  • and that is why your are not able to start it

  • at 2:25 the place that is spewing gas out is not a over flow it's your drain plug there should be an adjustment screw near there to close it that is why you have no gas in your carb I know because I just did that like 2 mins. ago lol

  • Never ever spray carb cleaner in a caruretor. On the GY6 carb there is a o-ring in the carb and carb cleaner will mess it up. Even on your car u should not spray cleaner in the carb unless u read the instructions and check with a mechanic.. There are many rubber o-ring in there that will swell from the carb cleaner.

  • Check your valve adjustment. more than likely thats it. check when motor is cold

  • what an idiot, dont quit your day job

  • a pin fell out the same thing happen to me were the gas is coming out thats were the pin needs to go

  • i have a zingyue scooter and when its on the back kick stand it runs well but when i ride it want pick up speed and it want go pass thirty but last yaer it did sixty does antone have any idea what it could be

  • @gibsonfamily , i dealed many of those situations, it simply needs a tune up kinda thing, get a new spark plug, oil and the main reason that happens is because believe or not the gas fuel lines are dirty and filters and the gas tank is dirty, just take it apart and clean it all with mostly water the fuels line and filter and it should run clean and powerful again, let me know if this works

  • You lost the stop screw where the gas is draining out. This is actuall the carb bowl drain. Take the hose off the metal part bolted to the cv drive cover. and plug it with a golf tee and this will solve your problem. Chinese scooters are noted for losing bolts and screws.

  • Just put again the diaphragm ant try to put the carburetor into the intake air manifold with care. Probably your engine it won't start because you have an air leak at the intake hose.

  • i did not read all to see if this was listed but the tube shown that you said gas was running out of is to have a screw(plug) in it then carb will get gas.

  • If fuels comming out the drain the carb needs a full clean! Happened to me. Take the Diaphragm out. anything rubber tbh. Repace it coz its kaput :(

Take the main jet out a soak the whole thing in "Gun wash" for a few hours. Then blow over it with compressed air :) Oh and it also could be your automatic choke is jammed on.

  • Do you know how to fix the automatic choke, I think that my carburetor choke is jammed. Any help I will preciate it

    Thanks

  • You can remove the choke for inspection, but if its gone its gone :(

You may need to repace the unit. Or you maybe able to fit a manual choke converter :)

  • at 2:35 that is your blow-by oil. It gets separated from the crankcase air and collected in the hose. All you need to do is check the hose every once in a while and drain it out. It's a normal maintenance thing.

  • @odius94 My scoot is giving out some weird yellow gunk out of that blow-by pipe... Is that's normal or is something up???

  • @charlie232 Drain you oil and Gasoline, Take the carb all apart go buy ome carb cleaner sprey all the internal parts really good. After that Leave the drain Plug out of your engine run ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid through there let all of it drain out put the plug back in and fill it with 10W-30 or 10W-40 and put the car back on put it back together put new gasoline in there Put one ounce of Fuel injector cleaner into your gas to keep the carb clean then start it hold it wide open throttle

  • did ya see the big split in the diaphram???

  • yeah, noticed that too. Wonder why he didn't see it?

  • Diaphragm? What's that and where?

  • at 1:36 you have it in your hand. It's called a "Slide Diaphragm". That might be the problem.

  • Still not running. Tried working on it this weekend. Diaphragm? What's that and where?

  • its in the top of the carb if you have a split in it there will be no suction hence no fuel going in

its the big round rubber thing when u unscrew the top.

  • But I still had a problem after bypassing it. then i changed the fuel filter. 90% of the prob. Clean fuel, new scooter, but their fuel filter was a piece of crap. I put a 3 dollar filter in to replace the original(remember, only two days old) and i drove it home with no more stalling. It still doesn't seam to have to power it should, which is why I came looking here. get what you pay for though. wish i could have afforded a vespa or something!

  • see my gy6 valve adjustment procedure... doing that simple adjustment fixed all my power problems and startup problems.

  • Spray a little starting fluid in it and then try to start it. If it starts, you have a fuel problem. If it doesn't. you have an electrical ( switch off )or CDI problem.

  • Hey dude, I'm having a fuel problem too. The scooter is running dry or lean as it is called. The way I know it, is because I'm always cheking the spark plug to see how is burning the fuel. The spark plug is coming out kinda white-gray which means is running with poor fuel preasure..."The day before was running perfect"... Do you guys have any idea of what would it be.....? Why does it changed soo drasticaly from one day to another?

  • May the vaccum valve on the bottom of the fuel tank it is stuck or you have a debris inside the fuel hoses.

  • I just thought of one more thing. make sure your emergency cut off switch is set to the center. Spent 20 min at mcdonalds with my scooter not starting up, and I remembered i set the cutoff switch to prevent theft. Doh.

  • oh yeah, that pinched hose still on was to prevent oil leakege during shipping. yank it if it hasn't been yanked yet. if your not getting fuel, your fuel pump might already be bad. Hey these things don't cost $1200 for their great quality. new fuel pump should be under warrenty, if not they are really cheap, just check ebay or alitescooters.

  • That clear plastic hose on the bottom connects to an air intake that relieves the pressure on I guess the brake oil.... the mechanic recommended I leave that hose on just to catch any oil overflow, but yank the pinched off hose right above it that connects to the same triangle box. I bought this same bike. Mine also misfires once or twice with in the first 5 min of warming up. Then no miss fire anymore. but as we all know misfires are a problem with the timing belt.

  • that little hose you showed with the spring on it that you said that had gas coming out when you try to start it is the drain. nothing should come out of there so make sure you still have your screw in the bottom it will be a flat head screw up inside that fixture right on the bottom.i think it might have vibrated loose and fell out.good luck

  • i dont know much about carbs but id start off by checkin the hoses from the carb, change the plugs, use a lill foggin spray and try to push it and start it. may be mix a lill dry gas in there just incase if you somehow got water in there. good luck
