  • lol, like mark would've actually walked around with his violin in his hand.

  • Poor Mark! He was so sweet and so talented! My soul is crying for him.

  • Mark Smeaton is totally Anne's GBF.

  • Poor Mark Smeaton

  • Anne is such a flirt, you can tell she grew up in France ;)

  • The only thing I don't get about the tudors is why they brought in Wyatt as Anne's lover before the king, I thought she was pre-contracted to Henry Percy before Woolsie broke it off?

  • @PalasAthenea Poor Mark Smeaton

  • Poor mark... he had totally no idea that he was heading for the execution block !!!

  • question, did they actually use one of the real Mark's songs for the Tudors or just make songs up?

  • They made them up, only one of Mark's compositions still exists, and at that it's only assumed to be his because it bears the image of a falcon thrashing at a pomegranate, Anne's crest -v- Katherine of Aragon's crest. It is thought he composed it for her coronation ceremony.

  • caliente ana bolena

  • someone know the name of melody of final Episode 2?

it is really importend for me

    thank you for all help

  • Poor Mark Smeaton... maybe his luck would have been better if he hadn't been introduced to the Boleyns...

  • Well, i find both henry and anne to have been hypocrites. On the one side many feminists claim how Anne wanted Henry to marry her bcz once he would sleep with her, he would only descard her. But than what had she been doing with Thomas Wyatt? It's hypocritical to expect the King of England to be chivilrous and to spread your legs for him only if he marries you while on ther other hand shagging away with a poet who is famous for being a womanizer. Why didn't she apply the same principles for him?

  • i don't think Thomas Wyatt and Anne slept together. those were only accusations for Henry to be rid of Anne

  • no..Anne had affair with Henry Percy, not Thomas Wyatt

  • I think it was because marrying Wyatt wouldn't be an advantageous marriage and the Boleyns would never allow it, and marrying Henry had all the glitz and glory (and wealth.) Therefore, preserving Henry's interest was more important. I'm not saying it's right, but that's probably what the logic was behind it.

  • @meut14 Well for one Wyatt was actually already married before he met Anne Boleyn.

  • I feel really sorry for Anne, the person she loved was sleeping with loads of other women and paying no attention to her. I know how she feels, she wants some friends around her to help her get through it. Especially her brother she was so close to him, then to be accused of sleeping with him - Henry was obviously a complete meat head to have ever accused her of such a thing. Im am completely sympathetic with her situation!

  • ja ja nett :)

  • I will say this about how the writers portrayed Anne. There were times in that show where I saw why Henry was ticked. He had all the problems of England to solve. Wolsey was dead, and the only thing on Anne's mind? "I want to be Queen, get your wife out of here. Make sure Elizabeth gets married, and forget Mary. Don't you dare look at other women." Then she doesn't give him a son (foolish to promise what you can't guarantee). It had to be frustrating, to hear constant demands and no reward.

  • The way you put it, I can see it from his side, too. I don't think it justified killing her, however.

  • SMEATON= WOAHHHH. <3

  • Natalie Dormer was stunning as Anne Boleyn! No one in this generation could have played her better!

    That's a gorgeous violin, btw!

  • agreed! natalie is teriffic

  • anne boleyn was such a flirt!!! the main reason she was accused with those men was cos she flirted excessively without realising. back then any queen consort was in a dangerous position if she flirted with any man, even if it didnt mean anything. if only anne used some common sense.

  • When you marry a tyrant, there is really no way of pleasing. Poor woman was walking on thin ice the moment he saw her.

  • Alright. First of all:There was practically no evidence against her. Second:Think about it. Henry thought her a witch and hated the fact that she always stood up for herself. It would have been easy for him to set her up with no questions asked. Thirdly:There's no reason to call out Phillipa Greggory. She's a great author. Lastly:There's no call for such language on this page!

P.S Phillippa Gregory writes for the entertainment of an audience. Get over the fact that it's not historcally right.

  • Yes, I agree the books are good and well written but FICTION nonetheless! there is nothing historical about them except that the characters, but she claims that her books are based purely on fact which is not true. She includes bibliography's to make her books appear more credible and begs fans on her website to give her good reviews because on amazon etc, they have been slated!

  • It's funny how Henry hated Ann for standing up for herself, when her personality and outspoken nature was what got him in the first place. She was an intelligent woman, and she wasn't afraid to show it.

  • Well a think only God know the truth!!!

  • Well I think you need to pick up a book.

  • Oh no i have more importants things to do!!!

i just a comment don´t angry with me....

I didn´t nothing wrong...Henry did it not me!!! relax baby!!!

  • I'm sorry but it annoys me when people who clearly know nothing about this period other then what they have seen in The Tudors or read about thanks to Phillipa "Knows shit" gregory. If you really want to know the facts then read up on it rather then having an opinion with no knowledge of the arguments for either side. Yes Henry did it but you and others like you judge her without knowing a thing about her other then that she supplanted Katherine as Queen

  • I read the biography of Ann Boleyn and I tell you shomething a really really hope that she was unfaithful because Henry deserv it, Henry don´t deserv a woman like Ann, i read that her eyes were beutiful and black another mistake in the tv serie don´t you think....

