  • ARJUN better archer than karan. PERIOD

  • So Kunti, Krishna, and Bhishma all knew the truth about Karna, yet none of them spoke up. That means none of them really wanted to prevent the war.

  • It is weird that Kunti can just walk into his tent while Karna is sleeping. What type of war is this?

  • @kmg4 : People those days where good in differentiating every moment of their life .

  • I wonder if there is too much expectation to behave like a role model all the time. Karna had his faults. But do we wonder how he would have felt in that day and age to be called "Sutaputra" all the time. To sit everyday in court trying to fight for recognition. For some reason we expect all his actions to be perfect, while we all as humans act based on the treatment we receive. Its interesting that Krishna the previous night praises his adherence to rules, but forgets it the next day

  • dhristadhyumna is useless

  • @ankitait2 Bhurisravas was dragging an unconscious Satyaki in an attempt to kill him. What was Arjuna supposed to do? Also Svadharma is different from Dharma with a capital D. Swadharma is valid only when it does not violate cosmic Dharma. If swadharma was supreme, paedophiles and rapists would claim that it was their swadharma to molest children and women.

  • @ankitait2 Even after the attempted disrobing of Draupadi and loss of kingdom, the Pandavas honored their promise and led the life of hunter gatherer monks for 13 years. They did not succumb to anger and kill Duryodana in that hall, which they would have been well within their rights to do so. Krishna supported the Pandavas only because they were on the side of Dharma. Not for any other reason. Arjuna was well within rights to cut off B's arm, since B himself was dragging an unconscious Satyaki

  • Comment removed

  • @ankitait2 So, Draupadi could either marry a Kshatriya or a Brahmin (Which was Arjun's disguise when he hit the target). Please try to understand the prevalent social structure before commenting about rectitude especially in regards to the Pandavas and Draupadi. These characters were far advanced even in those exalted times. How many women do you know who would faithfully follow her husband in misfortune even to the forest? Even after the attempted disrobing of Draupadi and loss of kingdom

  • @ankitait2 As for your argument regarding Draupadi's humiliation of D and K in the swayamvara, Duryodana humiliated himself by missing the target and Draupadi was well within her rights to reject Kana's suit on the grounds of his being a Suta putra. Marriages were of 2 kinds anuloma and pratiloma. Anuloma was accepted as dharmic and required that a woman's status enhanced or atleast remained the same post marriage considering that the varna and jaati changes for a woman post M.

  • @ankitait2 You cannot take these in isolation and deem the Pandavas adharmic. Karna and Duryodana were repeat offenders over a span of 50-60 years. If you can, please find a similar black mark chart that you can hang around the neck of the Pandavas. Karna had all the good qualities of all his other 5 brothers put together. He fell because he supported Adharma. This is just to illustrate the bad effects of Dus-Sangha. The less said about ppl like Jayadratha and others you mention, the better.

  • @ankitait2 Karna humiliated Draupadi in the Kuru Rajyasabha and was the emergent cause for her attempted disrobing. Despite knowing Duryodhana to be full of false pride and envy, he supported him in the laksha grah episode, the dice game, the vana parva episode with the gandharvas and in the brutal killing of Abhimanyu totally in contravension of accepted rules of combat. A small stain on a white cloth stands out. Such is the blot on the pandavas in the course of war.

  • @ankitait2 Ok so the epic terms the death of one as good and the other as bad, because one fought for Dharma and the other for Adharma. Duryodhana was the embodiment of adharma and so were all who supported him. Kshatriya dharma is a guideline that ensures that a warrior use his skills and strength only to support Satyam, Rtam and Brhat. Sentimentality has no place in the scheme of things for Dharma.

  • @ankitait2 Karna was no doubt a great warrior, but he always came up short in battle against Arjuna or Bhima because he did not honor Kshatriya Dharma. Also, I fail to understand how Bhima becomes an offender by throwing deadbodies at Karna when he ran out of weapons. Remember? He was deep in enemy territory and had to defend himself in whatever manner possible.

