Robert lang's models might be challenging but he's not a moron. I agree that john montroll is very skilled, but so is Robert Lang. I don't know if you know this but they both worked together on the book Origami Sea life, so therefore they are both equals

Well if you lack the ability to fold them then you are the lame not him. His diagrams are not for the mentally challenged. He also does have like 100 times more complex subjects and models than montroll. Sorry, but you simply suck ass. Maybe if you had some proper education and you wouldn't wanna fold 3 step ships anymore, you would find his models interesting. But that is not really possible i know.

Robert Lang is one big stupid motherf*cker, whose models are so stupid and complex, and only he can fold them (in all of his books, diagrams are totally ununderstandable, and it seems to me that between step 17, and step 18, for example, there should be at least 126 steps that aren't showed, off course). I don't understand how you people can love this horsefuck*er. I'm folding origami for about 2 and a half years, and the only thing that I can say is that John Montroll is

@firekharma , define art. Lots of modern art is created with technology now, it's just another technique, and he programs the computers and machines himself with software he wrote himself. He's just using different tools to his predecessors

the computer doesnt make instructions,it makes a crease pattern.that a sheet of paper where all folds are drawn on,so robert only needs to fold in the right order and the right direction(what still is alot of work)

so hes not realy doing oragami hes making 3d vigures in his comuter and then the comuter rites instructions on the paper and he just follows it, much like tracing

sort of but its not that easy.the "instructions" you speak of are generally solid lines and you have to figure out wich way they go etc.its not that he doesnt know to design without computer its just that he canm design faster.and the nthing with him doing it on computer, he created it so he had to of had massive knowledge on origami as it was.
