God, it kills me that these so-called "public intellectuals" argue over the most trivial and mundane shit. Hitchens is hailed as the greatest mind since Newton so why doesn't he ever enter the dialogue on global warming (besides using it to deride religion)? Where is his criticism of big brother? What about how technological advancements put people out of work? These are serious issues that are never talked about. Nah, religion, gay marriage, and Obama's birthplace are way more important
@duckdown1993 God won't be killing anyone, no need to worry there. A lot of people will die in his name and that is all for nought. Hitchens didn't touch global warming because he has already debated it. Global Warming is a religion and it's worshippers are called alarmists. Hitchens was right about McCain, he was right about Bambi Obama and the world has lost one of it's greatest thinkers. 3 years later, President Obama has one of the best foreign policies ever and America is safer than ever after killing Bin Laden. Laura is really butt hurt just because Hitchens endorsed Obama and not Palin.
Everything Obama said was a script! He, as Bush, as Clinton, as Bush I, as Reagan, have been counseled under Jesuit lies, whose goal is papal supremacy the world over, enforcing sin against GOD, Jesus Christ and the Laws of Utopia! If men will not honor Utopian Law here, they will never honor it! That's what Armageddon is all about: Satan's war against man's tranquility while The Ten Commandments assure it! But one day it will come through Jesus Christ, and His universal peace will rule forever.
Campaign bravado, eh? Ingraham would be embarrassed watching this.
Obama has fought the War on Terror more intensely in just a couple years than Bush and Clinton's entire administrations combined. This is probably the only thing Obama has done that is impressive.
And yet the right won't let him have an inch, surely and in a very lucid way shows their agenda.
Whatever happened to just letting people say their piece without constantly interrupting them? It amazes me how Hitchens can sit there and be good-natured about it. I would just tell the bitch to STFU and let me finish. It annoys me, because it's not just this clip. It's everywhere in political debate these days, and really everywhere in life. Nobody has any goddamn common courtesy anymore. It's just a bunch of brainless chickens seeing who can fucking squawk the loudest.
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
What do our opinions mean, if we speak them so loudly and yet let ourselves be diverted by other expedient factors? Maybe one ought to attach every opinion to a choice that can be made.
It's incredible how a news channel can be so biased. They don't care what the president do, they just critisize him no matter what. They're more like a republican propaganda channel.
@alphaenemy Osama Bin Laden was killed by a team hand-picked by Dick Cheney. The information on his location was obtained using methods approved by Donald Rumsfeld. The war that disassembled his organization was started by George W. Bush. Where does Obama come into this? Saying "Okay, go ahead?" That's leadership?
@ChetR I didn't know we were playing a game. Anyway, no she won't admit she was wrong, and I was implying that the left has their war era strongmen too.
I love how Foxnews always brings in Hitches thinking hes gonna agree with them on everything, but then he goes off doing his own thing which frequently clashes with their narrative
It's fun to look back on this after Obama's been in office for a little while because it substantiates the reasons Hitchens backed Obama. Obama has handled the war rather well, and as Hitchens said, "Obama is teachable," and that is exactly right. Obama has listened and learned from military advisors regarding the war efforts. For this, I applaud Obama. Back then, the right thought that Obama was just going to yank our troops out of the war. WRONG.
@callofduty497 He made these comments before there was such a thing as the Obama administration. Which you can tell if you either look at the upload date, or paid attention to the damned video.
"thats bravado, thats campaign bravado", JESUS WHAT A SHRILL WHORE. I mean you want to tell me these guys aren't a wholly owned subsidiary of the GOP, and that they don't have two sets of standards for the Dems and GOP?
I would LOVE to hear what he would say now. "Ah bollocks it appears I was duped. We would have done better to elect Ronald Mcdonald. Fuck Id better just keep my mouth shut about politics from now on and go back to talking about evolution."
@RedPenguins01 lol. hes definitly a left wing shill. thats why he was having trouble defending his defense of Obama, because he HAD no reason to defend him other than that he was the Democratic candidate. Obviously shes gonna be confrontational too because she is as much a shill of the NEOCONS as he is the democrats.
@georgekostaras Hitchens does to noisy obstructors what bulldozers do to debris. You hear a bit of crunching and interference, but he invariably gets where he wants to go.