  • @vvenkat111 mute point, but the dead are treated with respect, in fact that is what Karna pointed out when sparing his life, , and yes you are right to point out he did kill 21 of Duryodhana's brothers. but he was ultimately at Karna's mercy and left alive.

Speaking of Kshatriya Dharma, why is death of heroes like Bhishma, Bhagdatta, Jayadratha, Bhurishravas, Karna and Drona not counted, it is as if killing one is religious and the other irreligious

  • @vvenkat111 also Was it not Arjun who cut off Bhurishravas arm while he was engaged with Satyaki.

Speaking of the dishonor of Draupadi in full assembly, so were Duryodhana and Karna insulted by her, in FULL assembly

our epics are far grater than tiny morality plays, I am just trying to make that point, this serial does not capture that, indeed it is out of scope for any telly adaptation

every character is following his or her own notion of dharma, no one is particularly right or wrong

  • @ankitait2 Yes Bhima was finally defeated by Karna after defeating him atleast 7 times in Single combat even though Duryodana lost 21 of his own brothers whom he sent for Karna's rescue. Bhima was fighting deep within enemy territory, while Karna had a ready supply of weapons, chariots and disposable protectors. Also, The Mahabharatha makes no mention of Kunti asking or Karna agreeing not to use the Nagastra more than once. According to the rules that prevailed, an astra can be used once

  • gr8 people make gr8 mistakes...karna was 1 of them

.............he was a good person but his wrong attitude made him die.... finally god was standing on both sides........

    1. krshna n arjun

    2. parshuram n karna arjun never did wrong things.....although his objective was good still he got bad results n curses this is luck....d chance of winning was 50-50 by arjun n karna

  • Drona was not killing the Pandavas, Karan didnt kill bheem and Arjun, even he got the chance, coz he gave his words to Kunti that 5 sons will remain,if he would have killed Arjun, He would have to kill other Pandavas also for duryodhan.,it was not very difficult for him.Bheeshma said boldly to Duryodhan that he will not kill pandavas.Other than these three persons nobody have the strenth to kill Pandavas. So this was actually just a fake fight by all of them.

  • @bupinder987 Nice really true

  • @shreyas4444 There is no need to manufacture reasons for Karna's death. Your version does not find mention in Vyasa's Mahabharatha. Karna had been defeated before by Arjuna at the Virata Yudha, when he had both his bow and chariot. Not to mention that Karna was repeatedly defeated by Bhima on the 14th day's battle when he had to change chariots and and bows atleast 15 times. Karna was a greaat warrior, but lacked the discipline and the Taposhakti of Arjuna's not to mention Narayana's protection

  • @vvenkat111 dude on the 14th day Karna also defeated Bhima ultimately, and as far as discipline is concerned, Bhima ought to be the worst offender, as during the battle you speak of he(Bhima), when his weapons were cut down starting chucking bodies of dead soldiers and dead animals at Karna

Also Karna did not use the Nagastra twice, which was against conduct, and also some versions suggest that Karna when insulted by Arjuna, injured him gravely before going for the wheel

  • khrishna is the trouble maker through out this series....

  • @Rohit84up

M0r0ns always have a diffracted interpretation. God bless you

  • good going arjun ...very nice talk with draupadi

  • 2) Shalya Ran away in middle of war , Bec Karna refuse to listen him ( Instance is when kana is took his sarpastra and target Arjuna but shalya stops and advice him that Not to target on Chest bec of Krishna , But krna refuse as he already target to neck now he cant change the Target as its not legal in Danurvidya , Sarpastra cme back after it missing to kill arjuna but Karna sent it back by saying he cant use same weapon twice as he prommise to Kunti , shalya ran away after this as he angry

  • Karn a true fighter..guy who fought with his destiny throughout his life. Extraordinary character.

Mrityunjaya by Shivaji Sawant - must read book

  • the fact that one side has a god, is bull crap and pisses me off!! gods should not have intervened what so ever! there is no reason for them to come down! god dammit!

  • Yudusthir was seething after Karna made that insulting comment!

