  • i honestly think that people hve become so reliant on cell phones that is is almost impossible to functoin without one. i think that cell phone companies definitely take advantage of this and with the rise of the pre paid unlimited deals out there - contract providers must be squirming in their boots because they are undercutting them massively. with stright talk pre paid you can pay $45 a month for unlimited minutes, text and data! bargain!

  • @tomspeckle They most certianly do my friend, such is the way of capitalism! The only real way to protect yourself against these practices is to not sign a contract. The internet is a tad slower and the phones aren't as fancy but it's the only way to avoid a massive waste of money and being scammed by a contract!

  • AT LAST...... my two year contract is over - no more of that stuff that is in the video. I have now switched to the straighttalk unlimited for $45 a month. This is pure financial freedom as well as talking and texting freedom. I know that I am going to be happy with straighttalk

  • There sure doesn't seem to be any of "this stuff" after all the reviews that I have listened to and read about straighttalk. They seem to be straight down the line with none of the stuff. In the next few days I am off to Walmart to purchase myself a new phone - which is the better of the Nokias to get?

  • @brinnyavrack 6790 baby. It's much cheaper than any of the other smartphones and it works pretty much as well as an iPhone does, but it costs half as much. Highly recommended.

  • A little embarrassing but one of my students actually told me about Straight Talk. I was wondering how these parents were paying for their kids to talk and text (during my class) all day. I picked up the phone at walmart once my contract was up and so far i have nothing but good things to say. The savings is substantial considering how little i had to give up in quality.

  • I have my cellphone which was created without any contract. It is a straighttalk and since I have it and purchase the $45 unlimited card I have saved myself big bucks - over $600 this year! My advice to anyone is to get rid of the contracts and stuff and start saving.

  • After spending $200 to my old cell phone company to cancel the contract, I knew I was done with them. Straight Talk has given me everything I need and more. It has great coverage, great phones and no surprise phone bills. I know what to expect every month and I love it more and more each month.

  • This is one of my favorite commercials on the web, but it also tells the truth. Just got my Nokia 6790 smartphone from Wal-Mart on Black Fridya and I'm going to get them for my entire family this season. You get all of the features of an iphone but for ahalf the cost lol

  • @dolphan127 Ya love this one, it never really gets old. I never really heard of Straight Talk but this sounds like a pretty ridiculous friggin deal because I pay way more on ATT for pretty much the same plan. Have you noticed any other issues with the service?

  • @dolphan127 the new Nokia is the coolest phone I've ever owned and it's hard to believe it's a prepaid phone when you think of the old days when prepaid was the pits! When you add the $45.00 a month unlimited talk, text and data it's a win,win situation all the way!!

  • Straighttalk really has some good offers for their customers. Take the unlimited plan for $45 for 30 days. They really mean unlimited and there are no catches like you get with a contract phone

  • @brezneharrison Yes, you don't need to worry about satisfying the terms of some ridiculous contract if you simply order as much service as you need, in advance, on a month by month basis. And you don't have to worry about the hassle of refilling because you can set it to fill automatically.

  • Introducing the real bargain from straightalk. On black friday you can get a samsung T55 cellphone with a $45 air card for $45 - that means the phone is free. This is going to be an ideal present for my niece who is going across state for a month and doesn't have a cellphone. Merry Xmas

  • It doesn't take a brain surgeon tho realise the savings on straighttalk compared to a contract phone. My contract phone was just so unpredictable with all those little hiding costs. With straighttalk it costs me $ 45 for unlimited usage - what a bargain

  • It is true! straighttalk doen't come with all that ugly creepy crawly stuff. For $45 a month you get 30 days of unlimited time (and its nationwide too) there are no extra creepy costs - $45 is only $45!

  • without a doubt one of the best things of this company besides the savings is the fact that it does not come with a CONTRACT. Besides, they have automatic renewal month to month, so you dont have to live worrying that you need to pay your bill and lets not even talk about the surprises that come inside the bill jaja.

  • I have straighttalk unlimited for $45 a month and believe me it does come without all that stuff that they show in the video. What I have noticed is there is one extra thing that I am getting everymonth since switching to straighttalk and that is MONEY. (I am not going to complain about this monthly addition)

  • Hey bringiton8179, that is a great point that you are making. Old people really need company, and they need to chatter for hours at an end. Straight Talk unlimited is the ideal solution. It is also really important for them to have the phone on them at all times so they can call for help if necessary.

