No, not all jail break software resets everything!. Black rain obviously doesn't!. All you do is click a button on black rain to down load the app, then when you do you can download cydia and rock right from your iPod touch/iPhone!. So YOU need to do your research!.

nothing much. only 2 things that i can think of.

1: and biggest downside, it voids you warranty.(if you have had it for a year which is the default warranty, then that doesnt apply

2. it takes about 500 mb of memory to jailbreak, and it can lightly slow down your ipod

hmm. does it give you an error message? if it does, then the video isnt probably in the right format or corrupt (wont hurt your comp). that movie just wont work. try another movie.

(you have to jailbreak it) if you got your ipod touch from a store or from apple in the last 6 months, you have a 2nd gen, and cannot jailbreak it. if you bought it earlyer than that, i have a video on it.

try saving the file to your desktop, then dragging it in to the movies tab. If that doesn't work, then maybe that file isn't compatible (not all of the files are) just get a different movie

Yeah, sorry you do... but you can just download the movies to your computer, put them in your itunes, and sync your iPod/iPhone to your computer. then they would be in videos