  • Daraupadi witch at 10.05 :X

  • once krishna said in KARAN's praise: that he had all the qualities which the pandavas had individually and he also spared the life of each pandavas whom he could have killed

maybe KARAN lost the battle from arjun but till today after KRISHNA , KARAN is the one who is remembered for not only donating to humans but also to lord INDRA( his kawach and kundal)...and even lord said that no other person in this earth can be born like KARAN ......he became immortal and not ARJUN...

  • @karyrocks Karna is a bloody coward.if you dont believe me watch abhimanyu wadh again. And he is an insult to the entire race of men who insulted a helpless women like Draupadhi.he was too arrogant also.during the virat yudh he insulted the 3 elder warriors. he deserves no better death than this. Death like a beggar who doesnt posses anything.neither a chariot nor divine wepons. A dog dying in the road side has a better death than this.

  • @karyrocks Arjun also became immortal but for only one reason and that is because he was the reason that Shree Krishna started to preach the Gita

  • Comment removed

  • karan was not bad at heart...he was just on the wrong side :(

  • Karan followed the rules and didnt kill arjun but arjun n krishan didnt follwed the rules & killed Karan and still they said we are good persons & we fought for dharam, is this what u call dharam, wats the difference between durjodhan & them? They killed their Guru Dron in the same way. They could never win this war if they folled rules

  • @JaySean5 sometimes its necessary to use adharma to restore dharma. Karna was virtuos no doubt but was on the side of adharma, he had to go...simple! This is a rational point , not emotional.

  • yes... Karna could hav made Yudhister prisoner but he rather chose to end his life, both for Hasitnapurs good and to get rid of Duryodhan debt!

  • I am surprised Drishtadyumma lost so badly!

  • Which else epic can be so intricate in relations and feelings than Mahabharat ? !! - Namaste Sri Krishna !

  • Why only Karna has so many curses by different people??

    its not fair.

I almost cried when Karna died..

    he is a real warrior..

    my salute to him

  • @Tijender : I agree too... I feel Karna had so uch difficult life.. He got nothing in his life for none of his fault... I got tears in my eyes when he died... I guess such is life. We can learn from it

  • @ramils totally one should definetely learn from Karna that how frienship are done and How to help people.

I don't know but for some reason I feel Karna had a unfair life after all he was a great warrior and a good person.

    I really like Karna

  • @Tijender : Yes Karan's life was very sad. But as with most of the scriptures, the intent is what we learn from it. He was great but he was on the wrong side (for good intentions). Another lesson, when we are on side of God or Right, the victory is also ours. It is a very deep subject. Arjuna won because he was humble ( with a few exceptions) and ofcourse Krishna helped him... Thats why we need to be on Krishna's (or other such beings) side - To fight for good and just cause

  • Comment removed

  • @ramils I agree we need to be good and honest to win the fight against bad, but I do not see Arjuna fault in this.Though he was a major part of bad side but still he had good intentions,As a friend he kept his promise knwing the fact that they cannot win against Krishna.Like wise he's life was also against him, as he got curses from various people for doing "GOD knows". He's own Guru Pashuram Ji gave him curse, knwing that he also doesn't know that he is not Brahmin. All I knw he deserve good

  • @Tijender : Very true. I also think why Karan had such a difficult life without any of his faults. That makes me think abt the Past Life Karmas & samskaras. We all go in life and face many issues without our faults..where we r born & in what conditions is not in r control. The luck goes with us. So I guess Karna had somekind of past luck following him - sad but helpless. The key for us to know the truth and follow it. Infact Bhisma also was going thru his karma...not happy life at al to think it

  • woh kaathke yodhaa hotehe madranaresh jo bhayveet nahi hote........

  • KARNA......The Great

  • Those were yes Warriors and dead may be in those times ! and this Epic is for times and we are just pawns of Chess to tread wise and learn !

Yes Krishna is God, he knows everything what to happen and what is to happen ! After all being the incarnation of Vishnu 'the sustainer of life' it was his duty !!

Assimmilate or not, it was his duty !

  • poor cursed Karna, trust be dude this world was always like this "good for Nothing". that's why the must have said "naki kar dharai ma dhal".

