  • i have always loved this beautiful musical masterpiece...thanks, sunsong23...:)

  • God this must just depresses me! Well not the music i suppose just the fact that I cant play anywhere next or near like this!!!!

  • yOU ARE A BEST

  • the only high rated video with no apparent dislike~

  • Este flautista é divino!

    Deus o abençõe, sempre!

  • Este flautista é divino!

  • As far as i can see it may not really matter the instument used. It's the music thats so . . . . . it's hard to express in words. There are many pieces of music that lend themself to cross instrument interpretation. Gounods St cecilia mass comes to mind immediately

  • Meditation indeed, contemplation, self-examination, rumination, quiet time, introspection. All these and more.. Thank you

  • Thank you for uploading such a marvelous video. The photos and music are both beautiful in their own right.

  • I know this piece of music like the back of my hand... and I can tell you James Galway is SPOT ON!

Even if he wasn't, im sure you would allow him some license by applauding his own rendition of this piece.

I certainly would! I think he is incredible!

  • Umm im sorry did you mean James Gallaway needs improving??

  • @TheRockinpianist

    Yes, to be honest.

Some people are too polite to speak the truth or to talk out, but I let me go free.

It does not mean I want others to misunderstand that I am better, or I want to look at the dark side only.

  • No no I wasnt saying that at all just hard to believe this man needs improving XD

  • Sorry I mean Galway, I can never spell his name

  • vietfiddle,

It is a virtue to, to withhold your words, in the presence of a legend.

  • @dasteufelhund

I do not know there is a legend, ignorantly or innocently.

Is it a virtue not to cast an assumtion or judgement on others' frankliness?

  • if you do not know, ignorantly nor innocently, then why let your words be one that is of judgemental? Judgement hardly carries frank, why imply otherwise?

  • It would appear that you are looking for imperfections, rather than just enjoying what is good about music.

  • Sound is so alive and beautiful!

  • James Galway has such a wonderful tone, I really love this version! Another good interpretation of this piece comes from "Songs for Sunset" by Christian Lindberg. It's interesting to hear it on trombone, you should check it out.

  • Its perfect.

  • Beautiful and so relaxing!

  • Amazing tone, beautiful!

  • speakless... perfect of perfect

  • he is the best thks God 4 ur music

  • Beautiful. Simply amazing!

  • Lovely playing by the great wee man from Belfast. Beautiful ♪♫ 5***** ♥

  • This defines the word 'beautiful'! I'm amazed how some of the great violin compositions sound so 'right' on flute (at least on flute played by Sir James Galway!): I'm thinking of this one, also Liebesfreud, Schon Rosmarin. Perhaps it's because Sir James = the Kreisler of the flute.

  • Thanks for your wonderful comment. Sir Galway is an important factor, I agree :-) But there is something about the flute, isn't there.

Mr. Galway is one of my favorite artists. His music is so inspiring to me.

  • I would like to thank you for posting his beautiful music with such care and love.

  • @Sunsong23 yeah, you're right, there's something about the flute...the sound is so...sweet...it's perfect

  • @Sunsong23

They say that the sound that the flute produces is the closest to the human voice. because of the structure of it, it does not process the air (like the most brass and woodwinds), therefore the sound comes out pure with no distortion... Those frequencies that the flute and some say the HARP produce easily stimulate a part of the cortex , their resonance can calm directly the human brain. I think this is partially scientifically proven. Can't tell for sure you should check it out!

  • I really enjoyed the photos . How did you do this?
