Hero should still use the cravate on occasion, yeah? To switch entirely from a cravate-based offense to an elbow-based offense is unnecessary and gives up a lot of good moves.
Go looks smaller. Maybe it's because in ROH he mostly wrestled the smaller wrestlers and Hero is 6'5" and has gained a lot of muscle mass in the last couple of years. Maybe I just haven't seen Go in 2 years.
Chris, this match was AWESOME! I've heard of you but i've never seen ANY of your matches until tonight. Thank you for being a pioneer in professional wrestling and not sports entertainment.
Chris Hero has got to be the only wrestler I know of that can sell an excellent match while using nothing but non-kick striking moves. His in ring psychology is years beyond what it should be.
@isaidmrw Precisely. He used to do hundreds of moves, now he really only does a select few but he just understands exactly how to use those moves and it makes his moveset seem larger than he makes it. Very clever.
Hero's in ring work and look has really caught up to his promo skills, its great to see the indy's full of so many guys that are so well rounded or on the cusp of being truly well rounded.
This match solidifies too me that it should soon be Hero vs Shiozaki for the GHC belt, and make have it like a Misawa/Kobashi dynamic. Hero could even go back to wearing his Hero pants, but have them patterned like Misawa.
I swear this match would be just as awesome, if not more so, since it would be for the belt. :D
the majors would have him cut his hair take roids and stop to get a little size and change his name to chris hanson and it woulnd be the same great wrestler we see here and on the indies
yeah i kinda dont want to see bryan danielson go because a lot a talent seems to have no spot anywhere besides ecw or intercontinental and us title reigns. but who knows they might decide to make the secondary titles the workhorse titles again. then they will have a spot
Chris Hero looks like Seann William Scott...kinda.

Hero obviously loves working in Japan, wish he had got the tag titles with Bison or even Claudio instead of Keith Walker.

@GringoTensai Ring of Honor. Hero and Go were apart of the group Sweet and Sour Inc. in 2008.

I know I'm late to the party, but this was the first full Chris Hero match I've seen. It will not be the last.

great ending. Its a shame we had Shiozaki and the former NWA' Champion (I forget his name) tagging in ROH instead of Hero.

It's nuts how much Hero's physique has improved over the past few years. That's some commitment in the gym

I agree. His new gear, look and attitude have me marking out for him more often than I used to. His promos? Outstanding.

Wow. One of the better matches I've seen from Hero. And yes, those lariats were so made for him. Nice match!

Wow, that match was awesome. The crowd was way into it. It seemed to me they were more into Hero than they were into Shiozaki. Thats pretty shocking.
Hero ftw.

A very good match there, you really know how to do some strong style.
Electronic91Videos 2 years ago 2
Jeez! I didn't think a Gaijin could possibly get that loud of a reaction in Japan nowadays, but Hero, you got things going for you over there!
fizzucker 2 years ago 3
This was truly Hero's best match in Japan to date, even though he did get his chest caved in with those chops.
