Excellent use of light and shadow, which was characteristic in European psychological thrillers of that era. I hope this film is available on DVD with English subtitles.
Well, it means I will hopefully be offered more roles, as more diverse roles, are hopefully handed to me.
I could certainly play a Roman Gladiator, a Greek doctor, and Italian con artist, or maybe even a Russian, of say Armenian decent. I've also been told I look Uighar (prounounced WEE-GHAR) of a group within the Chinese-Afghan border
LOL, this John Saxon guy, and I do have a similar stare, and facial features. Just my hair is of different style. Maybe when I'm older :-P
ACTORnScreenwriter, that WAS John Saxon! His voice got dubbed in italian for this movie, but don't be fooled and think it's just a look alike. If you must, check imdb or any other reliable source, and it will clearly tell you that WAS him.
@molcoo I haven't read anything that says Saxon's voice was dubbed for this movie. He knows Italian. I would be disappointed if it was really dubbed cause I wanted to get this movie cause it's looks fun and cause I wanted to hear him speak Italian. I know that he's made some spaghetti westerns but I don't really want to watch a spaghetti western just to hear him speak Italian.
Mario Bava's films with actors from different countries were always dubbed. There is no original version as they were filmed with actors speacking different languages: the english-speaking actors were acting in english and the italian-speaking actors were acting in Italian! If you wanna hear Saxon's voice, you need to find the english version of the film as he was acting in English and then dubbed. :)
I've posted "Mario Bava - Maestro of Macabre",an american documentary about Mario Bava's movies and their influences in the cinema of Tim Burton, John Carpenter, Joe Dante and more directors.I hope you enjoy it.Bye
Man, epic trailer. Shows how far cinema has sunk since. I dunno 'bout Italy, but over here in the states, it's one piece of crap flick after another.
Play this song for whichever chick you're trying to nail and she'll be putty in your hands. heh heh heh. That's hot.

@gbwisconsin I bought on Image DVD several years ago -- with English subtitles. Hope that it's still available; it's a smart, funny thriller.

Great music. Bava used some really great shots and lighting/shadowing. It's a nice film to look at.

When I first saw this as a young teenager on Chiller Theater I was taken by how beautiful Leticia Roman was.
40 years later and I still feel the same way.
A shame she didn't make more films.
