i disagree. as long as u find ppl paying for other ppls vlogs, its fine with me. and they have every right to do so. tv is basically the same. ppl sitting in front of a camera are getting paid. ok, they call themselves oprah and cnn and nbc or whatever, but they also started by simply turning on a cam and talking. youtube is simply the beginning of a new tv era, and everybodys just trying to benefit by it the most. ppl pay for oprah, so why not for anybody else?
kids aspiring to make youtube vids isn't necessarily a bad thing. sorry dude, but this is new media, and if the kid is talented, dedicated and seeks the right education, then they can go FAR in the world of multimedia content production, and youtube has proven to be a great starting point for many folk who now have jobs doing what they love! You seem to be stuck in a very old way of thinking.
Maybe it is... the world is changing, and fast, those who can't adapt to, or at least accept change might find themselves quite unhappy. and my Mother never punished me by sending me to my room etc - I had to many fun things in there. ;)

I am old, but is the old way really that bad?? It used to be punishment to have to stay inside. :-)