ICONS OF TELEPLAY—Fear not my tattooed countryman regarding lackey Christ' Hitchens' demise as the U.S. is teeming with native- and foreign-born fascists. There are plenty at-the-ready to fill the void when he croaks.
Sad part is Hitchens has to deal with these egotistical idiots no matter which news organization he makes an appearance on television for. Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, all full of the same idiots, just different points of view.
Absolutely. She won't shut up. Typical so called interview by Fox. It's not an interview anymore than Fox is news. She invites Hitchens in to tell everyone what SHE wants to say.
fox news is famous for reporters that try to force their simpleminded opinions and shout, interrupt their guests... one more example right here. Fox news tries to win arguements by talking the most.
most of these pundits just need to write a book because they spend their time spouting their opinion at people instead of mediating. Unfortunately 90% of them do not possess the knowledge to write a book, nor would they be able to site any facts or sources in the process.
Did she just end her segment with "You're not gonna vote for Obama". And they dare call that news?!! That's not news, that's propaganda which is something entirely different
she just spouts off her own opinion not hitchens. smarmy journalist no wonder why hitchens just backs off for a sec and lets her look like the archetypal right wing fox news presenter
@Solidus327: Yeah, journalists should ask questions and press for answers. But shouting out one's own opinion is braking the very basic rule of journalism. It's not about the journalist, it's about the interview partner. This is so embarrasing.
@albedoshader Ingraham is not a journalist. Her boss, Rupert Murdoch, made his billions running tabloids, and so hires a cute(ish) blonde with no journalistic credentials save editing her college paper to get in fights with guests and recite easy platitudes.
Laura Ingram is the mouthpiece for a totalitarian regime....or course she acts like a thug. Never allowing Chris to explain his position...because she knows she inferior to him in every way. So she eats up the time, just getting the statement from him..and shouts down any explanation that her station wants her viewers to never hear...that of a contrary viewpoint...God, Fox sucks! No wonder 83% of Fox viewers have a distorted view of everything going on in the world. A real pole (not Fox) showed
This was the most frustrating "interview" I have ever seen. This wasn't watching a journalist, it was like watching an angry mother scold her child. Christ, I cannot believe that this woman went and graduated from any acclaimed journalistic academies.
So why did they invite Hitchens to speak? "I loved this" the host says about what Hitchens wrote about Iraq and 'the enemy'. And then she turns around and says 'now why are you suddenly standing up for Obama?' Take a random guess who she voted for. "That's campaign bravado." she defends McCain. Then when Hitchens starts to go into detail about the war between Afghanistan and Pakistan she switches the subject to Obama and his policies again. The political agenda of Fox News is so obvious.
@viridismonasteriense and she ends with "you're not going to vote for obama". So condescending. Hitchens spot on notes that he's only here to hear her talk, her "opinion news". Fuck Fox News. How about letting the guest speak for a change? Fuck!
Sorry to cut you off and talk over you for a couple minutes, but I just realized you're supporting Obama. Please be quiet while I talk over you and spout random, unsubstantiated conservative crap from my lying pie-hole.
@natetheinadequate Tax dollars pay for Fox cable news like they do for PBS? No, I'm pretty sure customers pay for Fox news when they get cable. Its not "hardly private", its entirely private.
@alvincay100 your taking what i said out of context. i was not saying "publicly funded". yea NO SHIT its privately funded. but its on public television. my father doesn't even have cable at his house. and out of the 5 channels he gets, one is fox. PUBLIC in the sense that the propaganda is viewable to anyone with a tv.
@natetheinadequate You are wrong again. Fox News is a cable ONLY station, completely different than the Fox channel on broadcast TV. You have to pay to get cable, so its not viewable by anyone with a TV.
hitchens hates islam for good reason. his home country is being overrun by the ass bacwards muslims. his support for the war on terror is right and wrong IMO. islam like all religion is dangerous and when it threatens liberal democracy must be opposed strongly. BUT its illogical to invade every country thats supports this garbage or has a dictorial regime. The answer is fight when YOU HAVE TO FIGHT, not when certain people want too. we will get past religion, if we dont humans wont make it.
Does he really believe that Alkhaida is a threat while the CIA actually funded this group? Brzezinsky bragged about himself supporting the Alkhaida while the Russians were fighting them. Remember 9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB!!! Nano-thermite was found in the WTC dust!!!
