  • i can see nips!!!!

  • How are there so many dislikes? I didn't think it was possible to dislike Bishop Allen...

  • Soooooo good!

  • Wait Wait Wait? Who the fuck doesn't like this? I didn't even know it was possible not to like BIshop Allen

  • HOW in the hell can there be so many dislikes??

  • That acoustic guitar needs a mic! awesome song btw

  • That acoustic guitar needs a mic!

  • DANGETT YOU WERE THERE !!

  • * yAAAAWn :O

  • Good song... however... it took me a bit to figure out what it sounded like. It sounds like 867-5309/Jenny by Tommy Tutone.. LOL. Still good though :)

  • i wish people like this could meet people like GG Allin....

  • fucking love this song

  • good band, but that didn't sound like the best live rendition

  • That sounds like it could be form a Saturday Night Live sketch or something.

  • what the fuck is that !!

  • good music

  • isnt bishop allen a high school?

  • i wouldnt be suprised

  • yeah it is i saw it befor its not far from where i live :P XD

  • street

  • Naww its a school next to ESA

  • both!

  • damn i wish i was there!

  • r these te same guys from nick and norahs infinite playlist?

  • yea

  • yes

  • yes

  • Why would anyone do that?

  • comforting bullshit

  • Hey you are good, the recording don't do you justice.

  • BISHOP ALLEN RULES!

  • I was at this show! It was a great venue and Bishop Allen killed it.

  • you suck! Bishop allen rules.

  • great band. great song. audio on this is just really shitty.

  • This reminds me of Simon and Garfunkles Kodachrome song. Because they both have camera themes. And because Paul Simon is sleeping on my couch right now. I am gonna let him sleep it off, but its time we had a talk about living within his limits. I think its great that he has pushed himself to learn the trapeze, but he is pushing himself to hard. A body can only handle so much. Wish me luck, Paul can be quite a handful when confronted with these things. For a while he was into baking obsessively.

  • I actually like this a lot. An interesting sound and what I can understand/hear of the lyrics (due to the fuzzy audio) is very fun, light and interesting... refreshing and probably heading places... keep it up bandmembers. Keep on keeping on with these seeds of greatness.

  • bella

  • Cool

  • This is a good example of the melodic mixes that are featured on the Secretly Canadian label. Not overpowering, but a good danceable mix.

  • I was born a Unicorn?

  • This why there are no more rock stars and rock music is in the trash can. John Belushi would of broke his guitar in pieces and handed it back to him Animal House style. Get laid!

  • Nice tune.

The guy in the striped top reminds of Marshal Crenshaw for some reason.

  • Pretty good...

  • I freaking love Bishop Allen <3<3<3

  • I like it. it took me a bit to make the connection between MUTUAL APPRECIATION and the lead singer, and now that I remember where I've seen Justin Rice, I'm even more excited to know he's a legitimate musician. Bishop Allen is a good band.

  • bla bla

  • i like how people say "they don't copy other people." Ummm, since they're in their own genre that means, a hermherm, they're all the damn same!

  • why are 9 of these vids featured? honestly

  • to piss you off of course

  • uhm i like bishop allen.

  • OMG! Dude this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! at least in my opinion it sucks!

  • Check out RJ and Pitchorks for more good music!!! Good Job!

  • i love bishop allen

    their EP's are better though...

  • it sounds like shit...

  • take another picture with your click click click click camerrrra

  • I wanted to hate this guy's music because he's wearing an ugly shirt, but it's not bad, really.

  • whats so bad about that shirt?

  • i think his shirt is kinda sweet, actually. i would wear it

  • Well if you want to see the next big thing check out "Time to say goodbye by Michael Saks" on You Tube

  • Good song!

This band was on Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist! Ahhh! Favorite movie ever!

  • oh there great i love indie music and i cant believe how manny people hate this

  • the next big thing

  • i like it there way more talented then all the mainstream rock and hiphop groups cause they do there own thing they dont copy everyone else like most popular musicians do.

im a indie fanatic! but i respect all music but none of you people respect music u know nothing about music just dont listin to it if you dont like it

  • This music makes me want to kill myself

  • Then do it.

