordan

    SF.Larry Bird

    PF.Kevin Garnett

    C.Wilt Chamberlin

  • i agree everything accept garnett,in my opinion pf should be karl malone.

  • I say that Garnett is mroe athletic than malone...and i rather have Russell has my center. Sure Chamberlin gots some pretty good stats, but i think of Russell like Duncan: a solid post player and good leadership

  • u forgot dr j and hakeem oljauwon

  • dr. j. was one of the best but he should not be in the top 10,top 20 maybe.

  • I gotta say Clyde and Hakeem too since i'm a die hard Rockets fan.

  • i think lebron is going to be number one if he keeps getting better

  • Shaq should not behind Kobe shaq has tfour rings like Kobe but Kobe has one Finals MVP Shaq has three

  • Shaq was certainly better than Kobe during the first three championships, but not by much and Kobe has been considered one of the top 1, 2 or 3 players in the world consistently for almost a decade now, which is more than can be said for Shaq at any point.

  • All time:

    PG: Magic Johnson

    SG: Michael Jordan

    SF: Julius Erving

    PF: Kevin Garnett

    C: Wilt Chamberlain

Now: PG: Deron Williams SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Lebron James

PF: Carmelo Anthony C: Dwight Howard

  • deron williams wth heck no chris paul i am not biased or maybe steve nash he had atleast 2 MVPs

  • Yes, but I could put nash on the list 3/4 years ago when he was at he top of the biz... I don't think that NOW nash is the best point guard in the nba...

  • All Time: PG- Oscar Robertson SG- Kobe Bryant SF- Julius Erving PF- Kevin Garnett C- Wilt Chamberlain ***NOW*** PG- Deron Williams SG- Dwyane Wade SF- Carmelo Anthony PF- Tim Duncan C- Yao Ming ***ALL 2nd TEAM!!!!***
  • All Time: PG- Magic Johnson SG- Michael Jordan SF- Larry Bird PF- Tim Duncan C- Bill Russell ---Now--- PG- Chris Paul SG- Kobe Bryant SF- LeBron James PF- Kevin Garnett *HES BETTER THAN DUNCAN NOW C- Dwight Howard ** ALL 1st TEAM!!!***
  • I now regard Kobe as the 9th best player in history. Shaq has been moved to 10th on my all-time list.

  • Kobe unstoppable? YOu kidding right. lol

  • How could lebron be in top 10 he hasnt won shit!

  • kobe over michael, jerry over wilt viper ur confused seriously.

  • 10 lebron james

    9 dwane wade

    8. bill russel

    7 wilt chamberlain

    6 jerry west

    5 larry bird

    4. kareem abdul jabbar

    3. magic johnson

    2 michael jordan

    1 kobe bryant

  • no way this list is ridiculously inaccurate

  • viper list is bbad but you probably think putting kobe ahead of jordan is the biggest flaw but i can tell you why it isnt that big. ok kobe won three with sha

  • yeah viper has a bad list but you probably think that kobe being 1 is the biggest flaw but i will tell you why it isnt. ok mj won his title 91,92,93,96,97,98. he won with pippen for all his titles, and rodman the last three, he never won on a team all by himself, like kobe just did. mj played in the league when he had just lost magic and bird and teams that were great like the pistons, c's, and lakers, werent nearly as good. he beat teams like the jazz, portland, indiana, knicks, and so on

  • mj played against fairly bad competition and players back in the 90s werent nearly as good as the players of the last 10 years. and the last bad thing about mj was when he came back he was not anything close to an all star just the fans loved him so the voted him in. now will talk about kobe. kobe won his first 3 with shaq and yeah shaq was better than but those were kobes first 5 years and the played not that good of competition but better than jordans. kobe used to have bad attitude toard team

  • "mj played against fairly bad competition and players back in the 90s werent nearly as good as the players of the last 10 years."

    god damn what a moron.

  • I agree with most of what u are saying. I would say the competition MJ played against was not as athletic as he was. MJ was the ONLY one of his kind when he entered the NBA. Never had the NBA had a tall guard with handles, shooting, defense, and athleticism, so he took advantage of that, and was hyped up by the media because he was so entertaining..BUT hell, the NBA are full of his types now, with the top 3 being(Kobe, Lebron, and D. Wade) Any of these 3 would have easily dominated in MJs era

  • I totally agree. I don't know all this hype about Kobe not being MJ...well...MJ is not Kobe is either. If Kobe, Lebron, and D Wade played during MJ's time, he would've never been so dominate as he was

  • haha bunch of kids, watch young MJ and watch Lebron and you'll see where's the diference.Jordan was simply a higher class.

btw i'm not a MJ fan.

  • Barring any injuries to Lebron he is going to tear up NBA records.....someday he might overcome both kobe and michael.

I am a Bulls fan, but anyone can see that Kobe is unstoppable.

  • take kobe out, holy shit

  • 10. shaq

  • lebron is 3rd? WTF, how bout if he blows his knees tomorrow, or gets in a car accident and dies, is he still thrid? jesus

  • Lebron in the top 10 or 50 for that matter makes no sense. How do u leave out Tim Duncan and put Lebron in there? That is just definitely a person "Pirnce James" love u have going on there.

  • top 10 of all time is dylan dylan dylan dylan and dylan!