  • When Parshuram came to know that Karn wasn't lying, and in fact he himself didn't knew that he wasn't brahman, Parshuram gave Karn, the "RATH" & "SHIV DHANUSH" and gave him the Vardaan that he wont get defeated till he either holds the SHIV DHANUSH, or is on that RATH... So, Krishna knew that thats the only time when he could be killed (without holding dhanush, & out of the rath)..

Hence, Krishna was also not happy with what he made arjun to do..

  • @shreyas4444 wasnt he was defeated in Virat Yudh? when he had his Vijay Dhanush n Rath both?

  • @shreyas4444 -I thought that the Shiv Dhanush was broken by Rama in Sita's swayamwar. Was this another Shiv Dhanush? Please clarify?

  • @shreyas4444

Wow that was the part i didnt knew!

  • OF course i agree that kauravas had killed abhimanyu viciously but pandavas have cunningly killed bhima and even their guru . All this stains their bravery and the fact that karna donated his kavach kundal make him immortal. Its not easy to part with such an invaluable god gift and is certainly highlights his bravery and greatness

  • i dont get vidrashat.. because everytime he talk he balmes on some 1 like ...GANGA PUTAR BHEESM, DRUN ACHARIYA, PANDAV, KUNTI ETC ETC! PART FROM HIS HIMSELF ND HIS SON!

  • Karna is my Fav character .... agreed he made mistakes but so did everyone else .

He died a death he did not deserved and somewhere in his mind he had decided he wud let Arjun live as he knew Arjun was his younger brother.

  • How do we block hooligans who put hate speech against us on this platform on programs that they have nothing to do with, & have neither the ability nor the intent to understand it, & come here with the sole goal of insulting us? Can someone get this kans (kgm4) goon off?

  • yep its true ...Karna and Bhishma were the two greatest warriors of mahabharat who had a life full of pain and sacrifices but they still fought till the end to fulfill their duty....According to Krishna Karan was one person who had all the qualities of all five pandavs but was killed because he was unfortunately on the wrong side.

  • Dropadi..I hate her :(

  • @kmg4 u dont need to revere him then....u dont understand the deeper aspects of the divine....thats y u say this....

  • @hsnse Oh, I understand it better than you do. The point is a cheater with no morals, is revered by too many dysfunctional Hindus. They are brainwashed into thinking this is 'divine'.

  • @kmg4 OK so be it, But isn't it bigots like u who claim 2 be respected for advocating freedom to practice any religion? I don't hear any thing from u about u guys praying to a corpse of the one you killed & nailed it on the cross? or to worship the pedophiles & make them your "spiritual guides? The only "person" u accuse is the one who helps the innocent see thru the deception of crooks like you.. You can take your attitude some where else. u r only a piece of trash here, barging in uninvited

  • @kmg4 Easy to say. Its very clear you don't. He is not a "cheater with no morals". And thanks, we know whom to revere and based on what.

  • @hsnse -

If this moron had logic, brains ethics and morals as he claims 2 possess he wont b barging in here n talkin ill abt another religion without any valid reason. His logic is shallow. Trust me buffons like him will claim Bhisma pitamah shud b in hell 4 fightin on d side of Adharma n killin so many virtuous who fought 4 Dharma.

such shallow logic n arguments prove that West is full of shit n morons

  • @kmg4 -

We dun need certification fromsum sick minded morally corrupt drunken oaf like U abt whoz great n whoz not.Just go 2 ur booze parties n hookers u sinner.Mind ur own business

  • @kmg4 : if u're so against the "dsyfunctional hindus" then what's the pont in u coming here and commenting on a "hindu epic and its characters" ....

this is not a stage for an argumentative debate on hinduism and its gods... go someplace else where sucha stage exists and where anyone with an IQ of 15 would actually believe your shit...nobody's interested here abt what u think ..

  • @kmg4 one of the most ignorant and dumbass comment ever.

  • @kmg4 True . Krishna cheats and also justifies it by saying it for the sake of Dharma.

  • @deeprock22 Thank you very much for pointing this out, amidst all the other fanatics who rationalize immoral behavior due to their blind beliefs.