@LoyolaIgnatius Alkhaida. Are you fucking being real. First, don't throw your credibility on the subject in the trash by spelling the US primary terrorist opponent's name very obviously wrong. Second, give some sources. Not calling you out, just interested.
@blindbubba The now so fierced organisation called Taliban or Al-Qaida or the Mujahedeens were financed and trained by US goverment back in the 70ies. Thats declassified and can be read everywhere. Zbigniev Brzezinski, the former advisor to Carter trained and funded them. Nowdays the Taliban are funded by the CIA indirectly through the pakistani ISI. Read what the former ISI chief Hamid Gul says about it. Thats nothing really new.
@LoyolaIgnatius The first part of your comment regarding the Mujahideen is most certainly correct. Information regarding the Taliban/CIA connection, however, is sketchy and based on extremely weak/biased sources, at best. Unless you have access to top secret national security documents, that is.
@blindbubba Well, you might wanna ask yourself why 90% of the heroin that comes to europe is from afghanistan? There are clips here on youtube where US-Troops admit in front of cameras helping the opium farmers with harvesting and even provide them tools needed. The scheme still stands CIA ->ISI->Taliban
@LoyolaIgnatius I would imagine it is because opium has been Afghanistan's primary export for the past few decades. The US military has been encouraging Afghani farmers to shift to less illegal crops and your videos may be of that, just heavily edited/taken out of context. Do you have an example?
How does the US helping Afghani farmers (opium or not) imply a CIA-ISI-Taliban link?
@blindbubba The CIA is well known for drug trafficking from south american and afghanistan. You can read and watch many testimonies from former CIA workers. Isn't ironic to say "well its their only export that effects their gdp" and then allow their drugs to come to the US where thousands of americans will die from it? Since when is afghans economy is more important than the lives of US citizens. Aren't americans actually there to improve their "way of life"??
Did that stupid cunt say at the end, "You're not going to vote for Obama."? That's what I thought. Typical stupid fucking Fox spews idiot! Ha! Fuck Fox Spews!
What is it with these people? Do they have a gene that I don't that says to vote party over country no matter what? This is pretty scary. The little comment at the end made me want to slap that cunt. Commitment to prejudice and ignorance, the fox news motto. Republicans need to be shipped to Afghanistan and Iraq to fight the wars they want. I'd love to see this bitch go and fight in a war. Tell all that bullshit to Iraqi people.
What a pig is this interviewer. Why ask someone on for his opinion just to interrupt him and blab blab blab your own idiotic opinion. That's not an interview. That's Fox News Shit. It's not news. It's not an interview. This is the perfect example of what should turn the stomach of any decent American.
@tomhascallcole I was eating when I saw this and I felt my lunch come up a bit. I respect Hitchens even more now for going on Fox, and I hate to say it, but I wish O'Reilly had been on that night.
@mellamosean Im not really a fan of hers or fox news's in general. But i mean, he was taking for fucking EVER to make his point. All he needed was like 5 seconds to answer the question, instead he went on an irrelevant meandering monologue after everything she asked. Her job is to interview him. She has a set number of questions she must ask in a small amount of time. If hes gonna spend too long talking shes gonna cut him off. Welcome to being an anchor. All the networks do this. look for it.
I disagree, he always stayed on topic, and tried to explain his view. The problem was she was trying to insert her opinion too much rather than letting him present his. Not the same as other networks or anchors, I've watched enough, and this stood out to me.
@tomhascallcole Yup. It is sad to say that it is not at all surprising. Fox News is littered by such empty-headed bimbos. Megyn Kelly is an even more florid and despicable example of this conduct.
@delic619 It wouldn't support the weight of her fat ass. No, no, what I'd do is plug that cross int a 440 Volt AC outlet, then pour enough water over her to close the circuit. Bzzzzzzzz BOOM!! One less asshole creationist we would no longer have to worry about. :D
Will Fox people ever shut up and let guests finish? Its all about shouting louder and the polite guest won't get a word in. Stupid fox a**holes. Shocking that America has people/news stations like this... oh wait, it cant be news then... just propaganda.
@drikkaffe True, but even though I love Hitchens, he does the same thing wherever he goes, he just thinks what he has to say it so much better than what his opponent has to say--which is usually the case.