  • The other day my mother was so mad at me and admittedly I let her down. I buy her the $45 Straight Talk unlimited plan every month because she is a pensioner and talking is really the biggest comfort to her in her life next to her cat that never leaves her side. My mother was so depressed for those days she couldn't phone that I registered for automatic monthly top up for the $45 unlimited plan. You don't realize how much people need people to talk to to not feel lonely.

  • Using the Straight Talk $45 unlimited prepaid plan is so cheap that I thought with all the money you save on this plan instead of being on a contract one can rather pay for the Nokia 6790 smartphone CASH within a few months - c'mon who wants a contract these days. The Nokia 6790 is really beautiful & looks different to all the other phones. I really think the techno/hight tech/coputer wizzes will love it & I would love the GPS / voice guide navigation system on there so I don't get lost.

  • @caribeancoctail I agree with you, I got the 6790 myself a few days back and I absolutely love it, it seems like it can do everything that my old iphone used to be able to do but it costs half as much per month.

  • @finsman777 Really? I've got to upgrade then. I'm on Straight Talk and I love it, but I haven't picked up any of the smart phones yet. Glad to hear they work so well.

  • That sounds like such a deal, Straight Talk really is worthwhile. I am on the $45.00 unlimited talk/text/data monthly option and to date I am surprised with the value I have received compared to other service providers.

  • I got myself the Nokia E71 Smart Phone Unlimited Plan with Straight Talk, I recieved the 4GB MicroSD card, Music Player, Free Voice-guide Navigation, Multiple Email Accounts, Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Texting, Unlimited data etc. NOW THAT IS A DEAL.

  • Dudes it's really big news that they just came out with a smartphone. We already knew straightalk was the best option for unlimited at 45 dollars a month but now they have the Nokia 6790 smartphone which even allows multiple email addresses and can browse the entire web. Just 45 dollars still? amazing.

  • Great ad, great plan. My husband and I have been using Straight Talk for a few months, and this month I just switched my daughter over too. She has the Samsung Finesse and loves it. And I love that I only have to pay $45 a month for her, and she can text until she's blue in the face!

  • @DCGal85 I just got my boyfriend to switch over and it's great! We are both saving so much money now and no longer have to count our minutes. It really makes a big difference. Now I've just got to get the rest of my friends and family to join.

  • i was so fed up with "this stuff" that i, at long last, decided to also switch to prepaid, just like it seems the rest of the world. i do not miss it one bit, i couldnt have done better.since i switched to straight talk's unlimited plan for $45 amonth i save a lot of money each month, know every month what my bill is going to be like, have great reception and cellphone freedom at last, where i do not need not care about the length or the time of any of my cell phone conversations. happy customer

  • A contract for 2 yrs.? No madam, we don't have that...I went ahead and purchase a Straight Talk Unlimited at walmart and am so very happy. Looking back at every bill sent by the old cell company just made me sick to my stomach all the money I spent. Please go right away to the nearest walmart or order Straight Talk online. For just $45 a month, yes only that, you are covered on all the features that used to cost you lots.

  • It really is everything you need in a cellphone without a contract. Why bother on signing a 3 year contract with a service provider when you ARE going to hidden fees and if you want to stop the contract, you have to dish out $200 on a cancellation fee. Straight talk is where it's at...

  • I feel quite nausius when I think I was on a contract for so long and that had I been on Straight talk unlimited for only $45 that I could have started saving $50 a month a much longer time ago. I only found out about this program when my dad bought me a Straight Talk phone and $45 plan for my birthday and now I'm thrilled that I can phone, text & web for as long and for as much as I like. I think my dad just wanted me to stay in touch with him regularly since we've moved to another state.

  • straight talk is offering such a great deal and value for money, i feel sorry for anyone still being on contract. contracts are definately outdated now, and prepaid is the only way to go. $30 or $45 a month, seems savings are guaranteed with straight talk, i got the $45 a month unlimited plan, which suits me perfectly as i use my phone a lot, and not only do i save, i have no more dropped calls, no overages, no hidden fees or worries about month end surprise bills either.

  • I am soo happy with my straight talk plan with no contracts and no monthly bills! I can't believe the value I am getting with this cellphone!

  • so glad i no longer have to deal with"this stuff". been on straight talk's unlimited plan for $45 a month for a while and can not imagine ever having to live without it again. contracts are history for me.never again.the reception with straight talk is great and they do not charge extra for long distance either. got the cheaper plan for my kids, and hear no complaints from their side either. pure bliss in the household, for we no longer argue about overspending on their phonebills. peace at last

  • Straight Talk is the cellphone company I'm currently under and I love it. My cousin got me into it after my uncle got him his own phone from said company. Now we both pay only 45 bucks a month for all the texting, talking, and web we want.

