WOW! I really enjoyed this video. Cudos to the song choice, it really painted a great mood! Thanks and I would watch any video you made to see if anything else is this cool.
That's intense. My friend moved to saskatchewan (where i live) from quebec in 2001.. so she lived there during this storm. Her family had tons of pictures from it. Some of the pictures are pretty cool.. some just plain scary.
What did poultry farmers do without power? Chickens and turkey's have to be kept in really warm barns..
Well i guess they probabaly had generators. Most farms do. =)

dude wth, what did i do to u, I hate quebec but I still have no choise u stupid lil no life faggot, GO GET A FUCKLING LIFE BY GETTING OUT OF THIS DAMN COMPUTER! SHIT WTH DID I DO TO YOU. LIKE YOUR 21 YEARS OLD AND STILL BULLSHITTING WITH PEOPLE COMENTS, SERIOUSLY GET A DAMN LIFE, ALL I SAID WAS, i dont like quebec but i still live here, YOU STUPID PRICK
oh and don't bother replying, if you do it just means you really have no life... Your getting told by a 16 year old. SAD!!! Don't reply man, ur wasting ur time in life, oh wait you already did. I know I wont reply :) ...
I worked for 35 years at Hydro-Quebec and very proud of it.
You're jealous because you can't speak French properly. I feel very superior to you speaking, writing and reading both French and English. I'm bilingual and loving it!!!
I remember this right before i was supposed to start school after 2 weeks off for x-mas vacations...this happened and no school for another 2 weeks...it was awesome! My yard was turned into an ice rink so me and my friends we just skated for hours!! It was beautiful but 2 weeks of that was more than enough!
i know a family that got tired of the seasonal up and down economy in central florida u.s. ,they are from CALI COLOMBIA which is 80's the whole year arround, well this family dont give a shiet about the tempeture ! they just moved a week ago from orlando to quebec !!!
and they said is not too bad !! lol i love this family ;God may bless them all the time !
do u guys like snowstorm or freezing rain or stuff like that.cuz i live in UAE which is extremely hot and i think it would have been a good experience if i would have witnessed this storm
Well, we don't have a choice. It's cold, so you get snow storms and sometimes ice storms. Always cross fingers before winter for no ice storms, and not too many snow storms. But hey, we live in Canada.
Yes Canada rules, but I'm in Quebec too. I'm a French-Canadian, lived here all my life and compared to other countries (if we don't talk about politics) we're doing pretty good.
It's changed a lot since I was young, lots of things I miss from the past, but a lot I appreciate like Internet from the present. It's incredible when you think of it, you can talk in real-time in chats with someone who lives on the other side of the world. Wow !!!
i was raised here in quebec since i was 5 months old :O, Yes we doing pretty good here. But some police are pretty racist though lol, oh well.
Yes It Is incredible! lol
well im still in high school, just 1 more year. But ill still stay in canada, but ill have other houses all over the world too lol. If im rich lol. But for now im staying in Canada since all my friends are here!
@aznSe7en07 Continue to reelect Harper who is politicaly the same than Bush. Sending youth in Irak and make them kiil children or sending teen in jail to become girlfriend of paedophile, to force young girls, who has been raped, keeping her babies and scrap his life... yeah, you're right, Canada rules.
it's not bad to say the ice storm was beautiful. i was only 9 at the time, but i enjoyed it. it was like an apocolyptic scene from something like resident evil. the city of montreal black without electricity, silent, and covered in ice. standing on mt. Royal, you could see sky scrapers covered in a veil of ice, and white ice-covered trees surrounding the city. i wish i was old enough to have enjoyed it more.
there was 1 in montreal in 1997 or 1998 but i wasnt here i moved to texas houstan for 1 year and we had a heat wave but then we moved back to montreal when i turned 5
yeah i remember this i live in ontario and i remember going outside and hitting the ice off the trees with our hockey sticks...that was the most canadian moment of my life
That was so COOL! No school or electricity for 3 weeks! Always cooked our food like it's done in the woods, in front of the fire place. Also sleeped in front of the fire place as the entire house was one big giant freezer. I can't believe our pipes didn't bust.
You were lucky, I didn't have a fireplace or gas heater. With no electric heater, it's pretty damn cold let me tell you. No electricity for a week, it wasn't COOL!
i had to shower at the local college. I remember trees bending down towards my street all the way down. There was so much damage, even in small town kemptville.
I went 8 days without electricity and can only say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Thank goodness for the "old fashioned" gas stove that kept us warm with hearty meals and my crappy old gas water heater that gave us the comfort of hot water.
wow i remeber when it happenedd I wasss soooo worried i was going to spend my birthday in the cold with no electricity buttt the day befor my b-day the electricity came back i was sooo happy