Well monarchy always win look wath happend to princess Di ...in a car "accident"....what a tragedy...and Charles wow married with that woman....Ces´t la vie...!!! thanks for your time : ) Nice talkin´ to you Bye Bye

  • Yes although Natalie Dormer has fair skin and blue eyes I think she still made a really amazing Anne Boleyn. Katherine of Aragon is rarely correct, the real Katherine didn't look hispanic. Personally I believe Princess Di was in a tragic accident nothing more nothing less. The paparazzi who hounded her most of her life are to blame. Yes some people sy Camilla has mellowed Charles though and that he doesnt shout off as much.

  • Henry got what he deserved when Catherine Howard cheated on him.

  • YES I AGREE !!!!!!!!!

  • @AndromedaMariaCarmen why do people say that anne didn't cheat on henry but catherine did.

  • Just one more quick thing, Anne's sister Mary was a whore first to the King of France then to Henry, can you blame Anne for wanting more then to be a King's mistress and have her reputation ruined.

  • Have you ever picked up a history book? All history scholars agree Anne was innocent of the charges against her. For starters many of the accusations said she was at one palace when the act was committed when the court was in an entirely different place. Get a life instead of constantly going on videos about Anne calling her a whore which she was not!

  • Agree Anne was totally innocent Henry was greedy and wanted a quick divorce from her so what better way then to have her killed. even IF (All thou she didnt) sleep with those men she didnt deserve to die, no one does.

  • Yep, I can't believe that moron "TheKingsWhore" got thumbs up while I got thumbed down for presenting historical fact lol!

  • well said

  • then you are a moron. She was obviously innocent. The charges were false bought about by Cromwell who wanted her to fall before she caused his. Also Henry had tired of her fiery attitude and her inability to give him a son. She was accused of cheating with men when a Queen was always surrounded by her ladies. She was accused of cheating in one palace when the court was at another. She was accused on the basis of evidence of one man who confessed to having sex with her whilst under torture.

  • If she was guilty, Why didn't all the mes confess, why was it the only one who did was the one that was tortured into it.

  • yup i agree wiv yuu

the other men who were accussed of adultery with anne, brereton, norris, weston and george boleyn all maintained they're innocence, it was just mark smeaton who cracked and said tht he was her lover cos he was tortured

so that proves that she wasnt guilty

i felt so sorry 4 mark smeaton!!

  • But i think too that it was a liar created by anns enemyes.

Henry VIII- that man had a lot of lovers

  • i think that he was one of ann lovers.

  • Did Smeathon slepts with Anne Boleyn??

  • No, Anne & Smeaton never slept together. Henry & Cromwell accused them of having an affair, though. It was all part of the plan to bring her down. Smeaton was one of the men executed for supposed adultery with Anne. In reality it was all made up rubbish.

  • thank you for solve the doubt. :)

  • Doesn't Anne end up sleeping with Thomas Wyatt?

  • no thats more bullshit made up by her enemies but she was very close to him and flirted with him lots before fat old henry got her.

  • I know in real life she didn't, I mean on the show did she?

  • No, Thomas Wyatt dreamt that she did though. I think that was in the first episode of season 2.

  • i have a serious crush on jamie thomas king (thomas wyatt)!

  • mark is so sexy its a shame hes gay

  • if the real mark smeaton was that talented, its such a shame that such talent was wasted because of corrupt court politics and henry's sexism

  • I keep thinking that while the actress is very beautiful her face shape, and eye color are wrong. Anne's eyes have been described as 'black, and beautiful' and in portraits her face seems a bit more narrow-but that's just being nit-picky I guess. I can't wait to see this whole Season!

  • She's such a flirt...

  • That was the way coutiers of that time talked to eachother. Very flirtacious! And yes Anne was very good at it! haha

  • The way she says "I will never forget that we were once TRUE friends" clearly implies they had been lovers imo.

  • It is now believed that Thomas Wyatt and Anne Boleyn never had a relationship, or at least they never slept together. It's thought by Eric Ives, the authority on Anne, that Wyatt had a thing for her, but that it never developed beyond 'courtly love', which was so fashionable at that time. Anne, did however have a relationship with Henry Percy, and got engaged to him in secret. Wolsey quickly put an end to this at Henry's request, and this is why Anne forever hated Wolsey after that.

  • I tend to believe that is so. I think the great majority of alleged affairs attributed to Anne were trumped up by her enemies-and sadly it seems Henry VIII was more than willing to believe them. Or perhaps he even plotted along with them-highly likely imo. Anne's death was nothing more than judicial murder-her blood is on Henry's hands.

  • Too true! Henry was a murderer. Poor Anne!

  • i was wondering when mark smeaton would show up on in the series..good quality video