  • karan is only kaurav soldier who bringed tears in eyes on his deth

  • The greatest Maharathi of Mahabharat is karna but destiny played cruel game against him. Had he been not cursed ,perhaps no one in the universe could have vanquished him.

  • @31:20 Gandhari says "Ekaanth"... how did she know that the dasi is still standing there... ?

  • Its good Irannnnnnnn

  • you r a freak

  • Kaurav's were ten times more powerful than the Pandavas. In fact, Bhishma could have won the war alone, so could have Karna, but these two great and powerful people refused to kill the Pandavas for their own personal reasons. Duryodhana was just a big bully.

  • i agree with sharitwa....such horrifying humiliation and on top of that she was called a "vaishya" meaning prostitute in front of everyone. It is wrong to call draupadi a self obsessed women

  • Comment removed

  • Draupadi was a real self-obsessed female. She is the cause of the devastation.

  • Agree. Entire mahabharat began when she made fun of Duryodhan when he first came to indra-prasth

  • @DAVIL963 but did that make her deserving of the treatment meted out to her by Durodhan? and in a way, unknowingly by Yudhishthir too, by using her as a wager?

  • @eghead2000

when someone pulls your hair and drags you somewhere you don't want to go and also tries to disrobe you to be naked in front of hundreds of strange men... then I would like to know how you'd feel...

perhaps you're not a woman, that's why you can't understand this horrifying humiliation.

  • I agree...that is why Krishna placed her in the whole setup.

  • When GOD is with u .. victory has already happened even before the war has begun.

KRISHNA in GITA says to ARJUNA .. all these warriors are ALREADY DEAD .. their heads r already cut off .. ur job is to only get the fame. If not you then someone else will do that because there is no choice , as they all r already dead. MANY times he reminds ARJUNA ''you fight & leave the result on me , ur duty is to fight, leave the result for me '' ALL was KRISHNA all along , rest were just like PAWNS of CHESS

  • Lots of facts hav been added ,,, not only in this serial but the book of mahabharat too,, some historical , some just symbolic. Main meaning behind this was tht, even if most POWERFUL pple r fighting for a WRONG CAUSE still they will loose because they are AGAINST DHARMA.

Karana, Bhishma were stronger than Arjuna.

    Duryodhana was stronger than Bheema.

But still Dharma was with Pandavas (krishna was for dharma) & hence victory was of PANDAVAS due to DHARMA & KRISHNA.

    NOT due to PANDWAS POWER

  • WISE MAHABHARAT FANS, know that Mahabharat is a historical event recorded NOT by myopic modern historians but by all knowing, Impartial, Truth-loving Maha Rishi Ved Vyasji..om

  • @sanaatan178 Absolutely brother

  • Mrityunjay is a great book which is based on Karna..

  • No doubt Krishna is really cheerful and soft-hearted to all, but in this case he suggested a cruel thing..........but I still LUV Krishna at any cost

  • Oh my god.......it was Krishna's cruel suggestion to kill Karna. How can such a great guy be killed by a good person? How can be killed by his own little bro? What a shame! What a disgrace!

  • I know this Karna 's death is unfair

  • @WYR772 -

Dont u think It wud be so bad 4 a great warrior like Karna 2 b vanquished n humiliated by his foes.D fact that he n Drona had 2 be killed by deceit is proof enough that such great warriors were unvanquished n cud not b defeated fair n square

  • karna was brilliant but lord krisna made it possible hope in todays world also good always wins

  • karnna was a great character in mahabharata. nobody is as great as him when compared with anyone in mahabharata.not even krishna!

  • How can you say that? Krishna is the Lord himself. And Karna did some very undharmic things.

  • hmm yup

  • Just Brilliant...Awesomee....

  • yes i pretty well know what karna did.but i am not making up the story.the incident is recorded in mahabharat itself.i think karna had bad destiny .thats all .but i truly respect ur opinion though.

  • @ssvenks

u have failed to realise gita????is gita so cheap to be understand easily...do u know the essence of gita ?if u say yes i am gonna worship u as a next lord krishna. The very existence of human being is in search of the mystery of life which is till now a mystery.but i know one thing that if u know GITA u know everything.Even Arjun did not fully understood the essence of GITA.after his son avimanyu dies he starts crying N krishna feels reluctant again to teach arjun the essence of geeta.