  • i like it there way more talented then all the mainstream rock and hiphop im a indie fanatic! but i respect all music

  • can everybody just appreciate the good music and stop leaving these horrible comments?

if u dont like it, just dont comment

  • add me subscribe

    thx

    do this

i will do that to you

  • waw

  • good song!

  • why the hell is this featured....

  • Bishop douche bottle's listed as a "promoted" video. How much did that cost? Jackasses.

  • I have to mute this shit every time I check back to see if some ball bag responded to my subversive comments. The cute chick playing the obsolete percussion is like, OMG, like so indie.

  • If I had a shovel I would bash these peoples faces in with it

  • this is awesome

  • Ba Ba Ba Ba...Ba Ba Ba Ba.. Booeeeyy

  • Oh these boys (and girl) are bad.. They are probably one of the few bands that could be improved by the members taking drugs.

  • xylophone player, check. lame singer playing an acoustic guitar, check. bedhead, check. wearing "I don't care how I look" clothes which are actually carefully selected for maximum indie cred, check. :sensitive" singin, check. yep, this crappy band has all the hallmarks of a lame-ass indie group.

  • It's bells, not a xylophone douche-fag.

    Sorry, had to.

At any rate they do have some good music. I realize your point that there are some 'scene' bands, and I don't know much about Bishop Allen, but don't discredit the genre. I would prefer listening to a 'lame-ass indie group' then some modern Disney shit, or another soulless mainstream band. Find whatever sound you like, but don't go out of your way to hate on someone else's music.

  • oh, shut up, twat. first of all, who gives a shit if it's a xylophone, bells, or a marimba- you got the point. "waaaahhh, I need to split hairs!" second, I'm not discrediting *any* genre. what you DON'T know is that there's a billion bands considered indie that I love. it so happens this particular one blows and is about as paint-by-numbers as they come. "find what you like and dont hate on someone else" says the guy who's probably left a million bad comments on videos HE didn't like. fuck off.

  • take another picture with ya c c c c camera.. hahaha blow it out my ass u suck.

  • Sounds like a forgotten kinks 80's effort.

I like some indie. But indie artists were originally a reaction against the corporate agenda of big labels and their overplaying radio saturation This song could sell a lot of , um, cameras. Look for it an annoyingly catchy tv ad near you. Dollars over art= safe predictable rock.

The song is catchy, but I also feel like I'm supposed to like it, which makes me not like it. Wish them the best though.

  • not good.. would have been a time to go get a mimosa ... then they'd be the greatest if I was sitting on a beach in barbados... LOL

  • The label must be trolling comments because they removed comment suggesting that you just type in "Jenny (867-5309)" to hear the song this "band" ripped off. Because it sucks way less than this. Bishop Boy Lover just sucks. Thanks for coming out and keepin' scene alive...NOT.

  • I have to mute this shit every time I check back to see if some ball bag responded to my subversive comments. The cute chick playing the obsolete percussion is like, OMG, like so indie.

  • The chorus sounds a lot like "Jenny (867-5309)" made famous by Tommy Tutone in the 80's. Not as bad as what Vanilla Ice did to Queen stealing "Under Pressure" but still pretty shitty. More like Bishop Mc Ice Ice Baby.

  • Maybe some people listen to songs out of the Top 40 on the radio.

  • nice song

  • yeah this is crap

  • MAINSTREAMER.

  • I am so indie that I know all of these SXSW bands.

  • This song sounds like it could have been a late eighties novelty hit , or the dated B side no one knew you liked. The chord progression is so overplayed these days. The thrill seems to be that they might not even pull it off live, so you feel the heart in the performance working to hold it together, Catchy, but not even the threat of an edge, or relevancy. The bridge is a welcome change from 2:30 of same vibe. Catchy, but choking on the escapist indie pop. Labels like safe corporate ideas.

  • Music is for everyone. If you dont like someones music thats ok, but why talk so much garbage on them?

