I don't think there's a valid explanation for the arms thing, but the hair-cutting scene was a must, so they left it. However, what gets me the most is how the dark elf didn't have any blades when she first appeared (and those gray lines behind her legs is her clothing) and suddenly blades. I don't think you carry those around in your panties, do you, ladies?

@Alishondra The Dark Elf was slightly lower than the Elf, and her blade is held backwards, so her arm is straight but it hits near the neck of the Ligh Elf, while the Light Elf's sword is positioned above that arm and angled downwards. If you think about it, it makes sense, but the hair-cutting is at the same time.

It's possible, i think, cuz dark elfs top hair was cut and the elfs lower hair was cut, so arms were one above other :) without hitting each other
