To be honest, lets break it down. MCR and FOB write good lyrics, but MCR's lyrics are the material that can (one day) inspire novels, FOB's is just poetry so MCR wins there. MCR has better musicianmanship, MCR has better live preformances, and MCR has better depth. FOB, on the other hand, has gained more awards, public approval, popularity, advertising, and THEY STAY SOMEWHAT CONSISTENT WITH THEIR STYLE OF MUSIC! Regardless, I like MCR better, but FOB's still a good band.

have you noticed that almost NONE of the mcr fans have made fun of FOB, yet some of the FOB fans have made fun of MCR? they're not emo, or goth, or anything. MCR is a great band who write songs to inspire ppl, and i do agree that some of their songs sound depressing, but when you look into them theyre kinda like stories. theyre loads of fun to sing tho :) FOB is good too, i used to be obsessed with them in elementery school, but they dont have songs that really pick me up through the day.

Meaningless? :O My Chem has saved lives. Trust me, i know people who have been saved by listening to their music. Maybe you've only heard The Black Parade. I honestly was less than impressed by it : / But their first two albums, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, and Thee Cheers for Sweet Revenge have inspired me :) I can't really connect with Fall Out Boy's lyrics. They're some talented guys, but they're not really my thing. : L
