Is it me, or does Jay Chou play the same character in EVERYTHING? Shy, quiet guy who falls in love with a sweet, playful lady yet at the same time (not in this movie) another girl likes him alot too? Secret, Initial D and most of his music videos. Couldn't hurt jay to be a little more upbeat and smile a few times during the movie, instead of having his head down, looking bored and staring into space and mumbling his lines?

Technically yes, but probably the chinese werent doing anything as relevant as the japanese do. There always go go go with the next bit of technology or trend or improvement, and the chinese picked up the project instead. More than likely, it was given the go ahead by Suichi Shigeno, so, if its good enough for him (and it surely is since the movie is out and about) It should be good enough for most people.

Everyone has had the thought, 'Initial D would be such an awesome thing if it was done live action'. because these cars, these kinds of people and orginastions and teams exists. Since this was the first movie, the ending shoulda been takumi vs ryosuke. plus all the other races that happened in stage 1 before ryosuke.