  • Hilarious commercial. But yeah I just switched to straight talk and I can't imagine any complaints I would have. I'm paying over 50 dollars less per month and i dont feel restircted at all. Plus its comforting to know that I dont have to worry about a contract and can order exactly as much service as I need each month,.

  • I have to agree with everyone here. They are so good. It's cheap but no one can tell when you call them so the secret savings is yours! Really, paying 30 dollers for talking and texting (1,000 each) is amazing!

  • StraightTalk is a great deal. I got this at walmart. For $45 there is a month of being connected and with that comes the great deal of unlimited talk, text and web nationwide. Now, I dont understand why anyone would want to use anything else. I am very happy and have saved a lot of bucks

  • yeah, thats it. just great. saw plenty ads about straight talk, and wasnt sure i could believe it, so went and checked it all out at walmart. ended up going home with a new phone for $19.99, the cheapest option at the time and a Straight talk plan for $45 a month which gives me unlimted talk, text and web access for 30 days. am eyeballing the samsung finesse which i also saw at walmart. once i accumulate my savings from switching to straight talk, i will go back to walmart and get it.

  • Great add, spells it out plain and simple, straight talk really does leave all the bad stuff and extra charges out and includes all the great stuff, like cheap minutes and texts and awesome coverage...

  • Great commerical! Straight Talk really is a no nonsense type of company where you pay for what you get and no more - no quality here though. I was afraid when I joined the company that I would loose something I had with my contract carrier in terms of coverage and I've honestly gained. I'm saving about $40 a month and I'm on the Verizon calling network with free 411 calls - that's savings not many can match.

  • Love the cancellation fees...paytoleaveus maximus! Even if they did have a cancellation fee though, I wouldn't be going anywhere. With Straight Talks great value for money, service and incredible coverage, who would want to switch users?

  • I enjoyed the video almost as much as I enjoy having my teenager on the Straight Talk $45.00 per month unlimited talk, text and data deal....no more cell phone bills for me!!

  • I love the fact that there are no hidden fees or extra charges. Regular phone companies have always found a way to tackle on extra fees that are ridiculous.

  • Apart from the great deal at $45.00 per month unlimited usage I really dig the massive back-up I get from the Verizon network...the coverage is awesome and I never have dropped calls!

  • $30 for 1000 minutes and 1000 texts is a great deal, but I would absolutely go with the $45 unlimited plan; it even includes unlimited data usage!! Being in college and not having a ton of money to spend on my cell phone bill, Straight Talk will save me hundreds of dollars this year!

  • I have a friend that uses straight talk phones because he loves how affordable they are and the service is still great. He gets unlimited usage for $45 which is much cheaper than the average $70 phone bill. My contract is going to be up soon so I think I might switch over as well because it just seems like such a good deal. $25 dollars a month times 12 months is $300 dollars a year in savings!

  • My kids love the Straight Unlimited call, text and data plan as the used to run out of minutes all the time and then phone me and it was a pain in the b..! At $45.00 per month the unlimited plan is the best deal out there!

  • Gross but funny! I like the point they're making though. No hidden fees and service charges (except for tax of course) sure is a much better way to own a cell phone Straight Talk rulez!!!

  • What exactly is labelled overages in this ad? It looks like an oyster thats got a suntan :) Either way I like what they're advertising, so far I've been really happy with Straight Talk, good value and good coverage without being locked into a contract.

  • i love how cheap tracfone is

1000 minutes and texts are a great deal for $30!

  • I have the $45 unlimited plan and love it! It's great not having to worry about overages. And I'm actually gettting better reception with Straight Talk than with my former carrier!

  • New phones are at Walmart. I Just got a samsung with slide out qwerty keyboard. (R451C) Got the $30 plan, so far so good. State and federal tax + 911 tax make it almost 32.00 (varies state to state)

  • are they coming with any new phones by end of year

  • The best part is they now have unlimited data tagged onto this $45.00 deal!!

I'm defiantly not gonna be using my credit card for this, just gonna purchase the fill up cards in-store instead. ;]

  • sign my wife up for straight talk several weeks ago. I activated the phone, redeem a straight talk service card, and sign up for a account all on the web site. I also sign up for auto-refill (BIG MISTAKE). Regardless of the fact that Straight Terms and Conditions states that You may enroll by registering your credit or accepted debit card .... and will receive a recurring charge to your credit/accepted debit card every 30 days ...; I was charge $32.55 on my credit card that day .

  • @raallen28306 never use auto refill, dont be lazy!
