Wow! I'm hoping this will somehow find it's way to America soon. I bought the Coffin Joe box set Fantoma released years ago & have watched the films many times. I'm thrilled to see that Marins is still making films. I also hope one day all the Coffin Joe movies will be released in DVD format although I want to see this one on the big screen. Mostly, I hope there's a woman who will bear his child. By the way, the young Coffin Joe is so handsome. *Sigh*

espero não me decepcionar com o filme, mas olhando o trailer, uma coisa ja me decepcionou: a naturalidade na fala dos atores deixam muito a desejar. E esse negócio de falar "Eu estou", ninguém q eu conheço em todo o Brasil fala "estou", fala "eu tô", eu comparo um pouco com o "I will" e o "you are" do inglês que também é cortado na fala.

Does he mean that he's doesn't like that they say "I am" instead of "I'm" or "we are" instead of "we're"? I guess that's because they wanted Zé to sound more sophisticated or more poetic when he speaks in this final installment. That is just my guess, but I ain't got a clue. Ray, where you at? :-)

In Hollywood movies, the traditional "arch villain" typically speaks in an overly refined manner. Maybe this is what they are going for.

I agreed with you, but I´m not telling about the villain. I think mojica is a good actor in fact, but the others in the movie are so weird, not all of couse, but, u know, maybe they are just bad actors. It is my opinion anyway

I was standing a few feet away when Mojica was working on his grammar. An assistant kept telling him to repeat a certain word and annunciate it more clearly. This is when I took the photo of Mojica in the makeup chair, rehearsing his lines. His son, Cro, wrote something about this in his diary that you can find on the official Ze do Caixao site. I don't know if this explains what ceboobo is talking about.

I can understand Alice Braga speaking much better than the other on "Lower City" because of her over-perfect dictation (wich is not natural for that kind of whore), but i think she is a good actress and her speaking wasn´t a problem.

But it was so weird when she appears on I am Legend.. She actualy looks like a bad actress. Will Smith looks disoriented with the lack of improvisation and her paced talking.

Maybe directors fault for not giving acting directions.

Mojica wore artificial nails in Encarnacao do Demonio. Eight of his 10 nails are cut short. He left two long, a thumb and index finger. They are about an inch and a half long. Mojica is a very thoughtful man, emotional, but also very practical and straight-forward. A very serious man, but with a twinkle in his eye.

Mr. Mojica has said in a recent interview that he will travel to 30 countries in 2008 to promote the film. I don't know if America will be one of them, but I would be surprised if he did not come here.

This appears to be the official, definitive word. The new Coffin Joe movie will hit theater screens in Brazil on March 13, 2008.

I was searching Orkut for information about Encarnacao do Demonio. Someone who sounded like he was "in the know" said this trailer was intended to be shown to distributors and investors. As good as this looks, the finished product will probably look a lot slicker.

I honestly don't know. It doesn't look like Mojica or his reflection. It certainly isn't me. It could be Rubens Mello. I suspect it is supposed to be a dummy in a funhouse at the film's climax, but that is just a guess. We'll have to wait for the movie to be released to find out for sure!

Looking at the mystery figure, it appears his feet are sticking out at what should be his waist. This could mean it is a three-foot dummy hanging from the ceiling. Coffin Joe could have put his costume on the dummy to fool his pursuer. OK, now you've got me stepping through this trailer frame by frame looking for "clues!"

I'm not going to reveal any spoilers, but there are a couple of moments in the script that kind of correspond to that shot.

Jose Mojica Marins will appear as Ze do Caixao Aug. 24 during the Festival Cine Morbido at the Blackmore Rock Bar in Sao Paulo, where he will present a special preview of Encarnacao do Demonio (The Embodiment of Evil). I do not know if this is the official premiere of the completed film. Other Coffin Joe films will be shown during the festival, which will include performances by several heavy metal bands. If anyone has more definitive information, let me know.

OK, Dario Argento's conclusion to his "Three Mothers" trilogy, "La Terza Madre", WAS my most eagerly anticipated film. But after seeing this trailer, Marins new film has moved into that spot. I knew it was coming, and I've been looking forward to it, but it looks even better than I expected. Coffin Joe is back and I can't wait.