  • Immediately, Karna picked up a stone nearby, knocked out his teeth and offered them to the Brahmin. Krishna in his guise as Brahmin wanted to test Karna further. "What? Are you giving me as gift teeth dripping with blood? I cannot accept this. I am leaving", he said. Karna pleaded, " Karna took out an arrow and aimed it at the sky. Immediately rain dropped from the clouds. Cleaning the teeth with the rain water, Karna offered the teeth with both his hand

  • Krishna begged for forgiveness to Karna, something he did not from any other individual who lost their the war. As always, the generous Karna, fully aware that Krishna caused his cruel death, forgives Krishna,a sign of the extreme generosity which has not been seen in epics before, even from Gods.

  • @ashish4360

Even from other gods?? Krishna is the god..you have understood mahabharatha but you have failed to realise the Gita. Krishna says again and again for any one in the side of adharma knowingly..i will go to the lowest of times to convert them to dharma...if they continue to stand in adharma and in my way..then i shall bend every rule of dharma behind which adharma is hiding behind giving reasons...you never know what karna did do you??

Kindly dun use such foul lang 4 warriors as great as GODS in heaven.

U r only disgracing urself. This s not some hollywood action movie

  • wow....Duryodhan and me have got alot of things in common....I just pray I don't die the way he died....

  • i wonder whether u have watched mahabharat or not. talking abt karna ....The guy who should have been the real king of hastinapur was killed in such a deceitful way. This guy was too generous n even god like indra took advantage of his generosity.Instead of feeling soory for him u r trying to degrade the gr8 character.man that is disappointing.

  • @snoopblunt -

I agree he had flaws n made mistakes but none of us have d stature 2 match up 2 any warriors in this epic.We r not even worth his toenails

  • dullesfarm>>>if Karna was praised for undeserved greatness n was such a weak character then Mahabharata would not have took place.Duryodhan would have no guts to challenege 5 padavs +krishna.he knew bhisma n dorna wont kill the pandavs.the only guy who could have killed arjun was karan.but due to sad destiny, he lost the battle.

  • look at the reaction on krishna's face how much pain he had to suffer while provoking arjun to kill a mahatma like karan in a deceitful manner

  • Kal hi ka tho ek din hai karn kal ka hi tho ek din hai karn aur esi din ke liye mainey tumhe sharp diya tha....

He fought for his honor infact he defeated warroirs even arjun could not defeat, he was fully aware of the consequeces but he still fought for honor, aise mahveer ko shat shat naman.

Ke sabhi veer kade hokar tumhare veerta ka jay kar, jay kar karenge

  • yea i think he knew that he was going to die that day still he fought

  • no dear dullesfarm, the act of gratifying karna to the extent of a her has been done by the writer of Mahabharata 'Ved Vyas' himself. There are 18 'parvas' or divisions in the Mahabharata, the 18th being "karna parva". He lived his life for his dearest friend, Duryodhana and he gifted his life to Arjuna to save the life of his brothers. He was not fighting a battle for kingdom..he just fought for honour.

  • Karna Parva is the story of the part of Kurukshetra war when Karna was senapathi. Before that there was drona parva and bhishma parva. That part does talk about karna's veertha but not what he has done for the society.

  • the karna parva is not the 18th parva of the mahabharata. it's the 8th. and he didn't actually gift his life to arjuna. his promise to kunti was that either he would attain glory by killing arjuna, or attain heaven after being killed by him. so either way, kunti would always have 5 sons (he'd promised to spare the other 4 apart from arjuna).

  • Karna's life had a terrible beginning and an agonizingly painful end..and in between these two ends, there was courage and the greatest of sacrifices ever made by any man.

The poor guy knew only to give, did never ask for anything from anybody. His entire life being overshadowed by his sheer bad luck. he could easily have allied with the Pandavas, 'cause he knew he was their brother..or he could have killed all the pandavas. But he decided to accept death in silence but with grace.