  • 10 Tim Duncan

  • This is by far the best list i've seen and accurate based on numbers, accomplishment, and impact as it should be....i commend u on this one.

  • I am sorry but this is bull, Oscar robertson at 7????!?!!? He is top 5 easily

  • my list 1.russell 2.jordan 3.chamberlain 4.abdul jabbar 5.bird 6.johnson 7.robertson 8.west 9.oneal 10.Dr J
  • guys, we cannot put players wu r still active, they can still be greater or be flop..

  • and i cant argue with Russell and Bird being in the top 5, they were TRUE team players with lots of talent.......and yea Windows Movie Maker does suck ass, it always freezes up on me when im almost done making a video

  • i know a lot about the history of the NBA, ive been reading up stuff about past players for years now and stats and everything and i must say that this is the best top 10 list that i have seen on YouTube so far, its pretty accurate but i dont quite agree with Shaq being in the top 10, i would add Hakeem Olajuwon and i would have Kareem in the top 3 probally and its VERY VERY close but i think he was slightly better than Wilt Chamberlain but its about a tie with those 2

  • fuck shaq u think hes better than kobe! ur a piece of shit! shaq would never make the top thousand retard. no one in the right mind would put kobe in #10 and shaq in #9. shaq sucks dix!

  • point guard 1. magic 2.jason kidd 3. cousy4. stockton 5. oscar robertson shooting guard 1.mj 2. kobe 3.jerry west4. clyde drexler 5. kevin mchale

small forward 1.bird 2. baylor 3. julius erving 4. john havelicek 5. pippen power forward 1. barkley 2. hayes 3. karl malone 4. KG 5. tim ducan Center 1. wilt 2.karreem 3. shaq 4. admiral david robinson 5. bill russel and robert parrish

  • dude, u know shit about basketball. especilly at the center position. no wonder you get all the thumbs down! ask the admiral who should be up there. lol

  • I find such lists flawed so I will only go by position...in caps are my "personal"starting 5:

    PG: 1. MAGIC 2.Oscar 3. Isiah 4. Stockton 5. Kidd

    SG: 1. MJ 2. Kobe 3. West 4. Clyde 5. DWade

    SF: 1. Bird 2. R. BARRY 3. Elgin Baylor 4. Dr. J 5. Havlicek

PF: 1. Duncan 2. BARKLEY 3. Elvin Hayes 4. Karl Malone 5. Bob Petit

    C: 1. Kareem 2. OLAJUWON 3. Wilt 4. Shaq 5. Moses Malone

  • Lebron should be #2 on that SF list as much as he is overrated he still is the second best on that list behind Bird, and Maravich should be on SG list where D. Wade is.

  • I'd take Barry over LBJ currently at number 2 SF. A better player performer. LBJ really stunk it up vs. the Spurs in his only Finals appearance....Barry carried San Fran on his back and upset a favoured team in the Finals.

But LBJ will be there. I'll take Wade at number 5.

  • Put Barry in the league today and he would be mediocre at best. If you put LBJ in the time that Barry played in he'd avg a trip-double.

  • "Put Barry in the league today and he would be mediocre at best."

And what makes you think this. Outside of LBJ, there are some good (but not "great" SF's) currently.

  • Okay bro, that's because there aren't pure SF's, they are all Guard-Forward mixes.

  • Like whom? After LBJ comes Pierce and then probably Carmelo.....Rick Barry is better than either Pierce/Carmelo.

  • Kevin Durant ring a bell???? He is a Small Forward/ 2 guard. T-mac is SF/2guard.

  • TMAC is 30 and pretty much finished....never liked this guy, a quitter despite his talent. Houston is doing better w/o him.

Durant that's never won a playoff game or had a +.500 season better than Barry who dominated 2 NBA Finals and won in 75? No way.

  • NBA Finals is a team effort. In my opinion when you compare two players you compare their stats you retard.... a team effort in an NBA finals does not make one single player better than the other.

  • lol where the fuck is olajuwon ? the only player to ever win season mvp, defensif player of the year and mvp finals de same year ? the best shot blocker of all time ? In the top 10 in history for stealin and he is a center.

  • top ten of all time- 1. Darrell Armstrong 2. Elvin Hayes 3. MJ 4. Wilt 5. Bill Russell 6. Oscar robertson 7. Bo Outlaw 8. Pat Garrity 9. Hot Sauce 10. Me
  • i like the list, but i think Hakeem deserves a spot.

  • My "fantasy" starting five of:

    1. Magic-PG

    2. Jordan-SG

    3. Wilt-C

    4. Russell-PF

    5. Bird- SF

would beat any other starting five in history. You've got great perimeter defense with Jordan and size with Johnson. You've got great passing at every position. You've got unbeatable interior defense. You've got outside shooting. You've got low post offense. You've got athleticism and stamina. You've got the highest basketball IQ imaginable. And the other team would get no rebounds.

  • I completely agree with this starting five. Some people give me shit because Russell is a center, but I feel like if you moved him to pf he would play that position better than any power forward has, ever. If you demand a "true" power forward, I would have to go with Duncan.

The only downside to this is there wouldn't be a good high-low dynamic on offense because neither Wilt nor Russell can shoot with any range. This would clog the middle and make it harder for MJ to penetrate. But the D...

  • With Magic and MJ yelling at him, Wilt would hit outside shots!