  • fgdfgd

  • the group is congratuletions!!!

  • i love these boys, they have been around for awhile and are actually great musicians. click click click click is an amazing song :3

  • I really really really love this song. :)

  • SXSW- once a festival where one could see unknown, underground bands struggling to get to the top. once a festival where a totally unknown band could send in a submission and, if they were good, maybe get a spot. NOW a festival that caters to already signed or already known/popular bands. fuck SXSW. it might as well be bonaroo,

  • Hey this is what happens when the mainstream music industry starts poking it's nose into everything looking to scrape together dwindling profits to stave off the inevitable

Let society strike it dead, the music industry needs to change

  • If I saw any of these people wlaking down the street I would beat them all to a bloody pulp then go and get some coffee

  • I guess anyone can be a musician if you can drag your fingers across a guitar and wear some tight pants and flannel

    they suck

  • thats some serious hatin

  • this band has been around for awhile fuck nuts! They are pretty good too. Sorry they don't sound like lil wayne.

  • good

  • How much did these clowns have to pay YouTube to "feature" their video?

  • The lead singer (Justin Rice) played in an independent film called "Mutual Appreciation" (currently showing on Sundance Channel), in one of the most irritating performances of all time. He comes off as the kind of asshole that you'd walk across the street just to punch in the face and knock out cold. The other one was in a film by the same director called "Funny Ha Ha", which was much better than "Mutual", mainly in that Justin Rice's baboonish leer was nowhere to be found in it.

  • Id like to take their guitars and bash them over their heads.

  • Luv these guys!

  • technical foul number 14 blue beeeeep 2nd one beeeep 3rd one

  • i likey nicw job

  • i heart this song

  • they should have sung Middle Management.lol

  • eh not bad

overall, this SXSW is not that impressive. most of these bands dont know how to engage an audience, or sing in a general, public address tone, its self-involved, masturbatory, boring easily made dance beats, predictable melodies, lyrics etc.

i dont hear much good songwriting either. lazy indie rock, half-hearted, kinda told ya, kinda feel etc.

this band's ok though. singers got courage at least. need that insane courage though

  • wow

  • interesting

  • Why the hell are these crappy songs featured today?

  • this is gay

  • haha, i know this song by heart.

  • love this song. click,click,click,click....amazing

  • coool music dudes

  • I love this guy. His newest album, Grrr... is amazing. He rocks. Check out 'Dimmer'. That's my favorite. I think he was featured on iTunes Indie Spotlight, too. :D

  • you love the GUY Bishop Allen? thats the name of the entire group.

  • Whoops. My bad. I know it's a group, it's obvious, just a slip-up. Thanks for pointing that out.

Though, is it really necessary to edit youtube commments? Almost all of them are crap, anyways.

  • This is tedious

  • Why on earth is this featured 12 times!

  • um...featured?

  • the shadow knows

  • why the hell is this shit featured ?!?!

  • odio este youtube!! cambia el flash a cada ratoo !! :D

  • I <3 Bishop Allen. And SXSW, but I don't really think it's worth going until I'm over 18 (maybe 21) - but when they day comes, I'm going to love every minute of the sxsw greatness! It sounds/seems/looks/has to be a fab time.

  • its not really worth going if youre under 18. you have to be at least 18 to get in annywhere. and you have to be 21 to get in most places since theyre mostly playing in bars.

  • I SPAM

  • Pretty Average Song...just nothing special or catchy about it..

  • dood that guitar part in the begining sounds just like..... hes about to sing...

u gotta b urself... u cant b noone else... yes im feeling supersonic give me gin and tonic!!!!!!!!

  • It's not that the audio is bad, its just that the band's sound is unoriginal and, honestly, comes off sounding sophomoric.

  • come on

I'll pay double for it to go away.

  • jeezus... Americana is the worst genre of music ever devised... yes, worse than Scouse House *shudder*

  • What is this crap? And why is that guy jumping around like he's a rock star? This is indie! Not even good indie. His voice is too muffled and the filmography is going all over the place.
