OMG This and "knocking on heaven's door" from Houses of the Holy are my favorite! Especially this little music montage(which is rare in SPN) is too good, the music, the parallel scenes of the brothers doing similar movements while being completely apart, even the freakin title are so heartbreakingly beautiful, it gets me every time!

...Also the "Road To Nowhere" scene from Something Wicked (this one really gets me, especially going back and watching after all that's been going on in seasons 4 and 5- the same with the other early ones too); "Simple Man" from "Free to Be You and Me" (LOVE this one; it makes me cry every time); Bad Moon Rising from the car crash and of course any of the "Carry On My Wayward Son" and "Thunderstruck" recaps, though they're not really part of the show :-).

I was thinking it'd be fun to see what peoples fave musical moments of the show are- scenes where the music and the show just fit perfectly together and take your breath away. Mine are the "Knocking on Heaven's Door" scenes from "Houses of the Holy" and now the one from "Dark Side of the Moon" too The "Laugh, I Nearly Died" scene from Bloody Mary; "Peace Of Mind" scene from Hook Man; "Silent Lucidity" scene from Heart...

And it's made even more poignant with the line "Mama told me when I was young" because Mary's gone and never got a chance to tell them these things, or anything she told them they would've probably been too young to remember (certainly Sam at least- we know Dean remembers some things but probably not a lot).

This is one of my all time fave parts from the series. As soon as the music starts I start to cry! Everything about the the music and the clips and with what was going on at the time between the brothers- it's simply perfect!

this great great show is made even greater by great great music ... and I'm not talking about just this scene or the fifth season , I'm talking about everything ; from the very first episode their great music choice made this show even more complete and epic !!! I mean Lynyrd Skynyrd , Bad Company , Metallica , AC/DC , BOC , Kansas and of course Led Zeppelin and so on ... do i have to say more :-)

Who ever picks the music for Supernatural is a genius! I heard this song on the radio and immediately thought of this part (and the emotions it evokes)! Every song is a perfect fit. I love Supernatural, it is one of the best shows on TV!!!!!