  • What was the terrible things in Karna's life? He had the love of foster parents, he was called sooth putra because he was brought up by a sooth, a charioteer. Why did he take it as an insult. And he ecame a king at young age, was it terrible? It is true that Karna was not respected by most, that is because respect is omething to be earned by karma not by birth. He clamed to be better than Arjun which he never could prove. Karna was a great guy with an obsessin of proving himself a match to Arjun

  • In his entire life, Karna got just one day to prove that he was the greatest warrior, and this was the day, the 16th day of the battle of Kurukshetra. what a man!!! And what an episode. I have followed all the episodes of Mahabharat and I have no doubt, this one is the best.

  • the stries of gratifying the character of Karna are not actually part of vyasa mahabharrath, that was written with shlokas.Later came out a lot of folklores raising a great warrior to his undeserved greatness .we do have a habit of prasing the tragic heroes

  • And what exactly has Karna done to fight against the injustice in the society?

  • well, not so much for fighting injustice, per se, but he was celebrated for his generosity, because of his vow to never turn anyone away unsatisfied who asked him for some boon while he was doing his daily prayers to surya.

And he compromised with his Destiney this is Sacrifice as it is for the Good/Dharma

  • I have a grievance with the MahaB. It makes a quackery of free will. That Parashuram gave the shrap knowing Karna will fight Arjun, or Shikhandi was given a boon in previous life to kill Drona....stuff like that....where is free will??

  • that is what they asked for after tapas, shrikhandi did years of tapa as amba, and when finally asked by shiva, he asked for this...so infact, it is free to ask,... infact, lord said that you can not kill bhisma, but u will become reason for his death... every maharathi who faught in this great war, actualy asked for this war one way or another..of course they had choice not to take part in it with free will..

  • @dirtyharree free will is just a ghost buddy! friggin everything in pre-destined, and u cant do sh*t about it...and yet we live in the hope that somehow, by hard-work etc we can shape our destiny! load of crap...Life? its just a cruel joke played by god upon us...japan's whole city has been destroyed...were all of them at fault, or were they all unjustful, atheists, lying and detestful souls? Nope! but still, look what the gr98 lord does..its all karma they say!Well damn true, but free-will?CRAP

  • i thought, bhisma did not know till karna died that he was kunti's son? unless karna told him night before he died?

  • there was also one incident which is not shown here .On the 16th day karan was the commander chief n was so in form that Krishna made U turn to avoid the clash between arjun n karan.

  • Karna is the greatest warrior of all time.

  • abhijit22in,

Krishna is the greatest warrior of all time not Karna.

    Regards,

  • yea I agree with the dude below even lord krishna praised.....during the battle, arjuna pushed karna's chariot 10 steps back....Karna pushed arjuna's rath one step back....Krishna was impressed and he began to praise karna...Arjuna was stunned and asked why he was praising karna...krishna said ,"Arjuna...I am a god that preserves the entire universe and I am the heaviest man and on one can shake me but Karna managed to do it".also there was another god Hanuman. on the chariot

  • Where the hell you got this info???? is there any written script of Mahabharat in ebook format?

  • No, it was not part of authentic MBH.

All such stories and many more are part of folklore exalting Karna the great to Karna the greatest.

In Karna movies, you would see that Karna is hit on the chest and then he would show some more generosity (to Krishna and Arjuna disguised as Brahmins etc).

  • Xtra:

This duel bet karna n arjun lasts too long, in between thr was incident when Arjun laughs n says "Hey krishna, my each arrow pushes karna's chariots 10 miles away n his each arrow pushes our chariot just few cm", Then Krishna replied coz "I am on ur chariot n his arrows r still pushing us few cm behind he is incredible, I m the one who picked whole earth in 1 bare foot. Also hanumanJi is thr on ur chariot".

After this Krishna got off the chariot n thr was nothing left everything was DUST.

  • A dilemma for Karna- not much help for him if he doesn't surrender the Lord Krishna.

  • Poor KARNA HAS some identity crisis too. He is honest like the SON-God who never hides and take sick or vacation leave lol.