@peteyc1988 Its hard to not come across as arrogant when you have to ARGUE not CONVERSE with people who are obviously intellectually inferior and blinded to the truth of any topic they cover because of there socio-political perceptions. I find myself in Hitchens' position very often. Attempting to debate with people who carry such ignorance can be rather stressful and nerve racking, you really have no option left but to belittle them intellectually.
@lovejen01 yeah MSNBC is the worst offender. Much of the time Fox reports BIASED news. what MSNBC reports you can hardly call news most of the time, its got two modes. Soap opera and democratic propaganda. Like with the birther issue. It was almost NEVER talked about on Fox news. I believe the statistic was that 0.6% of airtime was spent on it. but somthing like 46% of news time on MSNBC was spent criticizing the birthers, who, besiedes trump, dont seem to even exist. no one on the right cared
@Porojukaha i agre but the reason why fox did no talk about the birther issue much because it was in my opinion a political distraction by NObama to make certain people look insane.
Just because I would probably like to bend her over and do the unspeakable(does this make me a bad boy?)
Actually(after several seconds of reconsideration) I think I would now maybe prefer to wildly pound her gullet with my(unduly)modest member!
OK I might contenplate smashing her shitbox but only if she promised to keep that dirty whore mouth of hers shut!(until I get around to doing the gullet thing obiously.)
All sillyness aside she does strike me as being somewhat of a daft cunt!
I like how she asks him to explain himself , and after he does , she seems to be completely baffled by the concept of a logical , reasonable , coherent response.
"I thought you would never ask, you must have me on more often to tell me what you think" hahahaha RIP Christopher

sactownism 2 months ago
Everything Obama said was a script! He, as Bush, as Clinton, as Bush I, as Reagan, have been counseled under Jesuit lies, whose goal is papal supremacy the world over, enforcing sin against GOD, Jesus Christ and the Laws of Utopia! If men will not honor Utopian Law here, they will never honor it! That's what Armageddon is all about: Satan's war against man's tranquility while The Ten Commandments assure it! But one day it will come through Jesus Christ, and His universal peace will rule forever.
utopiandesign 3 months ago
Campaign bravado, eh? Ingraham would be embarrassed watching this.
Obama has fought the War on Terror more intensely in just a couple years than Bush and Clinton's entire administrations combined. This is probably the only thing Obama has done that is impressive.
And yet the right won't let him have an inch, surely and in a very lucid way shows their agenda.
Territomauvais 3 months ago

@alphaenemy Osama Bin Laden was killed by a team hand-picked by Dick Cheney. The information on his location was obtained using methods approved by Donald Rumsfeld. WRONG.

The political agenda of Fox News is so obvious.

blindbubba 1 year ago
@blindbubba The now so fierced organisation called Taliban or Al-Qaida or the Mujahedeens were financed and trained by US goverment back in the 70ies. Thats declassified and can be read everywhere. Zbigniev Brzezinski, the former advisor to Carter trained and funded them. Nowdays the Taliban are funded by the CIA indirectly through the pakistani ISI. Read what the former ISI chief Hamid Gul says about it. Thats nothing really new.
LoyolaIgnatius 1 year ago
@LoyolaIgnatius The first part of your comment regarding the Mujahideen is most certainly correct. Information regarding the Taliban/CIA connection, however, is sketchy and based on extremely weak/biased sources, at best. Unless you have access to top secret national security documents, that is.
blindbubba 1 year ago
@blindbubba Well, you might wanna ask yourself why 90% of the heroin that comes to europe is from afghanistan? There are clips here on youtube where US-Troops admit in front of cameras helping the opium farmers with harvesting and even provide them tools needed. The scheme still stands CIA ->ISI->Taliban
LoyolaIgnatius 1 year ago
@LoyolaIgnatius I would imagine it is because opium has been Afghanistan's primary export for the past few decades. The US military has been encouraging Afghani farmers to shift to less illegal crops and your videos may be of that, just heavily edited/taken out of context. Do you have an example?
How does the US helping Afghani farmers (opium or not) imply a CIA-ISI-Taliban link?
blindbubba 1 year ago
@blindbubba The CIA is well known for drug trafficking from south american and afghanistan. You can read and watch many testimonies from former CIA workers. Isn't ironic to say "well its their only export that effects their gdp" and then allow their drugs to come to the US where thousands of americans will die from it? Since when is afghans economy is more important than the lives of US citizens. Aren't americans actually there to improve their "way of life"??
